One of Entertainment Weekly’s Top Ten Romances of 2018! I’m not a good man, and I’ve never pretended to be. I don’t believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn’t paid for in advance. What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18.They have words for men like me–playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser. My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me.Sinner.Sinner is a standalone … and he only has one word for me.
Sinner.
Sinner is a standalone companion to Priest about Father Bell’s brother Sean. You do not have to read Priest or Midnight Mass to read Sinner more
I can’t write a review that expresses my love of the evolution of Sean Bell. Sean is an elite playboy with a tragic past. Zenny was a child when Sean last saw her and goes unrecognized at a social event that is to be her last night out. When Sean realizes who Zenny is and what she is to become, he knows she is off limits. However, Zenny’s proposition of no strings sex is too much temptation for for Sean. Nothing is ever easy in his world and things become complicated. This is a brilliantly written love
If you thought the story of Tyler was hot in books 1 and 1.5, you need to read this book about Sean and Zenny. Sean is clearly lost and finds only pleasure in money, work and women. Never did he think he would find someone like Zenny that makes him question everything he has bee over the years, someone who makes him think about God again. This book is just as steamy as priest, but in a different way, this one is about love and finding your way back to God, instead of fearing you are losing him and your life by falling in love. Looking forward to the next book release.
I really enjoyed this book. I love how the characters change throughout the course of the book and realize what they truly believe in. This book is also very sexy but on top of that it gave me all the feels and I got supper excited. I know I love a book when I genuinely feel for the characters.
Chapters 12-14 teacher/student. Amazing!! Great character development for Sean. Second to last chapter was the tear-jerker along with how the Bell family experienced the passing of their mother. A little too much religion for me, but it was necessary to get the story across. All in all it was very well written and thought provoking.
Sean is a thirty six old man that is in love with a twenty one old black young lady and her name is Zenny. Zenny has always work hard in school and didn’t enjoy her youth as she want to, so she ask Sean would he teach her about sex. Because she was becoming a nun and didn’t want to be one until she had sex with a man. And it take off from there. All the ups and downs they have with one another is something else and they fall heavy in love with one another, before she is to be a nun.
Sean Bell is sinful and Zenny is a saint. When their paths cross after a number of years the sparks fly and theheat is sizzling
Hot and devilishly written.
Fab characters and evolving stories.
I confess I ugly cried near to the end .
I read Priest and can’t understand why this never was on my radar.
Make sure it’s on yours. A fabulous read
If I could travel back in time, the one thing I would do differently is not be myself…
Sean Bell you sexy kinky gorgeous man. Sean and Zenny had me spinning with emotions. I found myself tearing up throughout their story. Sean has an epiphany that changes all what he believes in this world. Meeting Zenny was awe-inspiring for Sean and I have to say for me as well.
wow. get ready to sin with Sean bell.this was seriously so amazing! it touched on difficult topics such as religion, sex, church, and death. this book was HOT. like, my kindle was on fire. PANTY MELTING HOT. sean bell is one horny man. this was completely in his POV, and i don’t read male POV too much but this was amazing. his inner monologue was hilarious. (bc he’s so horny lol) sean bell is a business man who was pining over his best friends sister and she’s one word: forbidden. not just because she’s his best friends little sister, but she’s sort of a nun in training at the church that his sister used to be at before she died. the church where his brother used to be a priest. zenny will soon be a full catholic nun and will have to take her vow of abstinence. she wants to have sex before she takes her vows in one month. so what does she do? she asks sean to have sex with her. talk about a filthy forbidden catholic romance! sean bell is zennys worst nightmare. he has sex with strippers and hookers and never calls women back. he’s a complete womanizer. however, he’s never been in love but soon he starts to fall for zenny. but what if he falls too far and she goes back to the order – will he be left hanging?
“ . . , . . ’ .”
overall it was a very fun, filthy, steamy age gap read and it showed the sexual awakening and sexual exploration journey of a nun in training, healing, and unexpected love.
Holy hotness I love this series! I don’t know if Sean is more taboo than his brother but Zenny and him sure gave it a go!
Sean has all the guilt and indecisiveness a man questioning faith would have. Zenny needs to be sure she is going on the correct path in her life that she is meant to. When these two come together sparks fly and I couldn’t put their story down!
If you love the forbidden and taboo this story is a must read!
Sinner is about a thirty-six year old promiscuous man who no longer believes in God. His hatred and anger in God stems from what happened to his sister and mother. He doesn’t get entangled in emotions or feelings that’s why he limits his sex with socialites and strippers.
Zenny is a young beautiful girl who propositions Sean into a fake sexual relationship. She chose Sean because of his unapologetic dirty sexual charm.
Before marrying in the house of God Zenny wants to remove any doubts regarding her choice to become a nun.
Sierra Simone gives her readers a salacious unconventional forbidden taboo story between a young girl wanting to become a nun and a man who has had a falling out with God. It’s dirty, it’s raunchy, and it’s wickedly delicious. There’s no disputing that Sierra is the queen of erotic sex scenes. These scenes will steam up your ereader. However, with all that said I still found myself unable to enjoy the sex scenes or connect with the characters. While I found myself immersed in pages of sexual activity it’s in these words and sentences where they were just that sex scenes. It wasn’t lost on me how at this point the story became about a teacher/student relationship with Sean exploring every part of Zenny’s body opening up her petals.
I loved Zenny’s innocence and naivety about sex. I liked how Sean talked her through all the moves getting reassurance from Zenny. She’s both bossy and shy while building confidence along the way. For an experienced man I love how Sierra found creative firsts. The exploring scenes were hot AF.
Sierra approached many variable between Sean and Zenny besides the age difference and her being Sean’s best friends younger sister. The topic of Catholicism came up numerous times with how Zenny loved her faith in God while Sean lost his faith. I appreciated these scenes as well. However, my dilemma stems not from the age difference, forbidden best friends sister, or religion it was with comparing these with the type of sex they desired.
Sierra overcrowded the taboo storyline with too many obstacles which really weren’t obstacles at all. Stating that she was black was an unnecessary part of the storyline as was her partial virginity.
Where I thought Sean’s character bloomed was with his relationship with his mother and brothers. Im not disputing that Sierra can write the hell out of those dirty sex scenes. It’s just I need something besides dirty sex scenes.
For me I didn’t find anything forbidden about the sex itself only the places they chose to have sex.
Sierra once again tests the boundaries between religious beliefs and sex.
This is another story involving Catholicism. Another story about temptation. Another story about impure characters. There were great moments and dull moments. There are multiple mini plots working in conjunction with the main plot. These subplots explain his backstory while also explaining his ability to process information in the present.
This is a controversial topic advocated well. The advice given, the research, and the forethought invested to convince the readers of the choices being made are plausible. Sierra considered all aspects. She advocated all sides of the situation. My issues aren’t with her advice or her research.
Author: Sierra had all the outlining components of a forbidden story with elements of age, religion, and the womanizing factor. Yet, It was missing the Tyler character component. In Priest Tyler’s beliefs and emotional turmoil were a big contributing factor in that story. Sinner lacks that emotional turmoil.
Narrator:
Read and performed by Jacob Morgan and Morae Borhon. Jacob was the primary performer of Sinner. It’s his voice talent that had the power to bring these characters to life. The audiobook was performed in a sound proof facility offering the highest quality performance.
Jacob Morgan also narrates as Zachary Webber. Whether your listening to Jacob or Zachary both performances still give you that sexy, expressive, and exuberant sound.
It was aight….
I think I had high hopes for this one because PRIEST was freaking hot and good.
Wow, this book was even better than I’d expected. Simone reminds me a bit of my favorite author Tiffany Reisz. Both women are fantastic at combining erotica and slightly taboo subjects, making them work and offering a story that is heartfelt, steamy, and thought-provoking.
Simone is fast becoming a favorite (This is the second book I’ve read by her, my first was Priest).
The parts about the mother were very emotional for me, I cried so much
5+ stars!
This book! WOW. It feels like my heart will never recover from this incredible masterpiece! Sierra Simone is an incredibly talented writer. She is brilliant in her execution of words. I absolutely could not put this down! I was completely engaged and hooked from first to last page. The story has forbidden elements to it. It is incredibly steamy and sexy. Sierra has a dirty, delicious way of writing the most phenomenal bedroom scenes. What I didn’t anticipate is the deep raw emotional connection between the characters. This story is intense, and emotional and heart wrenching at times. It is a journey of healing, and finding yourself and acceptance. It is so beautifully written.
Zenny is getting ready to commit her life to the church and God but before she does she wants to have a sexual encounter to make sure she knows what she would be missing by giving herself to the church. Sean is the perfect man in her mind because they already know each other well from growing up together. She does not want to loose her virginity to a stranger so Sean is the perfect solution. She stays firm in her decision but as the intensity and love between them grows among other things happening in Sean’s family lines get blurred and she is questioning herself and her future.
Sean is punishing himself on a daily basis. He feels so much guilt over the loss of his sister. He does not feel worthy of Zenny. They’ve known each other their whole lives and doesn’t believe he deserves something as pure and beautiful as Zenny.
In reading this book I felt so many things but it also had me questioning my own beliefs and relationship with God. I love a story as impactful as this one. That makes you think. The author is in a league of her own with her writing style. I can not recommend her enough and looking forward to reading other books of hers very soon.
Sinner is an exploration of the intersectionality of religion, attraction, and love. It turns some familiar tropes on their heads.
This was my first read by Sierra Simone. It is a very compelling book that confronts many dark and deep issues. Sean is a very successful businessman. He has turned his back on the church because his sister was abused by a priest and committed suicide. His mother is suffering from cancer. And,he is very much involved with her treatments. Zenny is in the process of becoming a nun. She is also Sean’s best friend little sister. There’s a major age gap between them. After a unexpected meet she comes to him with a proposal. Asking for his help for the next 30 days to experience all that she will be missing once she commits to being a nun. Through the book you learn why Sean has lost his faith and has become the man that he is today. You also see him work through his grief and by spending time with Zenny come back to his beliefs. This story is heartbreaking, raw, controversial, and soul searching. It also has one of the hottest sex scenes I’ve come across in a long time. This book is not for the faint of heart. It will make you think and question your beliefs.
Sean’s thoughts:
I don’t want Zenny to know how banal sex can be, I only want her to know sex as a revelations. As the kind of epiphany that rivals all religion.
I am absolutely wrecked from this story. I switched from lust-inducing scenes, to full out ugly crying in emotional pain. It had it all, and amidst all the whirling vortex of emotions, the peace that settled over Sean, that he shared with Zenny in the end, invaded my soul as well. Neither character strayed from who they were at their heart, but they became their true self when they were together. Sinner and Saint, made for each other, and finding their happiness and joy, together
Holy smokes! I don’t often cry over a book, but this one really got to me in a big way. The author does a masterful job of conveying emotions, and the conflicted feelings presented in the MC’s voice are incredibly well done. This is not a superficial book.
Zenny & Sean were hot and amazing ever. Initially I thought that they would not get along with each other because they both wanted different things from life. But destiny had other plans for them. After Tyler, Sean was hot and sexy. So worth meeting him.
“I’m a sinner with a dimpled smile and perfect hair, and I know how to make sin feel like heaven.”
This is one of those “I should have read this book long ago” kind of moments. I’ve had it sitting on my kindle and with a never ending TBR pile I just thought I’ll get to it at some point. Well I finally did and sweet mother of all that is holy I definitely need to confess my sins.
Sierra Simone can take a taboo subject; one mixed with religion, God and sex and make you think it’s the absolute best thing in the world. And it is the best, it really is. Then she decides to mix it up and throw in something that will make you feel like your soul is breaking in half and that things like this shouldn’t happen to good people but it does and it hurts so much.
This book won’t be for everyone but for those who enjoy this type of read then I’m sure you’ll enjoy the hell outta this one.
