Lana Madison is a twenty-three-year-old, unconventional private investigator, who is searching for the men who abducted her identical twin. Lana and Dania are complete opposites, but their bond from birth allows them to share emotions. These brief moments of connection prove to Lana that her twin is still very much alive. Lana suffers flashbacks of past events, which she believes are her sister’s … sister’s memories, and realizes there are gaps in her own timeline from the day of her sister’s disappearance. She has given up on believing that the police will ever find Dania and is determined to find her sister on her own. But as she gets closer to finding her twin, the barriers that protect Lana’s façade steadily melt away, and now her own life—as well as her sanity—is on the line…

Sins of the Sister – Wow, I really enjoyed this book, it so much more than a missing person story, definitely a mystery with some twist. The characters were fleshed out and interesting, with a great story line. This story read itself. I was absolutely connected and attached to every part it.
I was given a ARC by the author for a honest review. Thank you Zari Reede, another winner.
This is an intriguing tale of kidnapping, human trafficking and murder, all happening in the Austin, Texas area. Lana Madison a student turned Private Eye is desperately trying to find her twin sister abducted a couple of years back. Although she has not heard from her, Lana is dead sure that Dania is still alive and often has dreams that have her live the reality of what Dania must be going through. Although there are several attractive men in her life and she is sexually attracted to them she does not enter into a relationship perhaps because of what happened to her sister. With several layers of abusive men also after her, there are layers and layers of potential miscreants that she has to sort through. The book starts with her in the trunk of a car after being abducted by some of these abusive creeps and comes to an explosive and surprising finish after she has been kidnapped once again and brought to the prime abuser’s dungeon. A well woven, well written tale of a dark facet of our society, but one on which more light needs to be thrown to expose its many faces. Bravo!
Sins of the Sister took me for a ride I didn’t expect, with twists and turns I never saw coming. This thriller kept me intrigued with its dynamic cast of characters and kept me flipping pages well into the night. You can put it down, but this story stays with you long after “The End.”
Sins of the Sisters grabs the reader from the first page. It starts in the midst of an intense scene, where we meet protagonist Lana Madison. From then on, it is a wild ride as Lana searches for twin sister, Dania, who was abducted three years earlier. Lana has changed her entire life’s path to become a professional ass-kicker who will stop at nothing to find her twin.
There are a lot of intense scenes that show Lana doesn’t care about the risk to herself or consequences she may face for actions she takes. There is a vulnerability and determination that makes her a great character and one that is easy to empathize with.
Once you start reading this book, it’s hard to put down. We don’t know what is going to happen and how it’s going to end. Sins of the Sister is a great thriller that will keep you guessing until the end. Zari Reede has put out another stellar read!
