I loved this book. The author makes you fall in love with the characters. I cried, laughed and was angry with them at same time. A Must Read.

I am intrigued by Ms. Miles writing each book I have read has taken me on some very interesting journeys. This dark romance has all the making of being another hell of a ride. This has more ups and downs than a roller coaster it was a thrill to read. Zeke and the Siren story is very complex even names change, but this book ends with betrayal and is a get set-up for the next book. If you like it dark this is the one for you. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This story was just amazing. She had saved him before and now its his turn to do the same for her. Couldnt get enough and am so ready for the next book for more.

A Suspense-Filled Slow Burn That Hooks You Into The Series! Zeke And Siren Both Harbor Secrets, But Their Intentions Are At Odds.

This series is a spin-off of the Truth or Lies series, but it may be read on its own.

Stranded in the middle of the ocean with a gunshot wound to the chest, Zeke finds himself plucked from the water by a beautiful angel with a sweet voice who calls herself Siren. Although he never experienced love before, satisfied exclusively by one-nighters, the humble giant and formidible beast is captivated by Siren.

He awakens later and finds himself on St. Kitts, beholden to local crime lord Julian Reed for the good medical care that saved his life. He recognizes the potential danger to his boss, Enzo Black, and his friends from Miami should he leave the island without repaying his debt to Julian’s satisfaction. Zeke manages to keep his true identity a secret and begins to work for Julian, assuming that in a few months’ time he will ask for permission to leave with Julian’s blessing.

Siren Martinez, thirty-two, can’t lie. It is a product of being raised by her adoptive father – a pastor. It is a burden that she has learned how to use to her advantage; half truths can be very misleading. She also hates men. She has never met a good man and is convinced they don’t exist. She would love to leave St. Kitts after years of residency, but finds herself stuck. Frustrated, she makes a desperate attempt to take something of value and buy her way off, but gets caught in the act and sold into slavery.

When Zeke is given a final task to earn his freedom, he is shocked to recognize Siren amongst the slaves being auctioned. He owes her his life and commits himself to protecting her at any cost. He purchases her, but knows he must keep his true intentions with her secret until they safely leave the island.

Zeke and Siren are naturally at odds while Zeke keeps up the charade. Siren doesn’t trust that he isn’t a monster, while Zeke doesn’t trust that she won’t run and ruin his chances of saving her. Despite their strong mutual attraction, they don’t lose themselves in passion. Too much is at stake and neither wants to lose focus. They embark on a game of truth or sin, similar to truth or dare, to learn one another’s secrets. The answers come only at the end, which ends with a twist and a cliffhanger. This is the first book in a six part series.

Readers may have questions while reading. Most resolve sufficiently once the truth is known. I found it unrealistic, however, that Zeke left Julian alive without either being attacked by Julian’s men or he himself standing up and claiming control of the operation. Zeke was too smart and experienced to believe he could walk away. He also could have ended his debt and attempted to shut down the trafficking then and there by taking over. He could have attended to Siren without leaving the home.

Zeke and Siren’s first story is a suspense-filled slow burn that hooks you into the series. Zeke and Siren both harbor secrets, but their intentions are at odds. The book is nicely written. The POV alternates between Zeke and Siren. The plot is carefully constructed. The characters are nicely developed, although much mystery remains to be explained in future books of the series. I rate this book four stars.

Totally perfect – I’m hooked from the very beginning

It has been a while since I read such an intriguing start to the new series. It’s hard to give an opinion without spoiling the story so I will just write that this is really outstanding plot, full on mystery and the events that took place got me following the story line flawlessly. I was almost sure I knew where this story was heading. But the events of the last chapter… Oh my, my! I hate cliffhangers but this one is exquisite, it’s brilliant. I’m still reeling from the shock it caused even if I finished book a good week ago. Can’t wait for the next parts and I don’t know how i will survive waiting for each book to be released till the final conclusion. But I’m in for the long run.
That was my first book of this author and I have to say I’ve completely fallen in love with the writing style, with the easiness of character development and how intriguing and complicated plot was. I need more!

Zeke nearly died only he was saved by a siren who was there to rescue him from the sea, then it was his turn to save her. After he recovered from his injuries Zeke went to work for the man who paid doctors who made him well again. Julian was a man who made his money off the backs of others. He was paranoid that nothing illegal could be traced back to him and he was up to his neck in illegal activites. Zeke became his right hand man and spokesman for his new boss. When Julian started selling women to the highest bidder it was a job that Zeke hated but did because he owed him. Then he sees the woman who saved him go up for sale and he buys her for himself. This book was so twisted I could not believe the ending. If you enjoyed the last series by this author you will certainly enjoy this new spin off series. It had me addicted from the moment I started reading and now the waiting for the next book will surely drive me batty.

This is another great, smoking hot story by Ms. Miles, It was professionally written and fast-paced. At the beginning of the story the setting is so vivid that you can feel the dampness of the sea against your skin. This book has a lot of emotions coming from both the two main characters, Siren and Zeke, so much so that you feel like you are right there with them. I practically inhaled and devoured this book and can’t wait until the next book in this series to come out.

I enjoyed the twisted dark suspenseful read. What a cliffhanger! Was not expecting that twist at the end. Can’t wait for the next book.

Ella Miles has written a book that will leave you a cliffhanger, twists, and turns and a betrayal that you would never think was even possible. Zeke thinks he is going to die out in the middle of the ocean because he was shot and got pushed overboard in a storm. Siren pulls him out and gets him to land where she has someone there who can help him. Now Zeke thinks he owes Julian. Zeke works for Julian and all he wants is to get off the island and away from Julian. Julian pulls Zeke into part of his business that Zeke wants no part of but as he is out checking on something, Zeke sees Siren and she is in trouble. Zeke thinks of a way to save her and when he does she is not happy about it. Zeke starts to have feelings for Siren but he does nothing about them. He knows that Siren is scared of Julian and he tries to keep her away from him, at one point he can’t and she gets hurt.
Can Zeke forgive himself for allowing Siren to get hurt and have a chance with her?
Will Siren feel safe again with Zeke or will the past keep them apart?
This was a great read but will leave you with a cliffhanger and a betrayal that you did not see coming.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

This is why I read Ella Miles she is brilliant with creating these dark twisted criminal villainous worlds that you can’t help falling in love with and she will have you rooting for the MMC and MFC before she’s through! I loved this start and that ending what a twist ! This ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what Ella Miles has in store for us ! Alls I’m going to say is GO BUY THIS BOOK AND START THIS SERIES NOW !!!
