Wyatt
All I ever wanted was to be a father. But raising a baby alone wasn’t part of the plan.
So when the woman who carried my little girl into this world comes back into my life, of course I take the help.
But the longer I’m around her, the more I notice how much she has changed.
She’s all woman now. A body begging for my touch.
Those curves are driving me wild, and I find that I need her as much as my daughter does.
Falling in love with my nanny means risking losing everything all over again, but I’m willing to do it if she can give me what I’ve always desired.
A family.

Single Dad’s Surrogate by Krista Lakes is a heartwarming, emotional story about a young woman, Lily who became a surrogate for Wyatt and his wife but now he’s a a widower trying to raise his young daughter. Lily has always been a part of their lives while hiding her feelings for Wyatt and now he needs her help. Will they find the HEA they are looking for…only time will tell…
This is such an endearing story! It is charming and romantic… and at the same time the main characters are so like-able and nice that you cant help loving them and wanting to see where their story goes. It had a good plot…great banter… lots of Ah moments… Lots of spice… some angst but not over done. And to me the best of all is the Krista Lakes’ Happily Ever After ending.
Lily and Wyatt’s relationship started out as true friendship… they truly like each other. They have been friends for over five years, brought together by Wyatt’s deceased wife and the need for a child. Lily was their surrogate and gave them their dream of their beautiful daughter Maggie. To Maggie she is Aunt Lily. But when the current Nanny wants to go on a vacation, Wyatt ask Lily to help out. Since Wyatt’s wife death he has become a walking zombie, living a painful nightmare where everything he saw reminded him of what he’d lost. But when Lily comes to stay it awakens something again in him. And the delight is magical as these two wonderful people start to see each other, in a totally different light. But will Wyatt’s conscious and grief get the better of him?
Give yourself a treat and cuddle up and read this book… you will finish with a smile and the satisfied sigh you get when finishing a well written romance.
This is an interesting story of surrogate to nanny to lover and more. It’s a slow burn romance with strong characters in Lily and Wyatt. The author does a good job developing the story and building the relationship. It’s a well written story with both looking for a family. I enjoyed reading their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Being the first book I’ve read from either lady, it was pretty good. A little bit different than most romances. I liked the story and the characters but I feel like it could have been better. I didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters as much and it was a little slow going but still a good book.
