When bartender Bay Bridges saves a woman from being roofied, she accidentally kills the man responsible. When the dead man is reanimated, Bay gets pulled into a chilling adventure of mystery and murder, but if she digs too deep, she might risk revealing her most treasured secret: she’s a witch.
A bartender, Bay Bridges, sees a man put something into a drink. When she sees a young woman drink the tainted drink she knows she has to act. She follows them out of the bar and confronts the man. Thinks get heated for Bay and her power comes out, she drains him of his life force and ends up killing him. She takes the semi-conscious girl, Nicco, home. The next day Nicco has a phone video of Bay killing the man. Thus begins their adventure together.
This is a short paranormal mystery filled with great characters and imagination. The characters have a lot of personality and as the first book about them, I am sure more background stories will come up. I felt the relationship between the two female characters was well defined and creative in terms of how they met. It was also good to see how they grew throughout the story. The mystery was interesting and filled with enough twists and turns to keep one interested. I look forward to the next book.
Book two
Bay and Nicco were confronted by a policewomen, who is not human, who asks her to help with a case. She states she is part of a secret organization which monitors paranormal activity and keeps humans in the dark. Bay enters a beauty pageant in order to try and capture a killer before the winner is announced.
This is a great paranormal Witchy mystery. The characters are wonderful and well defined with lots of personality. The narrative is great and the dialogue is witty. The mystery is interesting with twists and turns and surprises that keep one interested until the end. I can not wait until the next book.
Book three
Bay’s father suddenly appears and asks her and Nicco to help him find Bay’s mother. Although she does not really trust her father, they agree to try to help. They encounter Sirens’s who are tight lipped and do not give up their secrets easily. This is going to be be some adventure.
This is yet again another great cozy paranormal mystery. It is full of great creative character with lots of personality and flaws which make them more interesting. The mystery is full of surprises, twists and turns that keep the reader invested in the story until the climax. I especially enjoyed the characters and how they worked together. It is a good short cozy paranormal mystery.

Bay is a bartender- and a witch. Not just the howl at the moon and bang a tambourine kind. The kind that needs to feed off a little energy or sexual tension often to not feel murderous.
Bay has seen a lot as a bartender. She has also been forced to desperate measures to protect a gal or two from some ugly scenarios, some perhaps linked to things or entities rumored to go bump in the night.
A new force in town offers a chance to pool their skills, trying to even use a bit of leverage to motivate her to join him. With a little help, Bay might be able to contain the baddie, but she cannot do it alone- and it may cost her a favor with a special policed to stay out of worse trouble.
Intense start to a series that really pulls you in.
