The moment I saw her, I wanted her.
I tried to resist her, but Race had other plans.
One night, in a moment of weakness, I gave in to my desires.
I still had a job to do before her world collapsed.
If I failed at finding the person behind the threats, I could lose her forever.
Temptation can be dangerous.

“I’d just have to find a way to break it to my ma. Leaving her behind was something she’d throw in my face for the rest of my life. She’d probably fall at my feet or hang on to my bumper as I drove out of the city, screaming for me not to leave her.”
“I’d like to think I was pretty levelheaded, but right now images of Texas Chainsaw Massacre kept playing over and over again inside my head.”

My Review:
I loves me some Chelle Bliss and Sinful Intent is one of her best… not that I’ve ever read anything from her that wasn’t stellar. Her long-time and faithful Men of Ink fans will love this new series as we get to continue on with the Gallo clan – a vibrant set of characters I want to follow until I take my dirt nap. But this series will be easy for new fans to pick up and run with without having read her previous works – but why not read them anyway? With Sinful Intent we meet a Gallo cousin Morgan. Morgan DeLuca’s life has turned a corner, new career, new town, new home, new attitude, and with his first official case – a new woman.
Chelle Bliss definitely has the writing gene, her books are well plotted, easy to follow, humorous, thoughtful, unfailingly entertaining, deliciously steamy, and they make this old cougar hum. I alternate between gasping, smirking, and gulping cool drink when reading her work. Given her creative sensual scenes, I believe Mr. Bliss must be a very lucky man, or is he the one providing her with these creative ideas? Hmm, either way, I imagine their neighborhood frequently registers seismic activity.
Absolutely loved this story and the way it intertwined with the Men of Inked Series. Morgan was just absolutely sexy. Race was a force to be reckoned with. Put them together and they are unbeatable.
Hotness in every page!
Sexy, fun, sweet, full of family and friends very good read
I really enjoyed this book. As with life, things don’t go like a normal romantic novel life. Race was taken, hurt, and scarred. But life and love went on between them. With this author, come on kids, mama knows best.
As I started reading this book an overwhelming feeling of protectiveness came over me from the description of Morgan DeLuca. He and Joe Gallo are cousins and where one went you’d find the other. In their youth they were a couple of smart mouthed street kids who had a knack of getting into trouble. So much so the Gallos decided they needed to move their family out of Chicago to get their son away from the kids who were headed for bigger trouble. Morgan didn’t learn and had fallen into further trouble until after his arrest the judge gave him a choice of jail or army. Morgan took the army. By the end of the first chapter I realized Morgan had grown into a responsible man who had learned many lessons in his years away from family and friends and I began to have a soft spot in my heart for him. Race True has a personality almost as bold as Izzy Gallo on the outside. She’s had to learn to be tough as nails in the corporate world but there’s someone out there who can break and they aren’t playing around. This was a wonderful storyline with characters that meld and flow through the storyline. I’m anxiously awaiting the start of the next book in the series.
This book was very good. Haven’t read a book written like this in a long time. It kept your interest and had you wanting more.
After 8 years in the military Morgan DeLuca is back home in Chicago and at a crossroads. He doesn’t know what to do with his life.
He’s tired of the cold weather and his mother’s nagging, but one trip to Izzy and James’ wedding and visiting with his extended family in sunny Florida could be just what he needs.
Race True is a hard working woman, she pushes herself at work to be the best she can be, sacrificing friendships and relationships along the way. She literally has no life outside of work, but someone has some dirt on her that could ruin her career, everything she’s worked so hard for.
She hires ALFA PI and Morgan is given her case. He wants to help her but can’t deny his attraction to her. Sparks fly for both of them while he tries to stay focused on solving her case before her career is ruined.
First I adore this new series, I really had no doubt but there was that tiny voice in the back of my head saying it’s not a Gallo book!! But it kinda is, the entire Gallo family is in the story, James and Thomas are Morgan’s bosses so there’s plenty of Gallo throughout this book while still focusing on Morgan and Race.
If you enjoyed the Gallo’s then ALFA PI is another series you cannot do without. I have no doubt this series is going to give a few of the Gallo men a run for their money!
Race is strong, determined and extremely hard on the outside and what she shows to the world, but on the inside she is vulnerable and desperately lonely. She misses her dad and has no friends, plus she is being blackmailed. Morgan’s first job is to protect her and investigate. This book is angsty, these two really spark in more than one way, it is also loving. Race ends up with way more than she expects from hiring the team, Morgan ends up with dreams fulfilled. Suspense and some violence, keep the story edgy and a little dark but I really enjoyed the humorous side as well. Nothing ever goes completely smoothly though so expect the unexpected. Morgan De Luuca joins the family PI business and his first client is a woman that he can’t forget. Will his interest in her affect his future with the PI firm, or will his protectiveness protect her from danger. This book is good but is written for mature audiences.
Alpha hero + alpha heroine = scorching explosion!
It feels like forever since I last read this family (Anthony and Max were my last one), and I hadn’t realized how much I missed this author’s writing.
I love her characters, their heat and passion, their strong and stubborn personalities, how they fight for what they want and what they think is the right thing. How loyal, devoted and close to the family they are.
This book had it all: fun, suspense, intrigue, heat, family banter, nosiness from relatives, but also loyalty, caring and so much love.
Morgan and Race brought all of that again and so much more. They were explosive together, trying to fight their attraction but failing beautifully.
Some things are not meant to be fought against. And when they realized that, they just surrendered and embraced all the love they felt and the promises of a brighter future.
I loved it and I crave for more. Next stop: Unlawful Desire!
Steamy
Kind of dragged at the end, but I totally loved the beginning until maybe 3/4 of the way in. Still a good quick read!
Sexy romantic great characters intense I liked it
I enjoyed the book. The plot was good. It held my attention.
I enjoyed this story – but I have yet to read a story by Chelle I don’t enjoy.
The name, Race True, was a little silly, but the story between Morgan and Race was DEFINITELY not.
I jumped right into this book and loved the story and characters, including the little cameos from the Men of Inked series.
Definitely would suggest this to any of my friends!!
This is an enjoyable read. The story has mystery and intrigue, along with Ms. Bliss’ signature steam. If you enjoy romance, intrigue and hot steam, this is a good choice.
Neither one of them were the warm and fuzzy type. They were jerks, they knew it and everyone else did too. What they didn’t expect was their love to change everything. This author brings us two unlikable characters that are thrown into each other by a case and against all odds come together as one. A whole lot of action and mayhem follow these two and it isn’t all related to the case. The family is hilarious and loads of fun especially the mother.
I love the way this book came together and the author that made it happen. Wonderful read.
I really enjoyed this author and this book. even though you may know how it’s going to end, it was nice reading it get to that point. I enjoyed the characters, even Bear. the characters had Character!
I’d prefer a bit more story and less sex.
