The Mount Trilogy concludes with Sinful Empire! What’s mine, I keep, and that includes Keira Kilgore. It’s no longer enough to have her in my debt. No longer enough to own her body.I want something more. She can try to resist, but I’ll never give her up.Nothing will keep us apart. Not her. Not my enemies. No one.Her debt will only be paid one way – with her heart.
I can’t stop thinking about the final book of the Anti-hero trilogy. Fantastic is merely a word and does nothing to describe this trilogy! I wish I had read it sooner! Don’t wait. JUMP IN NOW!

Nice ending to the Trilogy!
I tend to think that the ending to a Trilogy is not always the best out of the three books. I always love the meeting between the two main characters in a romance and especially when it is a series or a Trilogy because they are almost never just friendly at the beginning.
There is always some sort of complex relationship that has to develop in the first book which is what generally makes the first book so good, especially if it is something you want to read further. The interactions between Mount and Keira kept me interested all through Ruthless King.
Then the second book generally has a lot more romance and action which is what I really enjoyed in Defiant Queen. There were multiple storylines and the romance was still developing and steamy. It kept me on my toes and I wanted more. The cliffhanger was awesome as well.
I genuinely liked this book. Though I do think that sometimes the cliffhanger’s get resolved too quickly and then the books get sappy a bit too soon trying to wrap up the Happily Ever After. I don’t think that happened in this one. Lachlan Mount isn’t your average man. He isn’t the King of New Orleans by accident. He does what needs to be done. He is much tougher than I expected. I like it!
Though I still like the first two books more and in the end it does get a bit lovey lovey dovey as well as hot and steamy for the HEA wrap-up. As romance readers we expect all that and many readers would be haters without it. Probably me included. Overall this was an amazing series but since I like this book a bit less than the other two, I will give this one four stars since I gave the others five stars. Though overall the Trilogy gets 5 stars.
The King gains a Queen….
I can’t breathe, what a rush!! This trilogy of awesomeness had me flying through these books like hellfire. Keira and Mount make one hell of a power couple. They are deadly potent as a team. The conclusion to this series was raw, dangerous and sexy as sin.
Discovering Mount’s inner demons and sharing them with his Queen Keira were heartbreaking. I am sorry that I have to let them go, I want to read more about this couple. It is so hard to resist a bad boy who’s a good man. Bravo Meghan March.
Wow what a wonderful third book. I’m glad everything worked out for Lachlan and Mount. This story had a great storyline and well written. I truly enjoyed all three books.
This is the final book in the Mount Trilogy and I was so sad to see this end. These two characters buried themselves so deep under my skin that once I had closed the page it was hard to walk away from them. This final book to their story had twists and turns that you will never see coming, it will leave you with your mouth hanging wide open going what the hell. Keira and Mount will give you their all this time, their will be no holding back, no secrets left and all the words that will need to be said will be shouted for the world to hear. The Defiant Queen will finally recognize her strength and the Ruthless King will realize that she will never be his weakness. Sinful Empire left you emotionally drained but in such a good way. This final piece to the puzzle is nail biting, action packed, drama filled, oozing with love, protection, vengeance and the chemistry and passion will light up the pages like the fourth of July.
I’m not sure I can muster up the words enough to write this review this way it should be written. First off, I know this author planned on one book for Mount and then once she started writing she knew that I wouldn’t do it justice. So thank you for following your gut instinct because you have given us exactly what we needed .
The surprises that were in this book had my head flipping around in circles. I can’t tell you how many times I said WTF? You’ve got to be kidding me? No way!!! I love that in a book when you think you know and then nope the rug gets pulled out from under you.
As with all my reviews I don’t want to give anything away. However, I do want to say I read all 3 books in 24 hours and while I’ll admit it killed my soul to do it. I’d do it again tomorrow because I knew this series was going to be that good. In my opinion this book is a GRAND SLAM!!!!
Lord! I swear this trilogy has owned me. Meghan March pretty much stamped a “property of” tattoo on my behind the minute she introduced Lachlan Mount in her Beneath series because this trilogy has been nothing short of phenomenal. I can honestly say this series is the best thing she has written. It is SEXY and shocking af but also emotional and high on the adrenaline rushes and WTF endings. It was fantastic and everything you would want in a novel and the perfect conclusion to their story.
Since spoilers are pretty much nonexistent in my reviews, just know this trilogy can be summed up in short as a Journey. The journey of Lachlan Mount and Keira Kilgore and how their story began to how ultimately their lives intertwined and they became who they are to each other.
After the shocking ending of Defiant Queen, Sinful Empire opens up minutes later with Mount and Keira dealing with the immediate ramifications and consequences of what happened. This book was very very high on drama and action but still heavy on not only the HOT chemistry between Mount and Keira but their burgeoning emotional connection. One thing I loved besides their SIZZLING sexy times and hot af banter – the fact that March did not change the true nature and personalities of Mount and Keira at all. They stayed true to themselves throughout the series. Yes, their priorities and emotions might have shifted and changed but at the end of the day Mount is and continues to be the most feared man in New Orleans and Keira is still the woman who is his exception and the only person to bring him to his knees.
I loved this series and my heart hurts in a way because it’s over. I wished away my Summer for book one and I’m already wishing away my days until I can get my hands on Temperance’s story in Savage Prince. Bravo Ms. March! This novel and the series as a whole was one of the best things I have ever read. Bravo! 5 (million) stars!! ~Ratula
Sinful Empire by the incredible talented and outstanding author Meghan March is the third book in the Mount Trilogy and the highly anticipated and epic conclusion to Keira and Mount’s story.
Sinful Empire is not a standalone. I strongly recommend to read the previous books, Ruthless King and Defiant Queen , first.
Sinful Empire picks up where Defiant Queen left off. I started reading and was hooked from the first page. I read the book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what happens to the characters, will Mount keep Keira Kilgore or will she be free of the debt without giving her heart and body to him?
I will not spoiler here, only so much,This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I’ve smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Meghan March has accomplished just that. I love the story, the characters and the words. I can’t say how much. I recommend the book and the series and give 5 stars. Thank you, Meghan March !
LOVED!! This was such a great way to wrap up the Mount trilogy! I loved seeing how Mount and Keira came full circle and really how Mount changed from being this powerful ruler in a sense to a more humanized version of that as a result of his relationship with Keira. I also love the two of them together. Talk about a power couple! Lots of surprises in this one with a great ending. Absolutely loved these characters and I was sad to say goodbye to them. Another home run by Meghan March!
Fun read. Super sexy with characters you love!
I love MM’s writing, and this is in my top 5 series of hers. The hero is dark and flawed, but deeply complex and sincere in his feelings. And the sex scenes are among the hottest I’ve ever read, and made me think about trying out some new things…
I really loved this book. i was hooks from the first page, the charaters are complex. And its a little steamy too.
Some Surprises But Nearly Dying Changes Everything!!
3.5 Stars
Sinful Empire (Mount Trilogy #3)
Keira & Lachlan reach a new understanding that has far reaching consequences. Some they find out about after the fact! This had a couple of surprises I didn’t see coming and I really like being caught off guard by an Author.
To be clear, I did definitely enjoy this Trilogy I just can’t get past the pricing! Because it *wasn’t* anything outstanding or new & it lacked a lot of character description. I definitely wouldn’t class it up there with the likes of Blair Babylon or Julia Kent & they charge similar prices for much better content & a lot longer duets/trilogies/series!! These books ARE only Novella length. I wouldn’t have read book #1 & been hooked by those cliffhanger endings if I’d known the prices & book lengths before hand!! I wish I’d read the reviews & not just downloaded a free read that cost me £9.98 in the end! #Idiot
What disappointed me the most about the last two books is that the nervousness, fear & tension was completely lacking in them. The storylines failed to capture it in another way like her fear of Mount had in book #1!! If one of those surprises had been utilized throughout as a quiet, deadly & unknown threat that could have worked, possibly?? An opportunity missed I think. The steam factor was a lot lower in this book, there was only a few scenes, one was very hot though. I did really like Keira’s growth & them as a true couple!!
If money is no object to you then this trilogy is 12 hrs of lovely escapism.
If it is, I’d honestly go elsewhere. I would read more by this Author if it was in KU or was £0.99-2.99. I feel terrible saying that as this money is their living but when you’re struggling yourself you want the most & best quality for your pennies, for me this isn’t it. I’m sorry!

His life changes from black/white/gold. Only because of Keira. They make it through the auto accident and Mount being shot. What will happen after the next accident when Keira is hurt and best friend in a coma. Mount has found his purpose and how to love.
Loved it couldn’t put it down Read the complete series one after the other.
Great steamy haunting story.
The finale to the story of Mount and Kiera. Meghan March, takes this story to the next level
above and beyond what you can imagine. I could hardly believe the twists and turns this last
book took. I love the setting of her New Orleans books and look forward to her next trilogy
I don’t know how she can beat this one.
This is Book 3 of The Mount Trilogy (The Anti-Heroes Collection)
This is the third part of the story of Mount & Keira. Everything changes in this book between Mount and Keira. She is a force to be reckoned with, just as Mount is. They join forces in this story. Keira is worthy of being his Queen, standing next to her King. Lots of action takes place in this story, as well as a happy ending. I can’t express how much I love Mount and Keira. This series is outstanding, to say the least. If I could give it over five stars I would. Kudos to Meghan March on another great series.
“You were playing chess with my life, and I didn’t even know I was on the board.”
This last book of the series goes a little darker…deeper into a serious illness many suffer with yet get little attention until it’s too late. But the signs were there…sometimes well hidden and sometimes it is hiding in plain sight. I love how Meghan weaves this into the conclusion of this series.
“You’ve never been a pawn. You’ve been the queen from day one. The most powerful piece on the whole *f’n* board.”
Sometimes the strongest people have weaknesses…as well as those who think they are weak have more strength than they realize. Sometimes it takes someone else to believe in you to bring out your confidence and give you that push to take a leap. Take charge of your destiny and dreams.
How is it that the ones we think we know the best are sometimes the ones we truly know the least?
“”Thank you,” she says. “For what?” “For always giving me exactly what I need, even when I don’t realize I need it.””
This is the conclusion of the Mount trilogy. It shows how hearts can meld and
minds can change. You will enjoy every line of this trilogy.
