He saw her from across a crowded ballpark and knew she was about to change his life.Yes, he realizes just how cliché that really is, but the moment his eyes locked on her, he knew that she was the one.At least, the one that royally screwed him over. The one responsible for his demotion and the subsequent disciplinary action taken against him before he’d even gotten out of the probationary period … probationary period with Kilgore Police Department.
It all started with a kiss.

Saylor Rae Spada tried to mind her business. She also tried to not get involved in petty disputes.
However, from the moment she saw him sitting next to her at a professional baseball game, a game she didn’t even want to be at but was dragged to by her blind date, she couldn’t look away.
Then the kiss cam came on, featuring none other than her and the handsome stranger.
Without missing a beat, he kissed her.
Then her blind date decided to pull a knife and try to stab him.
From that point forward, she’s done nothing but cause him trouble.
Trouble that he’s starting to find increasingly adorable.

Another excellent story by this author!! Her characters are so well developed and the storyline is always intriguing. She writes a gripping story that keeps me on the edge of my seat glued to my Kindle. I really have been looking forward to Lock’s story and it doesn’t disappoint and then throw Saylor into the mix. Saylor is funny and sassy while Lock is and overprotective alpha especially when it comes to her. This story had me laughing out loud and swooning all at the same time. I can’t wait to see with this author has in store for us next!!
These Sinners really are Winners! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Lock sure makes this story! He is funny and everyone on the PD loves the guy. He also can’t shake the kids from his mind… One six months ago on a kiss cam at the ballpark. He sure has a sweet tooth… one that seems to be quenched by our little baker… He just doesn’t know yet they are one in the same.
Saylor is a talented baker and radiology tech… She just can’t seem to find a job in the town where her Best Friend lives and has found some other great friendships. Her entire world is turned around when Lock sees her.
They never want to leave each other… even when it seems the past comes for them both.
Another Fantastic Book!
Sinners are definitely winners when it comes to Lock and Saylor. This story has just the right amount of wit, steam and drama to have you enamored by these two. Like the perfect love story where their eyes meet and an attraction, a possessiveness and a need happen in an instant. As these two bring some of our all time favourites back, your smile will be huge as it takes you back for a trip down memory lane. I laughed, I swooned, I got a little anxious and then I laughed a little more at this romance that brought two of our past families together as one. The icing on the cake with this story is the absolutely outstanding epilogue that gave me even more than I could have hoped for.
Saylor and Lock
Another fantastic story that I devoured by LLVLock meets Saylor for the first time, when she’s at a game with a date. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse and it’s a few months before they meet again.
Great to catch up with some old favourite characters that I knew from past books and also keen to read the next book as I’m hoping it’s about the new KPD police officer
My God, Saylor and Locke are fire!!! From the first moment they meet both of them are attracted and intrigued. Too bad she’s there on the date from hell, that doesn’t stop the kiss on the kiss cam though.
When they finally get together the chemistry is explosive but so is the love. This series is turning out to be my favorite by far. Lani has a way of making you love her worlds and I hope she never stops.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I really loved this book Saylor and Lock really stole my heart. I really loved the way they met and I loved even more the way their relationship grew. They have a story that is freaking hot as all get out, emotional and at times funny. This book was really fun to read and I read it in one sitting. As always the headers at the beginning of each chapter or my favorite part. I loved this book and think that everyone else will too. I am loving this series and can’t wait for the next one to come out.
What a fun, entertaining story Sinners Are Winners is, I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful romance.
Saylor Rae Spada is the daughter of a Dixie Warden MC member, a club comprising cops, firefighters, ex-military and current military. Good people but very protective and poor Saylor moves to become more independent, trying to rid herself of her introverted behaviour. She is an ultrasound technician and makes the best cakes in her side business. She might be a bit introverted but still has a fun, sassy side.
Lachlan Downy Jnr, or Lock, is a red-haired, fit and hunky policeman now in the Kilgore motorcycle patrol unit. He once was a bit of a larrikin and ladies man in previous books but boy does he show a different side once he sets his sight on Saylor. They are absolutely fantastic together and such great characters. I found myself really liking them straight away because they are easy to relate to and very real.
The mystery and suspense element, while although fairly predictable, is a great touch. I suppose it doesn’t really matter however I would have liked to know a little bit more about this guy who caused such mayhem.
I enjoyed the altered cursing, for example- ‘Son of a biscuit eater.’ So funny and the meaning is clear. There are some great expressions and descriptions that are not only accurate but some are very humorous too and you find yourself chuckling out loud.
Sinners Are Winners is light romance with a good dose of passion thrown in.
One Kiss can rock the park! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I was excited for Lock story at the end of the last KPD book! Saylor is the sweet baker that wants to stay in the town with her best friend but someone is trying to send her home! Lock just keeps you laughing at all he thinks and does. One kiss at the ballpark can rock ones world in so many ways when you don’t know what is going on behind the scenes! Can these two find a way to be together when everything is trying to push them apart! LLV keeps you turning pages and wanting more of these hot cops!!!!
This is my first book by Lani and it most definitely won’t be my last.
Sinners and Winners focus around Saylor and Lock, and there hot as hell love story.
These two first met by chance, and it wasn’t the nicest way, it was quite embarrassing really, and it was a long 6 months before they met up again but after that second time meeting, it was a full force for these two. The connection between the two of them was pulsating, addictive and insanely intense. What starts with delicious lust, turns into hot as hell passion and love, and the authors weave her words together to create an unforgettable love story that takes us down a steamy, hot and intense road with a few twists and turns thrown in to keep us on our toes, and that it did!
Lock was sweet, and he adored Saylor, that was made known, and he would do just about anything for this woman.
Saylor is sassy, witty and a little spitfire, yet she has a soft sweet side to her too.
These two together? HOT DAMN. It was enough to melt my kindle in my hands. The pages were all but on fire but even though it holds so much heat, it also shows that these two aren’t just capable in the bedroom, but they are outside of it too. The things these two were willing to do for each other made my heart flutter and made my heart grow that little bit more.
This book will have you fanning yourself while swooning over the love that grows between these two as the book progressed. It was enough to make the coldest of hearts melt.
This author created a love story, that people dream about but added it with a few twists and turns. It was all-consuming, enticing, deliciously hot, addictive and a story I just couldn’t get enough of.
5 Hot and Swoony Stars!
This was not my favorite book by Lani Lynn Vale, but in saying that let me clarify it was still great! At the beginning I found it a bit confusing and a little hard to follow. I wasn’t quite sure who was who and what was what. As I got further into the book, it all started coming together.
I love the spunkiness and the attitude of Dixie. She is funny and a no holds barred kinda girl. She means what she says, and she says what she means.
Lock is just that dude. Red headed, funny and knowing what he wants. He is a determined man and his determination makes his go after who and what he wants!
Their initial meeting was hilarious (think junk punch and a kiss cam)! Yea, you gotta read the story to get that combination! But as they found their way to each other, the sexiness, the drama, the love growing sucked me right in.
Though it was not my favorite, I am still glad and I delved in and was not disappointed.
I was thrilled to be back in Kilgore . . . this time with Lock and Saylor. It all started with a random meeting at the ballpark and a televised kiss on the Kiss Cam between two strangers that goes terribly wrong and then oh so right!
I always love how Lani Lynn Vale’s couples first meet, but Lock and Saylor took the cake! This may be one of the best meet-cutes of all time! Just priceless!
Lock and Saylor’s story was insta-lust turned insta love, but it felt really right. Things definitely moved fast time wise, but the story and their romance never felt rushed. The drama was not as unexpected in this book as in others in the series, but it was well done. Honestly, Lock and Saylor were a super hot couple with off the charts chemistry wrapped up in a whole bunch of sweetness. And, I adored the swoon-worthy way that Locke helped Saylor deal with her really bad day. All the feels! 4 stars!
This is my first from this author. I really like the tempo of the story and that the characters were unknowingly connected through a few mutual acquaintances. This story has the strong family aspect from both Lock and Saylor. As their relationship develops, we see a change, through other’s eyes, leading us to swoon with the others as the story goes along. Though it can never be just that easy, there’s a niggling in the background and a suspense that keeps you flipping through to see if you’re right, and if you are, you need to find out why. Being that this is book 5, I’m going to have to go back and read the others as the characters are interesting and intriguing and now I want to know more about their world.

Saylor and Lock have the best first meeting ever I think. I mean, kiss cam and junk punching is quite the introduction to each other. It takes quite a while for the pair to get together but once they do it’s passionate from the start with drama and some suspense when certain happenings make them realise someone is gunning for them. Will Lock be able to keep himself and Saylor safe or would they be better off if she just went back home to Benton, LA?
I adore Laniland. This whole world is somewhere I get to lose myself and it makes me happy to be back here, and I love that now we are getting next gen books that we get to revisit couples that I loved from many books ago. In this case Kettle and Adeline from Halligan to my Axe (Heroes of the Dixie Wardens) and Downy and Memphis from Bang Switch (Code 11 – KPD SWAT). I can’t wait for whoever is next and I give Sinners are Winners 5 stars.

OH my word, the feels! The feels that this book gives you! I say this every time but it bares repeating: Read the previous stories, read from Boomtown on, and read in order, this way you will get the feels and appreciate the amazingness that Lock and Saylor are.
Lock and Saylor have a chance meeting a ballgame, an unforgettable meeting. Six months later, Saylor ends up knocking on Lock’s door to use his kitchen. Lock agreed to help Royal out and let her friend come over but he had no clue that the girl that bakes cakes and the girl from the ballgame were the same person. But things since the ballgame have not been good for Saylor and she is intending on moving back to Benton. For Lock, he is willing to do anything to get Saylor to stay, he just knows that given the chance they can be something good. But it seems like at every turn something is happening that makes them wonder if Saylor staying is a good idea. Can Lock keep her safe with him, or is she better off with her daddy?
This was so good, I can’t even go into how good this was. The naughty bits were on fire, the right amount of drama and danger. We got to see previous characters that we love. My only complaint is I found it difficult to believe that Lock and Saylor’s paths never crossed before. Other than that, it was a super amazing read. I give this 5 stars.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sinners are Winners! It is the perfect addition to the KPD Motorcycle Patrol series!
From initial attraction to a kiss for a ball park kiss cam it would be six months before Lock and Saylor would meet again. They each thought about the other, so when fate puts them back in each other’s lives the sparks start to fly! I really enjoyed these two characters, their banter and how their relationship grew. Add in a bit of intrigue and this is a book you should definitely read!
Saylor and Lock meet totally by chance. Saylor was on a first date with a Loser (with a capital L) and he was with his sister. When the kiss-cam focuses on them, they go ahead and kiss and then all hades breaks loose.
He’s now on the KPD Motorcycle Patrol and let me tell you, the women can’t get enough of their uniforms!! Wait till you read about them! Lock is a great guy, little bit alpha, little bit of hotness and a little bit of he’ll do whatever he needs to, to keep his woman safe. (Actually, you can take out the little bit and put a lot of) *wink*
Saylor is a total sweetheart, funny, and likes to do things on her own. She wasn’t looking for a man but she definitely found one in Lock.
Can’t wait to read Malachai’s story! I have a feeling I’ll be crying more than usual in one of LLV’s books!
I feel like I’m late to the whole loving Lani Lynn Vale party.. I’ve read a few books but after reading this book and Make Me before this i feel like i need to go back and read everything she’s ever wrote. Also have you noticed she’s killing it with these new releases. I feel like I’ve been living under a rock.
Saylor and Lock was bloody amazing, i loved the chemistry between them, it seemed to been off the charts.
I loved Saylor, she was pretty independent but also wasn’t so stubborn either.
Lock i loved, he was amazing and like the LLV men I’ve read he’s got the broody-ness and the heart eyes for his woman.
I’m dying for the next one, i love the journey these books take you on.
Oh Saylor and Lock were AMAZING! This book was fairly light and was fast paced. Seeing these two, enjoying their banter, the steam, seeing some of my favorite characters from the other series….. it made me just devour it. I do with that some things were more drawn out and it’s felt a little like some things left me scratching my head but for the most part I loved it.
Now, I have a feeling that the next book is going to gut me. LLV didn’t give much away but with the nature of this book I feel like it was a “I’ll be nice before I rip your heart out” type thing. No matter what’s going to happen this book have me all the warm and fuzzies, made me laugh, fab my self and just be happy. Bring on the next KDP patrol book, I’m ready…… well I think. (Lol) 4 stars #2OCCJD
