Cindy ‘Sin’ Masters is an award winning tattoo artist and owner of Masters of Ink Tattoo shop. The only thing taking the buzz out of her tattoo gun is receiving yet another anonymous, threatening letter–she thought the first one was a joke, but four letters later it’s just creepy. When she is attacked outside the tattoo parlor, Sin barely escapes the electrifying barb of a taser gun and her … possible stalker.
A friend hires Hunter Shaw, veteran Army Ranger and marine mechanic at the Crows Nest to be her bodyguard. Sin has no desire to be babysat by some stubborn, bossy, cowboy-wannabe, and she will decidedly ignore the fact that he’s entirely too sexy for words. But as the attraction escalates between Sin and the Cowboy who’s got her six, so does the threat against her life.

This is an amazing story that I just loved. I have been in a reading mood of romances for some reason. I have taken a break from my other reading because it was getting to be to much of the same but I have read a few romance books that have really gotten to me and this is one of them. I felt like I was right there in this story waiting to see what happened next and when I thought I had it all figured out I was wrong and started laughing at the end when I found out who the stalker was because I would have never thought it to be that person.
Sin is a tattoo artist who owns her own tattoo shop. She is very successful and enjoys her work. Then one day she gets a threatening letter and she thinks it’s a joke but then she starts to get more and realizes that someone is after her. Her friend is worried about her so she hires a body guard for Sin and she is not to happy about that because she does not need a baby sitter and she definitely does not need this hot arse alpha broody man watching her.
Hunter is no joke and takes his job very seriously. He is determined to keep Sin safe and let nothing happen to her or her shop. But what happens when their chemistry ignites and they can’t fight the feelings they have for one another?
Sin is the owner of Masters of Ink tattoo shop, and also a highly sought out tattooist. When someone decides that they like Sin’s work just a little too much and start to stalk her, at first Sin isn’t too concerned. The moment the stalker upped his game and decided to take a more direct approach is when she started to get worried. When Hunter is brought in as her bodyguard, at first Sin is reluctant to accept his help. When the stalker once again amps up his game, Sin stops fighting Hunter’s help. For Hunter this was more of a punishment, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to take his job seriously. Finding out who is terrorizing Sin and keeping her safe are his priorities. What happens when he starts to look at Sin as something a tad bit more than just a client that needs help? Will the two cross a line that will impact the whole situation?
The twists and turns that you don’t see coming, took this read from ok to really good. There were certain points where it lagged a bit, but then the action kicked in and grabbed your attention. At one point I was more interested in the side characters than I was the main ones, so I can say I am excited to see what comes next in this series. I give this 4 stars.
Cindy / Sin has been receiving threatening letters, and realize her life is in danger. Hunter is a veteran army ranger who is hired to be Cindy’s bodyguard. The chemistry between these two is intense, and the witty banter is humorous. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with twists, danger, suspense, and love. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout, and this is certainly a talented author to look out for in the future. I recommend this novel for all.
The suspense of this story! There are twists that I totally didn’t see coming and was kept on the edge of my chair the entire time. At first I thought the story started pretty abruptly, as the book starts with Sin’s attempted kidnapping by her stalker, but by the end I was totally ok with it because it all made sense. After the attempted kidnapping, Sin’s friend hires Hunter to be a personal bodyguard in order to ensure her safety as the stalker continues to escalate by killing those who get tattoos by Sin. I really loved the characters of Hunter and Sin. Their background and insight as to why they are in the positions they are in help define them and provide understanding to their attraction to one another. The ending threw me because while I thought it was one person, it ended up being totally different and caught me off guard! A truly suspenseful storyline with a touch of romance, I can’t wait for the next installment in this series (hoping it’s Cap and Honey!)!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
My very first read by Natasha Raulerson and holy smokes did I enjoy it. This enemies-to-lovers romance with a lot of animosity and even more steam. The opening of Sins of the Flesh was a bit creepy but definitely grabbed my attention. And the creep factor didn’t dwindle as I read, it only grew…
Sin and Hunter were both very strong willed and hot tempered. Both forced into a situation they don’t want to be in. Both battling the demons of their past that won’t let them go. They were both so brash and standoffish towards each other that it was only a matter of time before all that energy exploded. And did it ever…
But as the threats against Sin keep escalating the back and forth between her and Hunter about drove me out of my mind. His need to protect her, her need to protect her heart warred with both they both wanted.
I had so many theories of whodunit running through my head that I knew, I just knew there was more coming. Sheesh. That ending was totally unexpected. My heart was racing and I was reading as fast as my eyeballs would let me to see what would happen. WOWZA! I did not see that twist coming at all! Talk about unexpected. Hats off to Natasha Raulerson for making Sins of the Flesh dark and twisted and dangerous. Hunter and Sin’s story was as pulse pounding as it was steamy. And I’m looking forward to more of this interesting team of characters in the future.
Sin has earned her place in the tattoo world. She has gotten a few anonymous letters that are starting to creep her out. When she is attacked in the parking lot in the middle of the night her friend hires a bodyguard. Hunter is former military and is working as a mechanic at The Crow’s Nest. Cap, the owner, keeps his guys busy with a variety of side jobs. Hunter and Sin butt heads right from the start. Can he keep her safe long enough to see if they can find peace in each other?
This was my first read by Natasha Raulerson but what a great introduction. This had a great mix of romance and suspense. The author did an amazing job of weaving a mystery. I was right up to point of finding out who was after Sin and still guessing. Loved the banter between Sin and Hunter. Hoping some of the secondary characters get their own stories too.
