Some scars don’t heal. Chris knows this first hand. As a former soldier, he’s seen his share of wars, but the battle over his own guilt is one he can’t defeat. After a mission leaves his buddy injured, Chris blames himself. The only light in his life is April. She’s spring and summer rolled into one, light to his darkness, and he refuses to give into his urges to find his happily ever after–not … after–not until he atones for the sins of his past.
April has loved Chris for years, but the man barely acknowledges her existence. She should move on and find someone else, but it’s not that easy when the source of your infatuation is in your life so much. April tries to ignore him, but when bad things start happening to her, she has no choice but to seek help from him.
Can Chris pull her from danger while fighting his own demons and can April be this sinner’s salvation?
Sinner’s Salvation is part of Samantha A. Cole’s Suspenseful Seduction World.

I loved this book so hard, but it didn’t surprise me. Everything I read from Jessica has taken me for a whirl wind of emotions…and this one was no different.
Chris is living with guilt from his past and doesn’t think he deserves to be happy, but April shows him what it is to be loved. I won’t give too much away because you need to read it for yourself to see how amazing it is… but I promise you will not be disappointed!
For two years, April has wanted to be “more” to Chris Bannerman than just one of the nurses who have been caring for his former teammate the same teammate who is brain damaged due to an order he issued while they were one a mission. Chris has been keeping his distance from the cute nurse because his guilt has made him believe that because his friend can no longer experience the love of his wife and child then Chris should not get a chance at happiness either. When someone begins to target April, Chris decides that despite his previous need to keep his distance, he has to make sure she remains safe. I love that this story includes many of the characters from the Trident Series since Chris Curt Bannerman’s brother and Ian Sawyer and other characters get involved to help as well. This is my first read by Jessica Ames but I can say it won’t be my last.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
A journey through survivor’s guilt and how it can hold a person back. This journey had me pulling for the Hero one minute and wanting to slap the back of his head the next.
The heroine’s job has to be depressing but she remained upbeat and supportive to them and their families.
Great main characters, good flow and just enough mystery to have you going back and forth trying to guess who the bad guy is.
Sinner’s Salvation by Jessica Ames is part of the Suspenseful Seduction Series which uses the world of Samantha A Cole’s Trident Family. The hero is Chris Bannerman, he is Curt Bannerman’s brother and Curt has a new bike shop and is living elsewhere. Chris is a mechanic and a vet that feels guilty that he survived a tragic roadside bombing that left his best friend in persistent vegetative state. Chris visits his friend often and April is a nurse that the facility his friend stays in and she has a crush on her, but she thinks Chris does not feel the same. Chris does start to notice her and when he finds out her life is in danger; he does everything is his power to keep her safe including call his old teammates. This book was so good, and I absolutely love this author. I cannot wait for the next book from this author.
If you thought Curt Bannerman was awesome in Whiskey Tribute, meet his brother Chris – and be bowled over. In another awesome book in the new Suspenseful Seduction world, Jessica Ames has brought Chris Bannerman to life for the reader, with his survivor’s guilt, his refusal to allow himself to be happy, and with the woman that finally brings him light, April. And, when April needs him, he pulls out all the stops, bringing in his teammates and Trident (always a pleasure to see those men!). For me, the characters make a story, even more so than the storyline, and Chris and April are so well written you want to get to know them. Neither is ever one-dimensional; we see struggles, joys, lust, hope, despair – I was genuinely sad when this story was over.
I received a free copy of this book; it is awesome, and my opinions are my own.
Chris and April meet under unusual circumstances. Chris comes to pay penance for what he feels is his sin and April works there. When April starts having weird things happen to her Chris comes forward and tries to help her. Chris and April fall in love in the process of trying to keep her safe from the crazy things that are happening around her, however a very unexpected plot twist that you won’t see coming threatens to tear them apart.
I love Ms. Ames stories and writing! I can’t wait for her next story!
This book will have you hooked from page one until the end and have you guessing who is stalking April. Chris is blaming himself and punishing himself for something that happened in the military and visits his friend and teammate Luke and finds himself over the years wanting April, but he refuses to bring his darkness into her light, but when April has a stalker can he save her?April has been in love with Chris for years but he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Can she bring lightness into his darkness and get through to him? When she is in trouble its Chris to her rescue, but can he save her in time? This book was absolutely fantastic and chris made my heart hurt for him. The only thing I would want is an epilogue at the ending of the book and see what happens in a few months or year.we get to see Brody from the Trident security team.
I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes we blame ourselves for things out of our control. Chris blames himself for the life altering injury to his friend and fellow soldier. He meets a nurse at the care facility his friend is in and doesn’t think he deserves to be happy so he ignores her, or tries to. That is until she is in danger. This book has guilt, attraction, romance, suspense, a stalker, suspects galore, a dog, action and hot sexy scenes. Can it also have forgiveness and a HEA? Dive in and find out. I think this one is a great addition to the Suspenseful Seduction World.
My first book by both this author and in the seduction world series and I LOVED it. Survivors’ guilt leads Chris to live a half-life never allowing himself to be happy or have a relationship because he feels responsible for the injuries which placed his friend in an acute care living facility. Along comes one feisty nurse who sees right to the heart of the problem. Thinking Chris dislikes her she gives him her own style of truth along with enough sass to make Chris take notice. Once Chris finds out her life is in danger he does everything in his power to ensure her safety even if it means calling in his old teammates. Cameo appearances by members of the Trident security team from Samantha A Coles series makes this book a must read.
Chris lives with the guilt of someone on his team being severely injured while on a mission overseas. He does his best to hide it from his friends and family. April has always loved Chris but he doesn’t seem to feel anything for her. Or does he? When things start happening, she has to turn to Chris for help who in turn gets his brother, Curt and a Trident Security team member, Brody onboard. I loved how the author brought Chris’s character to life as we didn’t get a lot of information on him in Whiskey Tribute. The feelings, the emotions this brought out was real and fits right in with Samantha Cole’s Suspenseful Seduction World. Will Chris be able to overcome his feelings of guilt enough to protect April? Well, get the book and find out!
A great addition to the Suspenseful Seduction World!
