A Steamy Office RomanceLincolnMy life is going to hell in a handbasket. My bitter rival just stole the technology I spent millions to design and passed it off as his. Now I have less than two weeks to come up with a miracle, or lose everything I’ve worked all my life for. Into this hot mess comes my ex-wife. This is the woman who fought me tooth and nail for custody of my daughter. She shows up … for custody of my daughter. She shows up at my office, drops my kid at reception, and flies off to Europe. So now I have a child, no nanny, and nothing in place to care for my little girl.
To top it all off, my new Senior Engineer walks into my office. A juicy, blonde spitfire who heats up my blood and makes me want to forget my number one rule: Do NOT Sleep With Your Employees.
Sam
The owners of multi-million dollar companies should be pot-bellied middle aged men who smell of cigars. Not Lincoln Cage. Nope. A girl could drown in his stormy eyes. She could even mold her body against those very hard muscles.
Not me, obviously, just a general observation.
I’m not looking for a relationship and I’ve got too much self-respect to sleep with my boss. Especially, since he is the most arrogant, demanding, bad-tempered, cocky jerk I’ve ever met.
A full length standalone with guaranteed happily ever after and no cheating. File Includes awesome bonus content.

First time reading this author!! BUT WOW! I loved it so much!! I loved the characters and how they were brought together.
Can Paxton change his ways, and see Avery as anything else?
When an unexpected delivery arrives at Paxton’s door, he jumps right in and takes responsibility for her. Avery jumps right into the Mother role and talk about emotional!!!!!
I was on one hell of a ride that’s for sure!
Molly, man I wanted to punch her so many times, but I’m glad Paxton seen through her antics!
I loved the way the story flowed, and the storyline so much!
Would def read more, and I can’t wait to, as the rest of the guys were introduced in the book!
My fave quotes from the book!
1. “Whoa. Cart. Horse. Hold up, crazy pants.” – When Paxton puts into words what all Avery is doing for him.
2. “They do, they call them wives.” – ROFL!!! When Paxton was talking with Avery about their new agreement.
3. “I told her I couldn’t take her because it was lunch time.” – A reason Paxton gave Avery for not taking to her a restaurant she was wanting to try. LOL! Made me laugh for some reason.
4. “Will you be my girl, Avery?” – AWE!!! *CUE SWOONING*
5. I couldn’t imagine ever being with anyone else again. – When Paxton realises how much Avery means to him!!!!
6. “Awful Waffle is fine.” – Talking about Waffle House, and that’s what I call it!!
Single Dad has a hot single dad and a smart, sweet engineer whose road to their HEA is quite a bumpy one.
Lincoln is having a bad day, make that a bad life. He’s the CEO of a successful company whose drone design was stolen right before its release. Now he’s working overtime to figure out who stole his idea and why. To top that off, he’s a single dad now that his wretch of an ex wife literally dumped off their daughter, Maddie, on him while their daughter had chicken pox. When his newest Senior Engineer, Sam (Samantha) vaults into his life and his heart, can they make it work? Especially when it appears that she just may be the rat who stole his technology, or at least be associated with the person who stole it?
I really liked Single Dad. It’s sweet and their chemistry is smokin. I do wish Lincoln had groveled A LOT more than he did at the end, though, because what he had said to her before that is something no man (or woman) should ever call someone, especially someone they love. But, other than that, I liked Single Dad. The storyline is great, the characters are fully drawn, especially little Maddie, and I appreciated that the heroine is an Engineer, as it’s not every day romances feature female engineers.
Lincoln is scrambling to come up with a new project or lose everything. His ex wife drops off their daughter and he has no baby sitter lined up. Sam is an engineer and ambitious woman. Sparks fly when these two meet for the first time. A sweet, hot story that I enjoyed to the last page.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely adore River Laurent’s books. This story was amazing. It has mystery, drama, suspense, and of course hot romance. This is a different story line that draws you in and keeps you hanging on until you just have to get to to the end. I loved the characters development and their personalities. They are so real-life that is just like someone you know in person and you are watching their live unfold. Sam is such an amazing female lead and my favorite in this story. Lincoln is a very stubborn and head strong kind of guy but boy does he redeem himself. This is definitely worth reading and it doesn’t disappoint. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
Loved it
This was such a great story. It progressed good. A Well written book that’s hard to put down.loved it
Sam and Lincoln were seemingly all wrong for one another but yet there was that something, that spark, that ignited and drew them together. Whether they can let go of pride and submit to what they’re feeling to allow that spark to grow, however, is the question.
There were remarkable moments of lightness in this story. I was expecting something that revolved more around bedroom antics rather than corporate espionage, family, and feelings. Though the road wasn’t easy, they did evolve and see the other person for who they really are inside. That made the difficult situations easier to bear, especially when they let honesty guide their reunion. Overall, this was a much deeper story than I was expecting and I was happily surprised.
