This book is part two of a series. It is recommended you first read book one, Sin with Me. You’ve heard her story. Now, here’s mine. Who knew the destruction of a bullet followed by the voice of an angel would change everything? I was broken when Makenna appeared out of nowhere, offering to put me back together. That night, I lost my soul but found my heart. Little did I know, I’d spend the next … Little did I know, I’d spend the next seven years doing what I vowed I never would. But it has to be this way. It’s the only way to keep her safe. The sins of the father passed down to the son.
I watch Makenna, but always from the shadows. I protect her from dangers she’ll never know. And I love her, but only from a distance. Until finally, she finds a way in. Until the angel falls in love with the devil. Then all hell breaks loose…

Through Sin With me we here the story from Makenna’s view but in Sin with Me Penance we here from Cal’s perspective.
We learn what he went through when his mother died. The battle that he has with his feelings for Makenna and keeping her safe.
Even after the tragedy that Makenna goes through he still tries to stay away not wanting to risk that he can’t keep her safe the way his father couldn’t keep his mother safe. Only after he’s father sees how much he loves Makenna and says it wouldn’t hurt to try does Cal realises that he should show her how he feels. Although they have their ups and downs you see that Cal’s only priority is to keep Makenna safe no matter what it takes.
Although Sin with Me finished with a HEA I loved how this finished further in the timeline of their story.
This is the second book in the Sin with Me Series and I absolutely loved it! I loved Callisto and this book tells the story in his POV and I loved reading Cal’s side of the story. I fell more in love with Cal in this story. I loved the chemistry between Makenna and Cal and from the first page I was pulled into their story. Makenna and Cal’s story was an emotional rollercoaster ride and one I highly recommend.
I loved reading Callisto’s point of view in this book!!!! I felt like this was definitely needed!!!! Thank you Delaney Foster for giving us what we all wanted and needed!!! Five stars just IS NOT ENOUGH!!!
I loved this book! This is the second book in the series, but you’ll want to read the first book before diving in.
Sin With Me: Penance, is told from Callisto’s POV. It was such a treat to be able to peak behind the curtain, and understand more to this mysterious, enigmatic man we met in book one. Cal is strong, has such a good heart, and is just as sexy, if not more so. The interactions between, and around, him and Makenna, felt like more, having both sides of the story. Check this one out, if you want a peak inside at what makes him tick. I highly recommend.
In this story you get to learn more about Cal and his story and hear from his point of view. It made the story whole to read his part
Just as gripping and intense as book one, my heart ached for Cal, he was such a good guy despite his job. He loved so deep but protected with everything he had inside, determined that Makenna would be happy even if at first it wasn’t with himself. An emotional roller coaster of a read and I spent most of it with a lump in my throat. There is suspense, drama and some violence as pertains to the plot but mostly this is about second chances and love, one that is worth waiting for. I am very thankful for the gift of this story and am really happy to reccomend this to anyone that likes a slightly dark edgy story with a HEA. Some readers might think. But haven’t we already read this story ? Well yes to some degree is the answer but there is so much more, this is Cal’s point of view. It’s his life and what happened from the very beginning, why he behaved / reacted / said what he did. It fills in the blanks and gaps and explains his darkness and pain, don’t skip it because it isn’t the same story at all….
This book was Callisto’s story. Who knew you could love someone that long? And yet he stayed in the shadows, watching, waiting and protecting. He may see himself as dark and broken…..but he really isn’t. He’s perfect, his dark to her light
McKenna made a reference to the darkness letting the light in, she couldn’t have been more right. Without darkness there is no light and vice versa. They compliment and belong together
Cal’s point of view, in Penance, is just as hot and emotional as Sin With Me. Maybe more so, since he had to grow up really fast and knows the dangers they can find themselves in but sometimes love wants it way and good golly did it get it. Loved it
I absolutely loved Sin with Me part 1. When I saw Penance: Sin with Me part 2 was the story told from Cal’s POV I thought to myself, there is no way this book could top Part 1 (which was told from Makenna’s POV). OMG did the author ever shock me. Cal’s story is one of power, determination, vengeance, need, lust and want (I mean what more could a reader ask for). Cal never wanted to be a part of his father/family’s world. But the day he is forced to watch helplessly as his world as he’s known it crashes around him because his father is who he is, Cal’s fate is sealed. Never again will he feel helpless. Cal becomes what he was always destined to be in the Suppato Family, he becomes what people fear in the dark. The one spark of light in his life is the Angel (Makenna) that asked him if he was ok on that fateful night. An Angel that he will never forget and can never let into his world. But he can watch over her and make sure she is safe.
This is a powerfully written storyline that made me fall in love with Cal even more that book 1 did. The author let us see into Cal’s heart and soul. I felt his torment, heartbreak and all encompassing need to keep Makenna safe. I saw Cal’s growth, maturity, and power as his life unfolded before my very eyes.
The story from Cal’s POV is thrilling, exciting and a total must read (However I STRONGLY suggest reading Sin With Me #1 first). This duet is simply stunning. One of the best duets I have read in several years. Kudos to the author for a phenomenal read. 2 thumbs up and 5 outstanding stars for Penance, book 2 of what I feel is a 10+ star duet.
Cals view brings you full circle. How he loves, fears, and wants her is a breathtaking experience for the reader. Amazingly written Cal is what we woman dream of
This was a needed follow up to Sin with Me, which was McKenna’s story. I like how this shows Cal’s backstory and how he changes over time, including his relationship with his dad. I would recommend reading this after Sin with Me since there are things that happen in that book that have a huge emotional toll but is brought up in this story.
Cal learns he can be, is, and becomes tough one fateful night home from college. He protects Makenna from the shadows for years. I loved learning more about Cal. Theirs is an amazing story, from both perspectives.
