Jade
I gave my heart away when I was too young to know better.
The idealized version of the man I love is forever burned into my memory. I joined the military to deal with the rejection. He’s moved on without me, and I can’t imagine that anyone else will ever compare.
So, I serial date. I’m not sure if I’m expecting to find someone like him or trying to forget him. Either way—it isn’t working.… forget him. Either way—it isn’t working.
After all, I just want to be taken seriously. He never even considered that my feelings could be real. I’m smart enough and old enough now! But instead of finding someone new, the excessive dating has made me a target for the men on the base. I’m considered a conquest.
A chance meeting at the bar has me rethinking my “frigid” reputation. For the first time, I encounter someone who not only makes me feel alive—but impassioned. He’s mysterious and sexy, and my body tingles with awareness, excitement … and lust.
For the first time, I’m considering giving someone—who may be gone tomorrow—my “V” card.
Desin
I’ve never had my affection reciprocated.
My love is forbidden in our society. Something that I only shared with my closest friend due to the taboo nature of my feelings. It wasn’t meant to be for so many reasons—including the fact that she didn’t return my devotion.
All I want is someone to care about me and only me. I know I can’t have what all Sinth dream of—a family. It’s simply not a possibility in our society, and I like to think I’ve come to terms with that.
I meet Jade while my squad is searching for our missing team member, Mavin. But then we’re split up because a potentially devastating virus shows up on Earth. It becomes more important than ever to figure out how to protect the humans—especially as I realize that what I felt before was a pale imitation of what lust and attraction truly are. Saving her life in a warehouse “accident”, I give her not only a second chance at life—but myself, as well.
But for how long? As we continue to look for the source, will the Wen virus keep spreading and decimate the entire planet?

It begins at The Pit…
—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars – Good introduction into this author’s multi-layered world of human military, unknowingly working with alien species, specifically the Sinth, who make a startling discovery in book 1 (Sinth Seeker), and this first couple’s story (Teresa and Payak) is continued parallel to Jade and Desin’s in this second installment. Jade has managed to elude all intimate interactions with males until she spies a male who refuses to back down in his eagerness to know her. Both make meaningful discoveries which may rock their world as well as others, and it is a fast-paced read filled with action and a bit of suspense set in a creatively constructed world.
Fated mates and mysteries to be revealed!
by sewsummore
Jade was still a virgin because she could never felt a connection with any man like the connection she had with fellow foster brother Charles. Then she met Destin, the attraction between them was immediate and intense. While Jade was a human female, Destin was a member of an alien race known as Sinth. He was a Guardian sent to Earth to investigate the disappearance of another Sinth Guardian on Earth and at the same time, to investigate and help control a Wen outbreak. Destin was sure that Jade was his fated mate because she was able to see him when phased, as only mates were able to do. It did not take Jade long to accept him as her mate, but their troubles were only just beginning. I found this book difficult to follow since it was the first book in this series that I have read. I would recommend read book one before reading this book for better understanding and clarity. Jade and Destin, proved that they were true mates and their connection to each other only strengthened as time passed. There was a hint of mystery and deception woven into this story that kept me guessing, leaving me eager to read the next book in the series.

Jade works at the secret military facility in the Yosemite National Forest. Desin is a Sinth warrior that is there trying to find out about an outbreak. He knows that Jade is his mate because she can see him when he is in his veiled space. They have to overcome several obstacles before they get to their HEA. But it’s an interesting and fun read

The whole idea of personal dimensions makes my head spin, but it’s certainly a convenient way to get out of Dodge in a hurry.
Once Desin lays eyes on Jade, he’s hooked, and his appearance in the Ladies Room both shocks and thrills her. And when he saves her life, well, she’s a goner. This tale is a winding one, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter to see what is actually going on.
Change join the military in order to avoid rejection. When she first as she fell in love she was too young and so therefore got burned pretty badly. So as a result relationships don’t stick. Desin is an alien who gets rejected a lot on his own spectrum. He gives a lot of love or a lot of attention and affection but it’s not reciprocated the way he wants it. Sometimes he’s being used. But he’s learned to just keep moving on and keep trying. They are about to put in the situation where they have to figure out how to figure out an antidote or cure for this virus and avoid other negative interactions you know like people or other aliens trying to kill them. This is A strange action pack type of a story. It’s just a different part of the atmosphere or proper planet location that they’re in. But other than that it was a very good story the characters were developed. Their interactions were funny and steamy. Once they realize faded made to know that other happy stuff that we love.

Intriguing 4 ½ stars – Desin’s story is as intriguing as Payak’s. It is also illuminating a lot about the new world. I like that Jade is brave, confident and is not afraid to acknowledge her feelings for Desin. The book sure is steamy! I do wish I know more about Mavis and how he met his mate. Book 2 in this already brilliant series. It’s a standalone but I’d read book 1 first as it’s that great of a series. Amazing world and character building with some sizzling chemistry between the main characters.

I so enjoyed this story very much. There lots going on with the plot that it will keep you glued to the story till the last page. Jade is responsible for purchasing, inventory and the food service for the Military base hidden in Yosemite National Forest. Jade sees a man at a night club that finally makes her feel alive. Desin is also in a hurry to meet her and pushes in the restroom right behind her. Desin is a clone from his family line and “love” isn’t allowed. He wants a family and he wants Jade. Will they get their chance at happiness? What about the boxes in the warehouse and the virus that’s destroying Earth? Read the story and find out what happens. This book 2 in the Sinth Strain Series is an exceptionally written story with Well-crafted characters with strength and depth. These characters have chemistry and learn to trust and love each other. This series is really out of this world with adventure, twists/turns, romance, fated mates and love. This is a must read book and series. I cannot wait for more books from this Author

he second book in the A Sci-Fi Alien Romance: Sinth Strain series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Jade and Desin’s story, I think my favorite moment is when he comes into the women’s washrom to introduce himself, nothing happens then. As the Food Service Manager on base, Jade is responsible for the purchasing, inventory, and preparation schedule for the military facility hidden in the middle of Yosemite National Forest. The forklift operator set down a box of something Jade didn’t recognize, so she takes a picture to send to her boss and let him decide what to do with it. “Additive number TA-14” is stamped at the top of the manifest and the shipping information section only says “Ta’inke.” No address, no contact – very unusual. Curious, she checked for the FDA-approved nutrients in this item. It was “100% refined aluminum powder” even though her boss called it a dietary supplement! People shouldn’t be eating aluminum! Aside from causing other issues, it can bring on Alzheimer’s.
In an unexpected meeting at a nightclub, Jade sees a man who makes her feel alive both physically and mentally. She doesn’t expect such an intense awareness of this new arrival. She may even consider a relationship with Desin. Eager to meet her, he had pushed into the tiny bathroom right behind her. She laughed when he realized where he was but reached to shake the hand he had originally held out to her. A profound shock went up her arm!
Desin’s people, actually clones of their family line, are different than humans. For one thing, “love” isn’t allowed. But he truly wants a family. He meets Jade during the search for a missing team member, then they get split up when a potentially devastating virus appears on Earth. Saving her life after a warehouse accident may provide a chance for both of them to find a new future together. But they need to track down the source of the virus before it gets completely out of control and destroys Earth. Will they survive? Will they end up as mates?
This is an interesting and emotional sci-fi romance.. It is quite different from other books from this author, but seems to have possibilities.. A unique and fascinating new series..

The writing and editing of this novel was super clean, with no typos that I caught in the ARC version of the manuscript! The world building was minimal, as it was set in contemporary America. The characterization was competent, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was natural and organic, considering the compressed timeline in this novel. The plot and pacing was exciting, with me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There was low angst in this novel and high stakes. This novel uses the Fated Mates trope and the Mars Needs Women trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were three stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship was three stars. The super clean writing and editing of this novel rated five stars. Therefore, the combined score of this novel was four stars. This novel had a Happy For Now ending, with overarching plot threads for the series left unresolved. I recommend this story to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

This is a good sequel to the first 2 stories Synth Saviour, and Synth seeker. It is about aliens finding their mates in earth women. There is a back story of trying to save earth from a deadly virus that turns beings of all types into flesh eating zombies. This is not really standalone except for Synth Saviour the prequel to the series. After that you will be lost when it comes to the back stories. So you have to read the series in order. I have eagerly awaited this story and can not wait for the next one. The prequel is free so it is easy to see if you like the series.

Ah! The plot thickens. I do wounder if Lana did have anything to do with the problems that have come up or not. Very good story. I have enjoyed it very much.
I have to say I listened to this story from the very beginning to the very end and I really enjoyed it. I thought the storyline and character built up was very well done and enjoyable in my opinion. I received this book for free thru an Advanced Review Copy, ARC with an honest review freely given.
I started reading the eBook and then received the audio version in exchange for a review. The story is great! The characters and the world the author built are wonderful. It is easy to like and become invested in the characters and the experiences they go through. The struggle they all face with the Wen virus is captivating. The audio version is lacking. Please don’t give up on the story if you choose the audio version because you will miss out on a great series. The female narrator, Pearl Tate, does a good job. She relates emotion through her voice. It is believable. The male narrator, Rodney Steele, doesn’t do the story justice. He tries to add some inflection to his voice, but it still sounds as if he is reading it. It just doesn’t flow. After starting the series with the 1st book, I got the entire series in a bundle and it is actually read in chronological order instead of by book by book. I am really loving this version. All the characters from all the books blended together. It is amazing how they all intertwine.
This book is good but I don’t think it’s a stand alone. It’s the second in the series and builds on the first.
The narration is well done just like in the first.
