He was a hot single dad… and I was a hot mess.Fate brought us together. Big biceps, adorable dimples, and taller than a chimney. It was lust at first sight. The problem, though?I found out that the mysterious hottie wasn’t a stranger after all. He was completely off limits. Hell, he had history with my sister. To make matters worse? He was technically still married. Wait, that wasn’t even the … technically still married.
Wait, that wasn’t even the most complicated thing about him.
He’d have to leave the country after his divorce came through.
Unless… he married another U.S. citizen.
A single mom with a crisis that only he could solve?
Yeah, I was the perfect candidate with every reason to say yes.
But I also had every reason to protect my heart and run in the opposite direction.

Single Dad, Fake Fiancé is a single parent story. The main characters, Jessica and Arthur, are each single parents…thrown into it for different reasons. Arthur to Megan (a baby), and Jessica to Lily (a five year old girl. Him, because they decided they were not compatible, and her because her ex is a cheating ass.
Jessica has a job she hates (but needs) but no dating or social life. Arthur just quit his job to take over his cousin’s company…hoping he doesn’t get sent back to Canada since his divorce is almost finalized.
There are some twists and turns, some bitterness and heartfelt moments, great characters and overall storyline. I did not care for the “terms” that Jessica was forced into (TRYING NOT TO HAVE SPOILERS!) but overall a pretty enjoyable book by Summer Brooks! It was surely worth reading.
Jessica and Arthur are two divorce single parents who do not believe in love anymore until they meet. Arthur is in a bit of situation and Jessica is willing to help him. Author Summer Brooks has done it again! Super story, written well, realistic characters and a plot full of twists that will please your heart. GET THIS ONE!! Happy pages!
This is a feel good story of two people who’ve been through a divorce and pretty much given up on love , finding each other through a dating site. It’s a cute read with tons of emotions and enough twists to move the story at a quick, smooth pace. I enjoyed reading Jessica and Arthur’s story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Five years ago, Jessica thought she had everything; her man made her feel wanted, loved, desired. They got married, and now Tyler Higgins was her ex-husband. She wished she could be indifferent, but she hated him. And she didn’t want anything further to do with a man. Work as a copywriter and her 5-year-old daughter Lily was all she had left. But one day her friend Deb excitedly ran over to her desk and told her that the sales copy she had written the week before had earned their customer $300,000 dollars already and the boss wanted to see her! Could she get a promotion from this? She most definitely could use the money! But all he wanted was to say congratulations and that was all. So she took the rest of the day off.
Arthur Bridge was waiting for his ex-wife Sophie to pick up their daughter, but she was late again. So he brought up the Meetme app to distract himself. They were all so fake, until he got to ‘Jessica Clayton’. It was one line that said she was a single mom in Brooklyn. Very unpretentious. With his conditional green card expiring in a year, he knew he wouldn’t be around long; but he really didn’t want to leave his daughter when he had to return to Canada. His cousin wanted him to take over his business so he could retire; but he didn’t feel he could since he only had a year left here.
Arthur sent a message to Jessica and she replied back. As they got to know each other better, it turned out they had some people they knew in common. And they started to figure out a way that each of them could get the things they needed to solve their problems. A fake marriage would be the solution! But could it stay fake? Or is their chemistry as real as it appears? Maybe this is the family they were meant to be?
Cute story with likable characters. The story is well written and very believable in this current environment of social media and dating apps! Grab your copy and see how things turn out for these lonely people who just want to do the right thing for their families. I think you’ll enjoy it!
I loved the characters and their relationship. The storyline developed amazingly throughout. I would definitely read this book many times over.

Oh man, talk about a spectacular read. This read is as captivating as it is riveting from beginning to end. All the twists, turns and unpredictable events along with surprising circumstances that really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You feel everything the characters feels, you hurt, love and cry right along with them. Summer didn’t hold back or pull any punches, she threw it right out there and it all came out brilliantly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really brings this amazing tale to life flawlessly. Remarkable job Summer, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I enjoyed Ms. Brooks’ story. She always seems to bring a different aspect of love into her stories. This one happens to deal with an expiring visa and the only way to stay in the country is get married. I am excited to read Ms. Brooks’ next books.

Relax and read a good romantic tale
One where her parents interfere, his cousin interferes, her friends interfere and his ex wife interferes (of course she does) but can they both see their way through all this interference to the blissful family life they both crave? With a 5 year old and a baby? Blissful family life? Yeah right!
And they’re against the clock. Oh and he’s gonna be her boss. Can this get anymore intwined? Dont worry as it’s not complicated – it’s just life!
I really enjoyed this book. I really liked his quirkiness and the fact that he wasn’t slick at all and she was working her tail off to provide for her little girl – no matter that it made her unhappy to be away from Lilly as she loved her school. A good mum and a good dad – can they avoid all these pitfalls that are in their way to come together to create a loving family life for their two girls?
Put your feet up, grab a cuppa and enjoy. I know I did
This is a very good story by Summer. This is Jessica and Arthur’s story. Jessica is a single mother who only wants the best for her daughter. She wants to get the promotion at her job so she can have her daughter going to school closer to home. Arthur is in the middle of a divorce and wants nothing more than to stay in the country to be around his baby. He will face deportation back to Canada if he isn’t married. These two both need help and when she is signed up to a dating website unknowingly by her parents, Arthur is the only one who has replied. They realize they have a couple people in common. She is the sister to his best friend’s girl. He also hit on her sister at one time. Arthur is related to her boss and he wants to give the company to Arthur. They come up with a plan to be engaged and get married. However, when you have something start as fake, it usually becomes real. This will have you laughing and shaking your head and wanting to reach through and shake them. Arthur and Jessica both have an instant connection and they have hot hot chemistry. Like with any romance book, there is some drama.
She’s divorced and he’s getting divorce. These two have so mucin common and although they meet over a date web site, it is friends and families that actually tie their connection together. Jessica is looking for a promotion at work but she did not know that it would come with deception. Arthur needs a fake fiancé if he wants to stay in the US and his cousin suggests Jessica for the job. As they work on their relationship it appears that his ex wife has other ideas! Will Arthur and Jessica get around to having a real family or will all be taken away.

I love Arthur & Jessica’s story!!
Summer Brooks has given us another fabulous, second chance love story. She has yet to disappoint, then again I don’t think she ever will.
Jessica Clayton had her heartbroken 5 years ago when she found her husband and father of her daughter cheating on him. She and her sister, Heather, believed it was all the “Clayton Sister Curse”. Now she is doing everything she can to provide her daughter a better future but when her phone dings with an incoming alert she is surprised to find out she was setup on the latest dating app without her knowledge.
Arthur is going through a divorce while trying to figure out a way to continue seeing his daughter almost daily. He decides that it’s time to start dating again but when he stumbles on Jessica’s profile he recognizes her immediately. So what does he do?? The only thing he can think of, he sends her a message. Yes, he may have an ulterior motive but once he gets to know Jess better it all changes.
