This steamy enemies to lovers story is full of white-hot romance: drunken Vegas weddings, heated words that turn into seductive whispers, and a love that blooms in the most unexpected place…To love, honor, and disobey.I didn’t mean to marry Luca Leone one drunken night. He may be the hottest guy I know, but he’s still a total jerk. His sly smile, his massive height, and his muscular body just … and his muscular body just don’t make up for how cruel he can be.

Stay married for two months, just until his ex’s wedding.
And he offers something I really need: ten thousand dollars to save my family home.
The only issue is that I’m forced to spend time with him, at his house and at his bar, often late into the night.
Soon our feisty arguments turn into the hottest hookups of my life.
I can’t resist him. Once I get past his prickly exterior, Luca is just plain smoking hot.
We are both hung up on our mutual pasts, not ready for the flame growing between us.

Part enemies to lovers part best friend’s brother, Luca and Cate had a lot of starts and stops in their relationship. Every time I thought they were moving forward, another obstacle popped up to set the relationship back; I was yelling at the screen, waiting for them to get past their issues and be together. I really enjoyed the growth Luca showed as his feelings for Cate changed and he became the support system Cate needed. I also thought the secondary characters of Luna, Harper, Owen, and Bradford were interesting and would love to see them again in future books.
Vivian Wood has a way of using her words that cultivate into amazing books and Married To My Enemy is a prefect example. While in Vegas to celebrate her BFF Luna birthday with all expenses paid for by Luna’s brother Luca the unbelievable happens. Cate gets married to Luca in a wild night of drinking and crazy shenanigans……now just so you know these two do not I mean do not get along. They fight like an old married couple. I guess they will be doing it like pros now . Take this journey with these two as they navigate thru being married and all the drama that follows them. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
This was a great enemies to lovers story and I loved Cate which is rare for me cause the heroines usually annoy me but no matter how atrocious the hero is I like him lol. Luca was beyond arrogant but all he really wanted was someone to see him, the real him but little does he know that is Cate. After one drunken night leads to a proposition she can’t really refuse these two get much more then they bargained for
What a great story! This is a fun, flirty, and sexy enemies to lovers story that encapsulates the very essence of romance. I love Cate DeRose and Luca Leone’s story. Cate is going to Vegas to celebrate her best friend’s (Luna Leone) birthday—sponsored by Luna’s older brother, Luca, who is Cate’s enemy and someone she detests. Luca is very handsome, tall, charming, moody, possessive, arrogant, commanding, and a dirty-talker. Cate has known Luna and Luca for nine years, and Cate and Luca have always hated each other. Cate being a devout Catholic, she does not drink that much and go to parties because of a terrible tragedy that happened. As the cliché goes—what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Right! Well, we all know there is more to the story—specifically, Cate and Luca in Vegas!! As careful and straight as Cate is things can’t possibly go askew, could they? But after a night of celebrating leads to waking up in the bed/floor with her enemy—not possible, definitely not possible!! Guess what—she is married to Luca of all people. Is this a dream or a prank? How will this mishap affect Cate or Luca? Will the marriage be annulled? Their chemistry is potent and the sex is off-the-chart hot! Read what really happened in Vegas—what a conundrum!!
What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas…right? Not so much with this book. Luca & Cate have known each other for years. Cate’s best friend who happens to be Luca’s sister is what brought them all to Vegas. When Cate & Luca end up married & can’t get it annulled as quickly as they wish, Luca comes up with an idea. They both can’t stand each other so can they pull this off? I loved the whole story & how everything plays out. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it.
I loved this book so much. I was hooked from the moment I started reading it. Cate and Luca are amazing. They definitely own the saying “There is a thin line between love and hate.”
One drunken night changes everything. Cate and Luca couldn’t be more opposite but that is what makes them so unique.
Cate is a Catholic girl who dresses conservative and has gone through so much that is scared to open up her heart.
Luca is the rich boy who always had everything except one thing, love.
They both have known each other for years because Cate is best friend with Luna (luca’s sister). Since the day they met they have been enemies. They dislike each other and always find something to argue about.
Luca has a proposition for Cate and will that change everything?
Vivian Wood is an amazing writer and I can’t wait for the next book.
Luca and Cate have known each other since childhood but they aren’t friends. Cate is best friends with Luca’s sister Luna. The two end up drunk and in bed together after Luna’s birthday party in Vegas. They also end up married and Luca offers to pay Cate ten thousand dollars to stay married for two months. He wants his ex to see him married and supposedly happy. Trouble is the two are attracted to each other despite being enemies. A good enemies to lovers read with plenty of steam and witty banter to go around.
This is a steamy, enemies to lovers romance between Cate and Luca. Their chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. These two very different but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. What starts out as a drunken wedding turns into something more. It was quite refreshing to read the push and pull and ups and downs in their relationship. It is a slow burn love story with drama and excitement, along with passion and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Overall, it is a solid read with a good dose of heart, heat, and a happy ending.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Cate and Luca hate each other. You know what they say about first impressions and Luca made a terrible one. He said something to Cate and they’ve been at each other’s throats ever since. Luca is Cate’s best friend Luna’s older brother. Now you’re throwing in a trip to Vegas for Luna’s birthday and some alcohol and what do you get? A night you don’t remember. Oh and waking up in bed with your mortal enemy married. Cate doesn’t believe in divorce and an annulment will take some time. Luca wants a wife until his exe’s wedding. So he offers Cate something that she needs. So now they have to play pretend. Can they make it work without killing each other first or will feelings get involved? Great story. Lots of chemistry. Recommended read.
I received a advanced readers copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review
I was hooked from the beginning.
Cate and Luca’s banter was so much fun to read. The banter was fun but the chemistry between these two was off the charts hot.
With all this though can these two get past their pasts?
Overall like all of Vivian Wood’s books this was amazing and I can’t wait for what she comes up with next.
You will fall in love with this story about enemies/friends who become lovers. The romance between Luca and Cate is one filled with steamy, sexy moments. After spending a drunken night together in Vegas things are about to change for both of them. They are always fighting and at times can’t stand one another but when Luca makes Cate an offer to help him, will she give in knowning in doing so, this will help save her family home? Now these two will have to coexist together as a married couple but with each fight they have, the uncontrollable emotions that are developing between them is getting hard to resist. Will they be able to keep their distance or will they give into the passion that surrounds them and forget about past heartaches? This is a fast paced story that will hold your interest from beginning to end as you follow this sexy couple and the love that develops between them. Vivian Wood has done an amazing job telling this story about enemies becoming lovers. I voluntairly reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Luca and Cate have known each other for years. She is best friends with his sister. It is a classic poor girl, rich guy story. They each feel like they hate each other. One crazy night, they end up married. The story continues because he wants her to help make his ex jealous. Their romance takes steps forward, then they falter back due to miscommunication. They are very much compatible physically. Emotionally, they both have issues. Some of the issues were annoying. The constant arguing was not something I enjoyed reading in a romance story. It made it sound like all they had was great sex. All and all an ok story.
What happens when you wake up married to your enemy? Most people would head for the lawyer but Luca asks Cate to stay married until his ex gets married. Cate needs the money he offers so she agrees. That is just the start of this wild ride between two people who think they hate each other but after living together, they realize the other is not what they thought. There were times I wanted to smack Luca and I even cried with Cate. This story shows that first impressions may not always be correct because we may project our on issues onto someone else’s situation. Vivian’s characters (as always) have so much depth and the story moved along so fluidly that you just have to keep reading. This is definitely a great read!
When loves stumbles in you definitely don’t ignore it because it will find its way no matter how you try to deny it, it’ll make its mark and leave you feeling empty till you embrace it in all its magnificent glory!
No ones knows this to be more true than Luca! He didn’t expect to fall for the girl who has bothered him for years and Cate didn’t expect there to be a beating heart inside the cold, broody man, but when one drunken night leads to “I do” these two find themselves trying to remember why they hate each other as they peel away the layers of hate!
Cate is Luca’s opposite in every way and as he tries to find more reasons to find her insufferable he discovers all the reasons she’s his equal in every way! As Cate let’s down her walls and allows Luca in she discovers he’s not the cold bastard she always thought he was! Their love takes time but as the time grows so does their friendship and do does their bond! When both are ready to finally feel the love that’s there waiting for the taking an old demon finds her way in and it might just be their undoing if they don’t keep the faith that their love is real!
I loved the resilience that both these characters had! They had both faced loss and heavy heartbreak but they kept on keeping on and though jades by life they still found ways to shine and keep strong! I loved how they complimented one another and how they allowed the other to grow!
Amazing writing and very fresh original take on an enemies to lovers story that I think most it not all will love!
Enjoyable book SPOILERS AHEAD
Cate is an orphan who avoids love. Her best friend Luna has a brother, Luca, and they hate each other for what I think are silly reasons. Luca takes Luna and Cate to Vegas for her birthday and shockingly they end up married during a drunken night.
Cate won’t get a divorce because of her religion so they agree to an annulment after they attend Luca’s ex fiancé’s wedding. Of course they fall in love.
It was sweet although Luca was a bit overbearing. Looking forward to Luna’s story in the next book.
I absolutely loved every second of Married To My Enemy. What started out as a fun birthday bash for Luna in Las Vegas turned into so much more for Cate and Luca. The push and pull, the bantering, all the emotions you could feel. Every laugh, every heartache and all the confusion Cate and Luca felt. Boy did I wanna smack them both at different times, yet I was rooting so hard for them. Entertaining, fun and sexy read with strong and wonderful characters. I highly recommend this and I’m ready to see what went down with Luna next!
I absolutely loved this!! Luca and Cate are absolutely perfect for each other. Cate is best friends with his sister Luna. Ever since Cate and Luca met the have always hated each other. They get along as well as oil and water. While in Vegas for his sister’s birthday, they get very drunk and wake up the next day married. This is when the hilarity ensues. The back and forth between these two had me laughing. There are also times when I wanted to shake them and ask them WTHeck. These two have amazingly hot chemistry and over time their connection to each other becomes strong. The one thing these two need to do is communicate their feelings, but the hurt that they both have dealt with, holds them back. Will these two be able to put their pasts behind them and have a real relationship instead of a fake marriage? I loved this story and the characters are fantastic. I loved their friends and hope, that besides Luna’s story, the rest get their own stories also.
Another fun and entertaining story from Vivian Wood. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope so when I saw the title of this book I knew I just had to read it and oh boy… it was a crazy ride.
“I don’t know whether I want to kiss his lips or slap his face.”
Married to my Enemy starts off with a bang. Cate and Luca have known each other for nine years and can’t stand one another. They are constantly bickering and she is fairly convinced that he is a major bully and her greatest enemy. But things are about to change when they go to Vegas to celebrate Luna’s birthday, who is Cate’s best friend and Luca’s sister. Things become complicated when Cate and Luca get married after drinking and partying too much. Neither seems to recall how it happened and they agree that the best thing to do is to get an annulment. It seemed fairly simple until Luca’s ex-fiancee invites him to her wedding and he convinces Cate to postpone the annulment and live with him for two months and go to this event together.
“I hate him. So why does seeing his grin lights me up on the inside?”
The banter and built-up tension between the protagonists were priceless. I loved every interaction between them. One moment they were arguing the other they were all over each other. Their relationship may have started the wrong way but they were perfect for each other in the end. The chemistry was off the charts but there were also serious moments that added character to the story.
Hot, dramatic and with characters who explode off the page, this book got me hooked until the last word. I loved the ending even though I would have liked to see more into Cate and Luca’s future but I’m hoping we’ll get to see them again because Luna’s story is coming up next and I got a feeling it’s going to be a blast.
I voluntarily read this book for an honest review.
What happens when a trip to Vegas with your best friend and her brother turns your life upside down. They never meant to get married but thats what they did, Cate and Luca now have to figure out how to deal with the problem. When Luca finds his ex is getting married he proposes a deal with Cate ,stay married till after his ex’s wedding and he will make it worth her while and get the divorce they want. What if one or both of them don’t want it,what if they both find their happiness with each other.
** spoiler alert ** I have read multiple books by Vivian Wood and I usually love her books and she deserved all of the 5 stars that I have given her. However, I can’t give Married to My Enemy 5 stars. I give this book 3 stars . I am a person who pays attention to detail and while other people can over look simple things I can’t and to me it makes it feel like the book was rushed to get published. That being said, Cate is best friends with Luca’s little sister and they have known each other for years. Luca has hated Cate because when he first met her she was giving her mom an attitude like most teenage girls do and was nothing but a condescending jerk to her because he felt like she should just be thankful her mom cares about her when his own mom didn’t care about him. They get drunk in Vegas and get married. Luca tries to get in annulled but there is a waiting time so in the mean time he convinces Cate to help him stick it to his ex and for her to move it just in case his ex stops by. Cate then demands her cat is allowed to come. Even though it was a big deal that the cat be allowed to come there isn’t any mention of this cat for the rest of the book so not sure what the point was. Now, Cate is a devote Catholic and her and Luca have sex twice and then spend a weekend doing nothing but having sex and all of a sudden at the end of the weekend Luca goes wait let me grab a condom even though one has never been mentioned and Cate states if your clean then don’t worry I have an IUD. Now, here I was thinking a devote Catholic girl possibly not on birth control no condom mentioned boom surprise pregnancy. Nope nothing……. Honestly these two bickered about stupid things like high schoolers and here they are suppose to be adults in their 20s. Not one of my favorites!
