Teresa
The last thing I need is a hot, drool-worthy one night stand!
I just managed to break up with the loser I should have dumped ages ago, so I already know I’m not the best at saying no or ending things. But it’s time for me to plan for my future.
As the Housing Coordinator on base, I’m sent to settle in new arrivals. During a routine walk through, I run into a man who’s easily the best … easily the best looking I’ve ever seen. With dark hair and light piercing eyes, he catches me off-guard when he continues to relentlessly pursue me—despite my denial of interest in him.
I’m ready to think about life after the military, so I want someone who can be around for the long haul. Definitely not another workaholic, and I know he will be reassigned and gone at any moment.
For all I know–probably back to a wife and kids! I can’t let my heart get involved.
Payak
When your friends are all you have, every one counts.
So, when one of my squad disappears, I make sure I’m first in line to follow up on the planet where he was last seen. Mavin’s like a brother to me, and after his last punishment by the Sinth Sovereignty, he needs to know we all care—so he doesn’t disappear forever.
What I don’t expect to find, is an Earth female so alluring, it appears she can see right into my dimension. She can see me!
Unfortunately, we’re called in for testing and notified that the Wen virus has appeared on Earth. Now, we’ve been split up and assigned to help find the source while trying to stop the disease from spreading across the globe.
It’s more important than ever to find out if humans could be mating compatible, since phasing into our dimension means there’s a chance for the human species if we fail to stop the contagion.
Will Teresa let me close enough to test our compatibility? What will it mean for the future of Earth if I fail?

The Sinth are another species that has dealings with the Ashen (from The Quasar Lineage) and they are here for two reasons. First, the Wen are a species that exudes a toxic chemical when they breathe that is extremely dangerous and their virus has made it to earth. Secondly, one of their friends is missing and Payak is leading a team to try an find him at the same time. They are given military housing while they are there and it is Teresa’s job to get them settled and handle everything they may need for there quarters. Instant intense feelings surge when they meet. One of the Sinth’s abilities is to slip into their own personal dimension and no one can see them or invade that space, except for their mate. Since the Sinth’s race is on the verge of fading out, they don’t have any experience with the mate bond, however, Teresa can see Payak when he phases out into his. There is a lot to learn about the post and the troops manning it. Most of which are aliens undercover. The one part I hated was Teresa learns to tap into Payak’s ability to phase and disregards his warning putting him and his career in jeopardy. She was irresponsible and thoughtless, even though it was for family. After taking off for a few days, she comes back and just says I’m sorry and everything is ok. The decision to risk everything was not hers to make. I liked her a lot up until that moment. She had questionable judgement considering what she allowed her bff to talk her into doing. I liked the story and the premise, just not Teresa. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
The narrator is really good and brings the characters out and makes the story that much better
Sinth Seeker is book 1 in the Sinth Strain series by Pearl Tate. It picks up where the prequel book, Sinth Saviour, left off. The series revolves around an alien species known as the Sinth that can shift into different dimensions. In their history, they had mates, but it was so long ago they don’t know the signs.
In the prequel, the Sinth Mavin, seems to have found a mate in a human. He is now missing and his team members have no idea what happened to him. They have been called to Earth because of an outbreak of the Wen virus, and are also looking for Mavin. The Wen are an alien species we learned about in the prequel, which exude a chemical that makes anything that breathes it basically act like zombies. Because of the Sinth ability to shift into different dimensions, they are not affected so are perfect for searching out and trying to contain the Wen virus.
Payak is the Sinth in charge of the containment team, and meets the human military officer Teresa when getting housing on the base. Teresa can see Payak when he is phased, so he thinks she may be his mate. Humans are unaware of alien life which causes some interesting interactions in the books. As Payak and Teresa work through their feelings for each other, Payak and his team work on trying to determine the cause of the virus and also attempt to contain it.
Be warned, this book has a high heat level. It was a hot, fun, and exciting read. I also listened to the audiot book. It had different narrators for the male and female leads, and was pretty good. The female narrator was great, but the male narrator was choppy and repeated sentences in some places. I recommend reading/listening to Sinth Seeker, and look forward to reading the next book in the series. I’ve come to love Pearl Tate’s books and this is a good addition to her universe.
I received a audio review copy and am reviewing my own thoughts freely.
I quite enjoyed it. I just wish it continued but it has sequels so I’ll have to look at those.
The audio book was narrated well. It has 2 narrators a male and female.
I would recommend this book. It felt fresh. I haven’t read a story with this premise or aliens like these before.
This was a good story! The Sinth have come to Earth looking for a companion who came with his mate. Somehow the Wen virus has gotten loose on Earth and is creating havoc. The leader of the party has found his mate and she is making his life interesting. She comes to find out that some of the people she works with are in fact aliens and it freaks her out a bit. I really enjoyed that the author did the female lead for the narration. She did a good job. Also the narrator for the male part was good. I enjoyed the entire performance.
I received a free copy of this audio book from Story Origin for an honest review.
This is book 1 in Tate’s Sinth Strain series and I really enjoyed the story line. I have to say that the narration of the audio copy I got was difficult at times to listen to. Dual narration which I often enjoy but in this case the male narrator was so choppy and there were long pauses that made it difficult to follow as smoothly as it should. The female narrator I think did a really well job. The story line was well written with good flow and kept my interest throughout. I really enjoyed how these main characters met and I like the ending – makes me want to know more about not only what’s going on around them but about their specific relationship too. Theresa is a strong but sensitive character who seems to struggle with her own worth when it comes to men and relationships and well Payak is an alien so he has a bit of grace in my book for not being as smooth as he could be trying to finagle the customs of our planet. Overall – I’m looking forward to more from Tate on this series!

Awesome Story!! Loved listening to this book! The plot line is intriguing. The story line is filled with a budding mystery and lots of suspense. Especially loved the reveal that all was not as it seemed on the military base “tucked away” in Yosemite. Please note that the discovery of human mates for the Sinth is monumental for them—so the romance is intense. The author does an excellent job in narrating the female part—the male narrator’s cadence had too many hesitations—as if he lost his place while reading the book. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I loved this audiobook!
The interaction between the characters is wonderful and by now I definitely have a new favorite female narrator…
They did read the story in such a nice way that pulled me in so that I heard it in one go! Their voices where so very fitting for Payak and Teresa that they nearly brought me to think I was looking a movie! I definitely recommend this audiobook to everyone who likes good fantasy romance with the right amount of heat, romance, suspense and slimy aliens…
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters are unique. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more with feelings, desires, passion and lust, erotic sweetness, sensational pleasures and heat from arousal.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Teresa and Payak are a fun couple with plenty of chemistry which Teresa is trying to denia the connection. What ensues is a great read. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

If you haven’t read the prequel yet, stop right now and read it. I’ll wait.
Teresa is an officer on a military base in charge of housing. She’s tasked with making sure the VIPs are comfortable and have everything they need for their mission. Payak is on Earth to find a missing officer and is drawn into trying to stop the Wen epidemic. When he meets Teresa, he is drawn to her and begins to think she is his mate. Trying to stay on mission and court Teresa pulls him in different directions, and Teresa is having the same issue. Their story is fun and tense and dangerous and confusing all at the same time! Now, go read that prequel first!
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well rounded that I remained glued to my kindle until the very end!
Teresa is over housing on their out of the way base. She’s getting over a recent break up and not interested in another relationship. Payak and his team of Sinths are moving into housing. They are just one type of alien that are on this secret military base. When he meets Teresa he knows that she is special because she sees him when he fades into his dimension. Only a mate can do that. Teresa and Payak work through their feelings as hie and his team work through their problems with the outbreak that is happening on earth. Fun and exciting adventure

Book one in the Sinth Strain series a well written short story with a very good storyline. I want to read the next book. This is Teresa Bradfeld the Housing Coordinator on a military base and Payak has come to Earth looking for a squad companion. His people are able to Phase where they want to be. I want to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The alien Payak from the planet Sinth is here with his men to look for his missing team mate who had disappeared from Earth. He discovers a viral outbreak that turns people into zombies. Teresa is the Housing Coordinator whose job is to settle in new arrivals on the base. As she wanders the base, she meets a man who catches her attention immediately, even though she recently had a bad breakup and is not looking for a replacement. But Payak feels that Teresa is his mate, and she can feel a strong pull to him as well. Is he prepared to save her from the virus? Will he convince her to become his, despite her fears?
This wasn’t one of the most exciting books, perhaps because we’re living some of it in real life, but it wasn’t bad. I expect it will get better as it goes into the next book. Grab your copy and see if Payak will win his mate’s love, and if he will find his missing team member!
3 1/2* I read the prelude and enjoyed it so I was eager to do a review for Sinth Seeker. I’m happy I did. First I suggest you read Sinth Saviour because it will fill in some of the background. So far it has been free so it’s worth a try. I enjoyed the story. It sort of takes off from the previous book but with different main characters. The H is from an alien race who helps patrol the galaxy. In the prelude we discover that earth has been exposed to a deadly virus that the Sinth try to minimize and stop the spread of. After discovering this fact the H of the first book goes to earth with his human mate. The second story starts from there. A group of Sinth go to earth to try to find the missing H from the first book. There the leader discovers that a human may be able to fully mate with him which has not happened in a very long time. The Sinth species is actually in decline due to the shortage of possible mates. So this discovery has great significance. While the Sinth are there some areas are hit by the virus. The Sinth team is responsible for monitoring the situation and controlling the infected along with some other alien species which have an outpost on earth. They have to control them because the infected deteriorate to the point where they mindlessly attack humans and animals going to the point where they try to eat them and the bite spreads the disease. So far the story is very good. But then comes the part I down rated for. The book just kind of ends. It is almost a cliffhanger. The H and h are together in the end but some of their issues are unresolved. The h does something that she should not have and disappears. When they come together they do not even talk about it, the H just tells her it is okay and it drops there without following up on the consequences of what she.has done. Then there is a peripheral character who becomes important that it left open before the point that you think it should be. I’m sure the author will follow up in the next book but I wish the author had gone a little further in that story. The author left a note on the arc mentioning that it was still being finished so I left a message asking if she was going to add to the ending. I never received an answer so could only rate the book by what information I had. I am reviewing a rough copy and the author has probably made changes. So I definitely recommend this book. Even if the author has not made changes it is more than worth reading.
