He was a hot single dad… and I was a hot mess.Fate brought us together. Big biceps, adorable dimples, and taller than a chimney. It was lust at first sight. The problem, though?I found out that the mysterious hottie wasn’t a stranger after all. He was completely off limits. Hell, he had history with my sister. To make matters worse? He was technically still married. Wait, that wasn’t even the … technically still married.
Wait, that wasn’t even the most complicated thing about him.
He’d have to leave the country after his divorce came through.
Unless… he married another U.S. citizen.
A single mom with a crisis that only he could solve?
Yeah, I was the perfect candidate with every reason to say yes.
But I also had every reason to protect my heart and run in the opposite direction.

Jessica is a divorced mom and her parents secretly signed her up on a dating app. Arthur is finalizing his divorce and signed up on the MeetMe app for female companionship trying to forget that his work visa expires in 12 months. When he sees Jessica’s profile he is intrigued why she would put her email address and phone number on the site. They begin texting each other and finally agree to meet for drinks and are surprised when they realize they know the same people and he had danced with her sister at a friend’s engagement party. Well, the surprises don’t end there.
This book is smoking hot! The chemistry between Arthur and Jessica is hot from the start. I love all the characters and Jessica’s boss may be a jerk, but his interference in her and Arthur’s life makes him more human. I highly recommend this book and love Summer Brooks more each book of hers that I read.
A nice quick read. I like how from the start they are comfortable with each other. I also like how he does not fight his feelings. Great ending too.
ARC was given to me by Author. My review is given voluntarily and all comments and opinions on the book are mine alone.
Single Dad Fake Fiance by Summer Brooks
.I gave this book 5 stars. This was my first book I read by this author. It’s writen as POV which this style of storytelling is growing on me.
Goodness me, the story of Arthur and Jessica how they came to be together is a complicated one. They both have baggage they are carrying on their shoulders and hearts.
Jessica is a mother of a five year old girl called Lily, she’s divorced from a jerk that cheated on her even as she was pregnant….so her trust in men and marriage is very low.
Arthur is in the divorce process himself, he only got married because a one night mistake created the cutest little baby called Megan , so they both decided to give the family thing a try but. Unfortunately things kinda derailed for him, and ex. He loves his daughter though. The big issue he is facing now is that his temporary visa is set to expire in 1year, if he is not legally married to an American citizen, he must return back to Canada where he’s from. He is feelings devastate that he will have to leave his precious princess behind.
There was so much that was going on in this great book. I loved how they treated their children, doing the best they could under the circumstances. It was heartbreak sometimes.( I came from divorce parents it’s not easy.)
The way Jess came to the rescue was grand, and how they both clicked so well was surprisingly natural. Great steamy chemistry!
The secondary characters were good and noise…lol
This does have a HEA ending. I hope we have more novels about the remaining unmarried friends to come?
Jessica is a single mother of a 5 year old daughter, Lily, currently at boarding school on a grant. She works tirelessly as an undervalued copywriter. Meanwhile, Arthur, a single father of adorable baby Megan, was getting a divorce from his loveless marriage when he looked through the Meetme App. He is intrigued by a stark bio. Their meeting is inevitable, but the obstacles they encounter may be to great to overcome. Summer Brooks has written a romantic story that I recommend.

When Jessica learns that her husband’s been cheating on her they end up separated. This makes her wary of being with another man so she concentrates on her daughter and her job. When she gets amazing news at work she thought it would lead to a promotion but when it didn’t she has yet another let down. Arthur is separated from his wife and is struggling himself. His green card is about to expire and he’ll have to return to Canada. Its not the going back to his hometown that bothers him as much as it is leaving his daughter behind. So when he sees Jessica’s profile on a dating app she intrigues him enough for him to message her. One message leads them to getting to know each other pretty well. Will they be able to take their relationship into the real world? Will their pasts keep them apart?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Jessica is a copywriter with a 5 year old daughter Lily. She is divorced and trying to make a living to support her and her daughter. Arthur is getting a divorce but realizes he may be deported since he isn’t married any longer. He doesn’t want to leave his daughter. He meets Jessica from an app and then they realize they know some of the same people. With the history between these two, can they make a go of a fake marriage? This was funny in some places and sad in others. Still this was an interesting book and I enjoyed it. Jessica was likeable but it took a little bit for me to warm up to Arthur since he did cheat on his wife. But he pulls it off and his chemistry with Jessica was good.

When fake doesn’t matter anymore ….
A refreshing original story-line of two single parents who meet on a dating app. Jessica agrees to help Arthur, a Canadian, to renew his green card. What starts out as a fake fiance deal, turns into far deeper feelings between them. A wonderful story of two people who take the big step of becoming a family & having their forever happiness. Beautifully done!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This book was a great read. It was so much fun. Jessica is a divorcee with a small daughter. Her parents signed her up to a dating site and she gets her first txt from Arthur. Arthur is a soon to be divorcee with a small daughter. He has decided to finally start dating again. As soon as he seen her profile picture he was attracted to her. He thought this is the type of women he could spend his life with. Fate has other plans and hopefully they will be able to over come.
Jessica’s parents sign her up on a dating site. Poorly. Luckily Arthur is intrigued by the bad profile and messages her. Jessica is a broken woman who believes she lives under a relationship curse. She loves her 5 year old daughter but divorced her husband for his many years of cheating. There’s no trust for men left in her even though she wants romance. Arthur made a drunken mistake with his friend Sophie and when she got pregnant, they married. It ruined them and their friendship but Arthur loves his baby daughter. He is divorcing Sophie when he meets Jessica. It’s a complicated story of who knows whom, who kept a secret, will they fake a relationship to get the green card, or is it really fake?? A fun yet complex story. Enjoy.

This is another great book written by this author. Jessica is a single mother who divorced her husband for cheating. In order to make ends meet she sent her daughter to boarding school looking forward to the day she could save enough to have her stay home. Arthur is a single father sharing custody with his ex. He is soon to lose his green card and be deported to Canada. They meet on an online dating app and instantly click. This is a quick fun read I recommend.

There is so much to look forward to in this book – witty banter, humour, family, and good friends. The characters are strong, determined and intriguing – you will fall in love with them. Their chemistry is potent and sizzling hot; the sex scenes are off the charts. This is an absolutely amazing book that I strongly recommend reading.

(Review with spoilers)
Nice romance. I loved it.
After separating from her husband because of his infidelity, Jessica lost confidence in men. She knows that her parents want the best for her, but she doesn’t want to know anyone or maintain a relationship. The most important thing in her life is her daughter, Lily, and she can’t even have her at her side with her salary. She is in a boarding school, and Jessica looks forward to the days she can be with her. One day, she receives a message that will change her life forever.
Arthur isn’t having a good time after his separation either. He blames himself for what happened, for cheating on his wife. It doesn’t matter that his relationship wasn’t working, he knows he acted badly. And his future divorce will definitely keep him away from Megan, his daughter, as he will have to leave the country. Sad, he looks for comfort in an internet application. He wants to meet someone, but finds much more than he was looking for.
I loved Arthur from the first moment. I love the devotion he feels for Megan, as he would do everything for her, and I also love how that devotion extends to Jessica and Lily. Hid daughter is his life, all three of them.
I don’t like that he’s been tormenting himself for months. He made a mistake, but not only by lying to his wife, but much earlier by marrying without love. It wasn’t fair to either of them.
I didn’t like Jessica at the beginning. She suffered, it’s normal that she mistrusts. And it’s normal for her to get angry with her parents for acting without telling her anything. But I don’t like her pride preventing her from asking for help.
I understand that she mistrusted Arthur. She found it hard to trust, she opened up to him, and he was not sincere with her.
I loved seeing Arthur with Megan, and also with Lily. They are both his daughters, and Jessica feels the same way.
I love Arthur’s parents, a little less Jessica’s.
This is a great story about destiny and faith colliding to ensure that two people meet, that sometimes the stars align for a reason. When Jessica gets offered a “promotion”, she’s not sure what she wants to do. She only knows that Arthur is everything that she’s ever wanted. But is she ready to forget about her past? The characters are lovable and intriguing adding depth to the story. The storyline has just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you reading and wanting the happy ending. Great read.

Two single parents. One green card going to be gone in a year. Surprising shared interests. Faked engagement, real lust and, soon enough, real romance. Summer Brooks’ Single Dad Fake Fiancé has all the ingredients for a fabulously fun book and, in the hands of a talented author like her, she cooks these ingredients up perfectly. The result is totally delicious. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Well written funny romance with twists and surprises. Moved along and realistic issues with wanting to be there for infant daughter. The struggles are real dealing with an ex.
I highly recommend. A must read author Summer Brooks

I enjoyed the storyline. Arthur and Jessica both have a past they need to move on from. But Jessica is having trouble moving on and some meddling may have pushed her to move forward.
They both have a child in their life, and are both great parents. but need to trust what they have and that it is not just a convenience for the circumstances

I absolutely loved this book! I felt it was so well written and fun. Once I started reading I literally couldn’t stop until it was done. The characters were realistic and the story seemed genuine. A definite read for anyone wanting a quick, enjoyable read!!!
A wonderfully well written captivating cute read full of emotions moving at a smooth fast pace. This adventure has lots of twists and turns that is sexy and hot while finding one true soul mate. The characters are realistic, likeable and thought they had given up on love. I loved the unpredictable events, surpising circumstances and the fact they both had children just added to the fun and drama making for a great stoyline.
