“Every life has a soundtrack. “All you have to do is listen. Music has set the tone for most of Zoe Baxter’s life. There’s the melody that reminds her of the summer she spent rubbing baby oil on her stomach in pursuit of the perfect tan. A dance beat that makes her think of using a fake ID to slip into a nightclub. A dirge that marked the years she spent trying to get pregnant. For better or for … better or for worse, music is the language of memory. It is also the language of love.
In the aftermath of a series of personal tragedies, Zoe throws herself into her career as a music therapist. When an unexpected friendship slowly blossoms into love, she makes plans for a new life, but to her shock and inevitable rage, some people–even those she loves and trusts most–don’t want that to happen.
“Sing You Home “is about identity, love, marriage, and parenthood. It’s about people wanting to do the right thing for the greater good, even as they work to fulfill their own personal desires and dreams. And it’s about what happens when the outside world brutally calls into question the very thing closest to our hearts: “family.

The hallmark of an excellent debater is their ability to passionately argue not only for what they believe, but the opposite with equal dexterity. Sword finely sharpened on both sides, you can practically hear the air hiss with each verbal lunge, thrust, parry, and counter-parry, as Jodi Picoult deftly wields this story past cutting edge, taking …
I loved this book like no other. It was so realistic and raw. I love Picoult, but this novel took it to another level for me.
I’m really at a loss for words, highly recommend!
Ever since I read my first of her books, Ms Picoult has been a favorite of mine. She really knows how to get to me, every time.
I enjoyed it and learned a great deal about infertility problems as well.
I loved this unique book which includes original music. While it entertains, the book also provides commentary on modern themes such as the freedom to love who we love and the rights of the unborn. Food for thought. Looking forward to reading another of Jane’s books!
NEVER disappointed in her books!
I love all of her books but this is one of my favorites.
one of the best
I just finished this book about a half hour ago. I haven’t read something that caused me to feel so many emotions in a really long time. I’m honestly still kind of reeling from the whole thing – the emotional roller coaster, and the happy ending has had me smiling since I finished it.
The story is told through three points of view: Zoe, Max, and …
My favorite author!
Very moving as the characters try to navigate through the world of in vitro fertile eggs. Who do they belong to when the partners separate? The woman, or the man.
Great book!! No matter how you the reader feels about the subject matter you are given an insight on how and why the other side feels as they do. Very relevant subject matter in our ever changing society.
I love Jodi Piccoults books
