Jen
My best friend was abducted by aliens!
I’d be so pissed if that happened to me. I’ve spent almost nine years working ten to twelve hour days to establish a business, pushing vacations and future plans to … someday. I’ve yet to really live and being abducted and almost dying isn’t on my bucket list.
Amy’s returned with a “mate”, telling me he’s immune to all illnesses—and now she is too. … with a “mate”, telling me he’s immune to all illnesses—and now she is too. She demonstrated her new disappearing act, swearing she’s “phasing” into another dimension and saying every time she does, her body resets to perfect health. I’m super jealous since I’ve lost so many loved ones to cancer, starting with my father when I was only a child.
I want someone that can’t get sick. Someone who can take care of me for a change. I’m exhausted from the daily grind.
When Mavin’s partner Trus shows up, Amy’s sure we’re mating compatible, but the timing couldn’t be worse. There’s a new virus everyone’s talking about, and people panic as businesses shut down. Only my business explodes, and my training efforts to lighten my load are not panning out.
But I’m done waiting for the stars to align to enjoy my own happiness! I’ll create my own future—now.
Trus
My best friend found a mate in a food pen!
All my life I’ve held my breath and hoped I’d see my friends again. As a Sinth Guardian, it’s not unusual for someone to enter their dimension and never return. We get worn down, giving up on life due to loneliness.
In an effort to make sure Mavin doesn’t disappear forever, I back him up, accepting the same punishment on a backwater planet called Teleplay. The alien planet is being mined for its resources and not habitable for many species. You can imagine our surprise to see Earth humans in the food holding pens.
When I confirm that Mavin has stolen the female Earth species from the pen and mated with her, I’m shocked—and excited! A mate means company and a potential family.
Gathering information about who’s responsible for the Earth species arrival on Teleplay, I work with the Sinth Sovereignty, Taxin and Ashen alien species to get to the bottom of the Human’s abduction. Trailing suspects and spying from my dimension, I know that finding my own mate shouldn’t be a high priority. But when I meet someone who’s mating compatible, how can I not want to get to know her?
But those distractions can be deadly. New technology I’ve never seen before threatens the future for everyone, and now I have more to lose than ever before.

Third book in the Sinth Series!
by sewsummore
This book is the third book in the “Sinth Strain” series. Trus and Marvin are Guardians carrying out a routine inspection when they discover four humans that had been abducted and sold for food. One of the humans, a female, called Amy, is Marvin’s mate. Trus was surprised to discover that Amy’s best friend on Earth proved to be his mate, but meeting her for the first time at her husband’s funeral was unfortunate. This book was a romance, but there was an element of mystery and danger involved in this story as well.
I look forward to reading books in this series, as the complex story behind the human’s abduction is revealed.

Interesting plot 4 stars – There’s a lot of things happening here. It is half romance and half mystery but sometimes the plot developments overshadowed the romance. It still has the steamy relationship between the mates Trus and Jen. I like Jen’s character but I feel like the involvement of Paul and the rest of his family was not resolved completely. The plot is very interesting. It’s hard to tell how widespread the Wen virus is. Who is really responsible for selling the humans for food? So many questions that I hope will be answered in the next book. This is an HEA for Jen and Trus. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
This is the continuing story and I highly recommend you read them all in order of the Sinth Guardians. We are introduced to new characters and the overarching mystery continues to unfold. We learn a lot more in this story but I don’t think you will get the same impact if you don’t read the previous stories. I did read them and this is an excellent continuation.
In this story the world building continues and while the characters are different, the situation becomes more complex. A very fast paced read. I am totally enjoying the series and highly recommend it.
Another great read by this author I can honestly say it did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and engaging the chemistry is undeniable throughout the pages. The storyline had substance and flowed easily.

Jen is trying to cope with her husband’s illness and her friend’s disappearance as well as continuing to run their business. As the end comes near for Ken, she begins to fall apart, and at Ken’s funeral, she starts seeing what she thinks are ghosts. Trus is no ghost, and even though she loved Ken deeply, after his death, Trus claims her. Then chaos ensues.
This series is a little hard to follow unless you start from the beginning. It’s a complicated story that deserves to be read carefully picking up all the clues along the way! We get to know more about the Ashen and other races, and it’s all good!
I enjoyed reading this book , it has a good storyline. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Jen and Trus is great, this book is entertaining and action packed. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Although this can be read as a standalone novel, I strongly suggest reading this series from the very beginning, it’s a brilliant series and you really do not want to miss anything! The author has done a great job with world and character building. Lots going on and held my attention cover to cover.

The writing and editing of this novel was pretty clean, with only two or three typos that I caught in the ARC version of the manuscript. The world building is competent, though not exceptional. The characterization is competent, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship is fairly organic, though there was not really any conflict keeping these two apart, beyond the fact that the heroine’s husband had just passed away. The plot and pacing was exciting, with me quickly turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. There was pretty low angst and high stakes in this story, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Fated Mates and the Mars Needs Women trope. It also used a variation of the Alien Invasion trope. The world building was three stars. The plot and pacing was four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship was three stars. Therefore the combined score is three and a half stars. This novel has a Happy For Now ending instead of a cliffhanger, which is a big plus to this whole series. I recommend this novel to readers who want a fun low angst sci-fi romance to while away an afternoon. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel, though I did enjoy it quite a bit.

The stories keep going in a straight line with small forks along the way. The forks are the individual couples. The whole plot is starting to come together. The further you go the more danger is in store. A lot going on and pulling information from different leads. An excellent series. I would like to cheat and read the ending.(O! Not going to happen.) The plot is coming together faster and faster.
I always await eagerly for these to come out, I definitely recommend them. You do have to read them in order because there are always questions left open not just about the main arc but also about the couples. I would have rated this higher but the author did something I hate. An author builds a universe adding facts and data as they go. This builds the foundations of the stories but then an author will ignore all that and put something in that breaks the laws of that universe that she has written. So good story but I hate when they deviate from what they have already written.
