Readers familiar with Kitten Taylor’s backstory understand just how broken she is…just how incomplete she feels…just how much the damage that was done to her has destroyed who she was. So, in some ways, the title of hers, Cole Roberts, and Mason Scott’s story, Siren Reborn, is a perfect metaphor for what Kitten has started to build with Cole, but a complete ‘rebirth’ for all three of them cannot happen until they let go of their pasts and form a perfect union among them – one that’s rooted in unconditional love…one that makes each of them completely whole.
The biggest point of contention is the animosity between Cole and Mason. Nothing good can come for any of them unless Cole and Mason can find a way to move past the heartache they caused each other…the pain that came with destroying what once meant everything to them. But that means that they’ll need to trust in the woman who wants to be with them both, unlike the one from before who tore them apart.
Through the course of the story, readers witness three fractured characters find their way out of a dark place toward the sense of love, belonging and completeness that they’ve always wanted. Amidst that journey, though, they also have to contend with a killer who has them in his sights, but these three have overcome too much to lose what they’re building, which means that the strength and determination all three have found within themselves will need to rise above everything else.
Siren Reborn takes three people who individually are struggling and brings them together in what they hope is a lasting way. And witnessing the individual progress Kitten, Cole, and Mason make and how much they grow to become the threesome that they were always meant to be epitomizes the story’s title and illustrates just how necessary second chances are in the chaotic and unpredictable world we live.
4 Poison Apples
I purchased this book through Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Triggers: some talk of rape/torture,
M/M/F, all involved with each other
***Spoilers***
Cole and Mason were previously involved together along with a female sub. A tragedy happened, they went their seperate ways with broken hearts.
Kitten was from a strict home with no love, kidnapped and had horrendous things done to her by a madman and then rescued. But she was lost until Cole. And Mason. Together these 3 will navigate hurt feelings, lack of self worth and broken hearts to find themselves whole again.
I have purchased and read every book in the TEXAS Sirens and Nights in Bliss series. I have liked every story. Lexi Blake/Sophie Oak has written characters that you want to meet and know. (Which is hard for me because usually when a series goes on and on, I lose interest. I can’t wait for the next book. )
I want to move to Bliss myself.
Oh steamy goodness, Siren Reborn was AWE-MAZING! Ultra hot and heartfelt with a very good amount of suspense this romance had me enraptured right from the very start. Lexi Blake knows how to feel her readers in with phenomanel characters and one heck of a good plot. This is certainly a book YOU must put on your TO READ list of 2020!
Ever since Kitten’s character was introduced, I have been curious about her. I wondered what Lexi would make of her. With what she had been through, having been in the hands of a sadistic killer for so long, there were a few options that her road could have taken. I should have realized that like all of Lexi’s characters she would be a little of everything and more than I expected.
Kitten was kidnapped as a naive college freshman by a man whose bent version of BDSM transformed her into a broken woman in need of direction and clarity. Under the protection of Julian Lodge, she got safety, treatment, and found a home where she wasn’t judged for what happened to her and what she becomes but she needs more. Enter Dom Cole Roberts. Cole takes on Kitten to continue her re-training but virtually ignores her, taking things painfully slow. Cole has been burned before and stays behind his walls to be safe. Mason, once Cole’s sub, was ostracized when a tragedy struck him and Cole but a phone call taken by Kitten changes everything.
Tackling PTSD with Kitten, Mason, and Cole, Blake’s Siren Reborn gave Kitten the story she deserved while maintaining her usual level of heat and kink. A story of redemption, forgiveness, and healing wrapped around intrigue and a whodunit that involves the side characters that live within the Siren world Siren Reborn is a great addition to the BDSM Sophie Oak/Lexi Blake world.
I am such a huge fan of Lexi Blake! The Texas Sirens Series may be my ultimate favorite of all of her books! Cole, Mason and Kitten’s story pulled me in and did not let me go! I have been not-so-patiently waiting for Kitten’s story and I was not disappointed at all! Another Five-Star read!
5 Their Connection is Off the Charts Stars!!!
I absolutely loved this book so much. We had a brief glimpse of Kristen in a previous book but in Siren Reborn we learn so much more about her and what she needs to become the woman she was before her capture and torture. Enter Cole who is bound and determined to help this woman and himself by bringing her out of her shell.
The problem is, is that their connection isn’t as strong or captivating as either of them likes. There’s something missing and when Mason comes back into Cole’s life, the missing link is filled. This story is one of redemption, love, forgiveness, and becoming everything you’re destined to become.
I loved Cole’s patience with Kitten and I loved how Mason loved her and Cole. It’s an uphill battle for this trio too. Add in the suspense of someone trying to tear them apart and possibly kill one of more of them and it’s a little bit of a nail biter!! I certainly didn’t expect what happened that’s for sure!!!
When I got to the end of this book, knowing it’s the last in this series, I’m not going to lie. I cried a few tears. There’s so much love with this family that are both blood related and those not of blood but family of the heart. Our heroine comes into herself almost like a caterpillar metamorphosing into a stunning butterfly and then men who love her will never let her not be loved again!
4.25 stars–SIREN REBORN is the eighth instalment in Lexi Blake’s (aka Sophia Oak) contemporary, adult TEXAS SIRENS erotic, romantic suspense series. This is businessman Cole Roberts, attorney Mason Scott, and Katherine ‘Kitten’ Taylor’s story line. SIREN REBORN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although I recommend reading the series in order as Kitten’s story line has been building from the start.
NOTE: SIREN REBORN is a story with MM, MMF, MFM, and MF sexual situations that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.
SIREN REBORN is the re-release and re-edited version of the author’s 2014 book written as Sophie Oak, of the same title.
Told from three third person perspectives (Cole, Mason and Kitten) SIREN REBORN follows the building relationship between Dom Cole, Switch Mason and submissive Kitten, and the second chance romance between Mason and Cole. From their early teens, Cole and Mason have been best friends and lovers. Cole Roberts was always the Dominant in their friendship and relationship but the death of their submissive a few years earlier pushed Mason Scott out of Cole’s life, a push predicated on grief, guilt and blame. Fast forward to present day wherein Mason finds himself the target of a potential threat, landing himself in the hospital, only to be released into the custody of Mason’s newest sub. Enter Kitten Taylor, the woman with whom both Cole and Mason will fall in love. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Cole, Mason and Kitten, and the potential fall-out as our trio is targeted in a game of cat and mouse, a game meant to destroy the loves of Cade Robert’s life; and Mason’s need for revenge that is overshadowed by the threats to their lives.
Katherine Taylor aka Kitten is a survivor of domestic abuse at the hands of her father, and a cruel Dom. Years in therapy, our heroine struggles with her place in the world of BDSM, a place she is hoping to find beside Mason and Cole but all is not well in Cole’s less than well ordered world, a world that is about to come crashing down with the return of Mason Scott, and all of the issues of trust that have yet to be abated.
The relationship between Mason and Cole is one of second chances; a relationship destroyed by secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, and the death of their mutual submissive that Cole blamed upon the man that he loved. Mason is quick to find peace and happiness with Kitten but Kitten struggles in her relationship with Cole believing she is not worthy based on Cole’s actions and less than Dominant treatment of our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several of the previous story line couples and players: Master Julian, Kitten’s cousin Finn, Nate, Nat, Chase, Darin, Callie, Gemma, Zane, Jesse, Cade; Cole’s housekeeper Ms.Hamilton, and his PA Lea Schneider.
SIREN REBORN is a story of betrayal and lies; revenge and recovery; forgiveness and love. The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is heavy and hot; the characters are broken, healing, energetic and strong.
Siren Reborn by Lexi Blake/ Sophie Oak is book 8 in the Texas Sirens Series. This is the story of Kitten Taylor, Cole Roberts and Mason Scott. I have read the previous books which added to my enjoyment of this one but I do feel you can make it a standalone book. Cole and Mason where once young and in love but something tragic happened to break them up. Now they both are struggling to move forward not doing very good away from each other. Kitten has a upsetting past to and finds herself being the person that starts to bring Cole and Mason back together along with finding her place with them. Of course there is some drama and some very hot scene.
Lexi Blake writes books that make you want to read in one sitting and that is what I did today! Not much housework got done. I got lost in Siren Reborn!
Siren Reborn is the 8th book in the Texas Sirens Series and is Cole Roberts, Mason Scott & Katherine “Kitten” Taylor’s story.
Kitten as she is called now is a submissive probably due to a tragic past. Cole is a Dominant and Mason is a switch. Cole and Mason were previous lovers and in a relationship until an accident tore them apart. How will they all get together? I will leave that up to the reader to find out.
Kitten’s cousin Finn helps her find herself again by bringing her to his BDSM club. I will let you read the rest of the story. BTW Finn’s story was Book 3 Siren Enslaved.
I love this book and the series. It is told in a super sexy way that Sophie Oak aka Lexi Blake writes! I think I might have to find a therapist for when this series and Nights of Bliss concludes. I am a bit addicted to them.
I loved Kitten’s story. Cole and Mason had history together not all of it good. I did love their characters. They had chemistry that burned thru the book. The twist took me completely by surprise. I never saw that coming. In the end, I loved that Cole, Mason, and Kitten were so happy together. Oh and never hurts to give us some Bliss too!
There are times when an author conveys so much emotion, compassion and love in her characters that really just blows me away. This is one of those times.
I’ll admit that I felt a bit disconnected in the beginning. I have not read the previous books in the series so I felt like I was missing out on Kitten’s true character because of it. That slowly began to change.
The people in Kitten’s life started to show me what her past was like and allowed me to build that connection I need in a main character. I’m always about the hero but this is one time where I was all about the heroine. I still liked the hero’s in this story but Kitten clearly stole the show.
After such a traumatic past, the genuine joy and love she gave others was so refreshing. She missed out on being loved and never wanted anyone else to experience that lack of love that she gave it so freely to everyone. What an incredible heroine.
Cole and Mason were almost another story within a story. They had a past that was also very beautiful which made their breakup such a tragedy. It took Mason coming back into Cole’s life through Kitten to see that special bond they had. They were almost a perfect couple just as themselves but having Kitten as part of their lives really elevated their love for each other.
Menage stories rarely move me, only because I find most of them too focused on the sex and not on the actual relationship. This is not the case with these three. You will find a true love story with Cole, Mason and Kitten. Great book!
5 Star Review Siren Reborn (Texas Sirens #8) by Sophie Oak
I love Ms.Oak (Lexi Blake’s) style of writing; to me these characters are like coming home to family and friends and this book gave me so many feels. I was riveted from start to finish, Sirens Reborn was one of those reads I could not put down.
There were times when I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry reading Siren Reborn. This is Katherine (Kitten) Taylor, Cole Roberts and Mason Scott’s story and I have been looking forward to reading it.
Kitten has had a horrific past and as she struggles to get her life back on track, she is searching for a Master and a family to love her. After an accident tore Cole and Mason’s relationship apart, they were left alone and angry.
When Cole takes Kitten in, they both know that something is missing in their relationship but Cole is a Master and he will give Kitten what he can. When Mason returns, could he be what has been missing? Can the three of them merge and become the relationship that they all yearn for? When danger rears it head and a killer goes after them, Cole and Mason will need to work together and overcome the pain of the past to protect Kitten.
Kitten has had to overcome so much after her kidnapping and torture and I have a soft spot for her and wanted her to get her hearts desire. Cole and Mason, to me were the right choice for this woman who has survived so much. She survived such horror and if any one of Sophie Oak’s characters deserved a chance at happiness, it was Kitten.
This was an emotional read, hot at times, witty and tears were shed as Kitten finally got a chance to live the life she so richly deserved. However, for this to happen, Cole and Mason will have to face their own complicated past and make peace.
As always it was great to see a few familiar faces show up in the story, that always makes me smile and adds another layer to these books.
One of the most emotional Siren books to date!
Katherine “Kitten” Thomas finally has her voice but will it be heard with her new Dom Cole Roberts? And what happens when Cole’s blast from the past makes his way back into his life bringing everyone closer than ever together…
This story is EVERYTHING and more! My heart aches for every one of the characters, even more so for the males in this book. Even though I longed for Kitten to have her HEA, I melted for Mason and Cole. Those two together… the connection … is just beyond words. Lexi did a damn fine job with this book!
Kitten is a submissive and was kidnapped and raped. She lived with Julian and he would find her Doms because she loves pain. Now she has entered into a six month contract with Cole. Cole has always been in a D/s relationship but he usually has a man sub too. Mason is a lawyer and he and Cole had been together for years until an accident happened and Cole kicked Mason out of his life. Several years has passed since the accident and Mason has came back in to Cole life. Mason is a switch and he plans to ruin Cole until Kitten brings them all together. Will they forgive each other and move on with Kitten?
I love Lexi’s books but this one had me laughing, hot, and sad. BDSM, spanking, M/M, M/F/M, and M/F. Three people who only want to be loved. I believe this is my favorite. Cole and Mason are sexy and Kitten is finding herself again.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for the author *
I am a HUGE Lexi Blake fan, and I have been waiting forever for Kitten’s story. Kitten was an innocent girl who was captured, tortured, raped, by a horrible man who abducted women and then sold them. It’s taken many years of therapy just to get Kitten to even have her talk about herself in the first person. She was assigned Cole as her Master to take care of her and train her. As Cole is just too careful with her, things are not going well. Then Mason enters her life. Cole’s best friend and boyfriend for many years , until an accident changed all that and they have been apart for years. Kitten turns out to be the glue to put the three of them together. You are going to laugh your ass off as Kitten has no filters about talking about anything, and doing anything! I LOVED this story!
I probably say this with every book Lexi writes, but Siren Reborn could be one of my favorites in the Texas Siren series.
Kitten has been a favorite character of mine for several books now because not only is she finally getting her story with the perfect men, but the story about Kitten is all about finding the independent woman inside after the tragedy she has lived through. Facing your self-worth after living through the worst possible conditions you can imagine is an inner strength not many of us have. To not only having your physical body broken down, but your emotional worth shattered and yet come out with the light and innocence that Kitten does is a beautiful thing. It is probably what I love most about Kitten is that she is full of love and grace and she hasn’t let anyone take that from her even in the face of adversity. This world could use more people like her.
In Siren Reborn Cole and Mason have been lovers before, but are currently apart due to a falling out. Kitten is the glue/connection that brings them back together and the person that has any hope of keeping them together for a future. None of them work without the other as they each have their own strength to offer each other as a triad. This is what makes this story so special and Kitten herself such a special character. Her openness and willing to display her feelings really help in Cole and Mason’s healing process.
Like most of Lexi’s stories, this one also has suspense and someone out to cause foul play. While the characters try to figure out their relationship someone is ultimately trying to tear it apart. At the end will everything work out? If Kitten has her way it will.
I’ve been a big Lexi Blake fan since she was Sophie Oak. The Siren series originated back in the Sophie Oak days. I loved this book back then and I love it now! The three main characters, Kitten, Mason and Cole, all have their flaws and weaknesses but their strength and love come to the forefront to make this story super enjoyable. I like when Master Julian Lodge gets involved in the story. His personality and alphaness just jumps off the page and makes me want to say “Yes Master.” I enjoyed getting to revisit with other old friends from both the Siren and Bliss series. I hope Lexi Blake keeps writing both series. I know I’ll never get tired of them and I doubt her other readers will either.
Finally, Kitten is ready!!!!
Kitten is a tragic figure, she has been around forever, and we have bits and pieces of her story, but it turns out it is more tragic then we could have ever thought. I tear up just thinking about what her life has been up to this point, how much suffering she has endured. Her coping mechanisms have been long established, and are so ingrained, she isn’t even aware of them. Even those closest to her see some of them, but not all of them. What she isn’t though is a victim, and she is strong willed and ever optimistic. She is a sensual being, but she falters at making herself heard. Watching her make herself into a person she feels comfortable with, she is at ease with, and she is happy with, made my heart swell with joy. Of course, that path is helped along with Cole and Mason, because everyone should have realized sweet Kitten is too much for one man to handle
Cole and Mason have found joy and pleasure with each since their teen years. But one tragic moment plunged them both into pain, doubt, and unhappiness, and ripped the seams of their life together to shreds. Apart for the past two years, they are brought back together by Kitten. Even with their unease with each other, they quickly realize they both will do anything for Kitten. That is all she needs, but there are bigger, larger, and wicked forces at play, and they have been interfering for longer than the three of them could imagine. As this trio is tested with danger and things trying to manipulate them apart, it only cements the bonds between them, the love that they share. Where Cole and Mason help Kitten find herself, Kitten smooths the bumpiness that Cole and Mason need to get through to find their peace with each other.
Kitten is finally ready for her happily ever after, and she has finally found her footing, so Cole and Mason don’t stand a chance. Lucky for her, they both will do anything to keep her happy, and if that includes loving her forever, then so be it!
Lexi Blake created a love so powerful, palpable and undeniable between Mason and Cole that it almost sets the pages on fire. Years of hurt and betrayal between the two of them are washed away by a mere slip of a woman who, by all accounts, should be damaged beyond repair by the hand that life has dealt her. Kitten Taylor has become one of the most endearing characters in the Texas Sirens series. She’s quirky and unbelievably naive and vulnerable at times and yet there’s an underlying core of steel within her. She’s whip smart, observant and caring. What she needs is just to be loved. Mason and Cole have the ability to do that but only by letting go of the past.
