My new financial guardian, Mathias, is a cold, self-centered, rude-ass Alpha and the son of one of the wealthiest men in the country. To him, I am a burden on society, only fit to live on a chattel farm.It doesn’t matter that I’m drawn to him, to his ominous presence and chiseled jaw, his muscular body in his fitted silk suits. I’m a single dad with kids and responsibilities –I don’t have time … don’t have time for that rich bastard.
He keeps coming by the house so I can sign documents, fine. But then he’s got cute gifts for my kids.
It’s got to stop. I don’t have time to fix him. Don’t have time to fall in love with an Alpha right now.
A non-shifter Alpha/Omega love story with mpreg, a single widower Omega dad, an Alpha who
cannot knot, emotional issues, two adorable identical twin boys, and an HEA.
Some characters from “Trust No Alpha” make appearances in this novel, however, this book is a
standalone read.

Single Omega Dad by Wendy Rathbone is the fourth book in the Omegs Misfits series. The world created in this series is an Alpha/Omega, non-shifter universe where the omega are treated not so well in general, and the Alphas seem to think they are supreme. But as this love story shows, change is possible.
Mathias is an alpha who is in a state of self-reflection and past regret. Everything he thought he knew, everything he grew up to believe, is being slowly proven to be invalid. The beautiful Sabor shows him that omega are to be treasured and not dismissed as useless 7nless you need a vessel to carry your offspring or a place to spend your rut. Sabor is capable, beautiful and caring… and Mathias is broken but worth saving. I love them together and the family they gorm with 5he adorable children.
The story has sweetness and steam, past hurts and forgiveness. Its well written and entertaining and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
I truly love this series!!! After reading the first book Mathias was such a jerk. I was hoping maybe time would help him grow. Mathias’ dad is an ice cold, unfeeling alpha. No wonder his children are a mess. When Mathias meets Saber and his children, he has no clue what to do. I loved it!! I can’t wait for the next book. Highly Recommend!!!!
When Mathias does a favor for a coworker, he never thought that his life would change. A simple day at work turns his life upside down. Saber is just another omega that needs the banks help, at least that is what Mathias thinks but soon Mathias does not know what to think. A spark begins to ignite between the two and soon emotions are thrown into he mix. Can Mathias and Saber find happiness, or will Mathias let it slip away?
I enjoyed Mathias and Saber’s story. The two fit well together and it was nice to see their journey take shape. Mathias goes through a lot of self-searching and begins to heal with help. Saber is a strong man and fights hard to survive in an alpha ruled world. It was nice to see the understanding that Saber shows and that he does not judge Mathias. Not only did I enjoy the main characters, but the supporting characters made themselves known as well. Saber’s children were adorable and the interaction between them and both Saber and Mathias was great. I also liked seeing Mathias and his brothers interact and find solace in each other. The author weaves a beautiful story full of strong characters with a thought-provoking plot.
OMG!! I am again without words with this new installment in The Omega Misfits series. Each book is better than the previous one, and this book 4 is not exception. I was absolutely surprised not only with the incredible plot, but also with the characters. I am not spoiling it for you, but you may want to read again book 1, before start reading this one, even if it can be read as standalone, believe me, you’ll enjoy it and understand it more. Mathias and Saber’s story is full of angst and conflict, not so intense than in other books but equally heartbreaking and devastating for the characters. Again Ms Rathbone managed the emotional context as a master, each character’s thoughts and feelings are so intense that if they don’t act on those feeling they are going to explode and we, as readers, with them. The book caught me in its emotional turmoil since the beginning and I couldn’t let go until the very end. Captivating and unique love story. Wonderful!
As a fan of MPREG, I could not wait to dive in and see what the story of Mathias and Saber had to offer.
Leave it up to an arrogant alpha to be softened by an omega he’s tried to deny himself.
Mathias was an arrogant and rude person. Being an alpha only added to his repulsiveness. Of course he chooses a profession to help spread his self-centered aura. He didn’t receive his arrogance dishonestly. His alpha father, Varian is just as bad.
Saber is a single dad to twins, one alpha and one omega. After his alpha, Drayden dies (on the very day he found out he’s nearly three months pregnant), Mathias becomes the financial guardian. These circumstances weren’t easy. Especially since you have to deal with an alpha who has little regard for omegas.
Life has a way of forcing you to change. Saber is thrust into Mathias’ life, the very pregnant omega is just as feisty.
Can these two find it in themselves to work through all the swirling emotions?
This is is my first read from the series. I wasn’t sure if I cold follow the story given that fact, but I was not at all disappointed.
**I received this ARC from Gay Romance Reviews for my honest feedback.**
The writing just grabbed my attention from the first pages. Mathias has some major baggage. Always striving to measure up and always knowing that he doesn’t. Meeting Saber and his boys introduce him to something he never knew he needed. Saber’s fierce independence was wonderful but how he opened himself up to Mathias was exactly what he needed to find his HEA. The ending was perfection.
It was a pleasure to read this heartwarming non-shifter alpha/omega Mpreg romance that has a “second-chance/redemption” undertone for one of the main characters whose journey actually started in “Trust No Alpha”. It has an interesting plot with some good scenes descriptions & world building. The unique characters react with realistic emotional feelings while they go on an emotional journey of discovery while they continue to develop throughout the story-line. In particular, I liked the way the one character (Mathias) managed to redeem himself by changing his attitude towards the other character (Saber) & omegas in general.
There is: a rather arrogant alpha male financial advisor (Mathias Vandergale) is place in charge of the financial aspects of a strong-willed male omega & single father (Saber Volmar) & his twin boys (a omega, Tybor) & (a alpha, Luke), Saber’s deceased alpha (Drayden), Mathias’s cold-hearted alpha father (Varian) & his caring but determined brother (Trigg), omega chattel farms, family issues, drama, intrigue, secrets, suggestions, disagreements, strange attractions, memories, regrets, indecision, vulnerability, confrontations, decisions, love, bonding, steamy scenes & a well-deserved happy conclusion.
Can one strong omega totally change an arrogant alpha? You bet!
This series continues to challenge what we think we know about alpha/ omega relationships. The world is unique; from Alpha Burns to the disturbing omega chattel farms. But the characters are so alive, they just grab you and pull you in. You will love this book!
This is an old fashioned romance. Mathias is a rich, spoiled, arrogant alpha with a low opinion of omegas, courtesy of his cold, uncaring father. A turn of fate tilts his world on end when a feisty, pregnant omega with twin boys is thrown into his life. Suddenly, something inside him is struggling to break free… emotions. Newly widowed, Saber wants to dislike the financial guardian the law says he has to have. But as he gets to know Mathias, he realizes a bond is forming between them; and Saber wants a fairy tale ending.
Yes, there will be HEA. Along the way secrets will be revealed. A lifetime of prejudice will be undone. And, two little boys will capture your heart. I loved this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
This is the fourth book set in this interesting world but it can be read as a standalone. In this book we follow Mathias who is Kris’s brother from book one “Trust no Alpha”. I didn’t like Mathias in “Trust no alpha”, he was arrogant, he thought omegas were less than human and he treated Kris horribly. I was very curious about his story and I wanted to see if the author could make me love him. And I have to admit that it was incredibly satisfying to see his character evolve and change with every chapter. It was also really interesting to read from his point of view and find out what made him act the way he did. It’s always great to read about characters that admit their mistakes and work hard to grow. The romance was very cute and sweet, the chemistry between the main characters was fantastic and the little kids were realistically written which is great. I loved the book and I can’t wait for the next one!
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review
Saber’s Alpha mate died, and he is left to raise their children. He meets Mathias, a cold heart Alpha who believes he is broken. Mathias feels something for Saber and his children. Everything he has been raised to believe just might not be right. This was a really good, steamy story. Low angst but lots of feels good emotions.
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
This was my first read by Wendy, I know this is book 4 in The Omega Misfits series, but I had no trouble reading this as a standalone, it didn’t affect the story quality or background, all it did was make me want to read the other ones I had missed!
I’ve read plenty of Omegaverse stories, but this was my first M/M version, and it took me a little while to adjust and get my head around it, it just took me a little while to get round the concept that in this world there just aren’t any women, it’s just males, and a pregnant one at that!! But once I was there I loved the story and the content, the engaging story line and the characters. It’s angsty and heartfelt, hot and steamy, and all about finding love, redemption and your soulmate.
Mathias is the son of the bank owner, raised by his father to be cold and unfeeling, he’s an Alpha through and through, taught that Omegas are nothing but holes to be used, for breeding, for serving. He is asked to do a favour for a colleague and process some financial documents for an Omega who’s Alpha had died. It’s not until he meets Saber and his twin sons that his whole world implodes and his views are changed.
Saber lost his Alpha a couple of months ago, he dotes on his twin boys and also has another two on the way, and can’t believe how much his world is rocked by meeting Mathias. He is everything he shouldn’t want, but just can’t help himself.
I loved watching this turn from a business proposal into something much more personal, and how Mathias’ view point on the whole Omega thing changes. I loved their connection, so deep and heartfelt and how the twins added a layer of cuteness into the story. A thoroughly enjoyable read from start to finish, I look forward to reading more from Wendy.
I liked and didn’t like this book. It was good to see Mathias get his story but I felt it didn’t quite hit the mark. It felt a little tame, I was expecting more angst after reading book 1 which I’d recommend reading before this as it has more of M’s back story.
Saber and the boys are definitely a good match for Mathias but I was expecting a more grittier story, after reading the other books in the series
I have read a lot of alpha/omega stories lately but this one was definitely different in the way that omega’s were seen as much less than the alpha’s of the world. I honestly went in the first couple of chapters not liking this world but as Mathias accepted Saber and his children, I slowly started liking the world Saber was trying to create for his children where both were equal. I love a good single dad romance and this fit the bill perfectly.
