It is always difficult to read the final book of a series. Especially one that was truly amazing. Ms. Breene created a world like no other. Filled with characters I immediately fell in love with and also have a hard time saying goodbye to. I don’t think I can say anything other than it was an epic way to end it. This will be one of my all time favs. The Magical Summit brought more surprises than expected. The twists and turns throughout kept both the group and readers on edge. To say I loved it would not quite be enough. Lexi, Kieran and the Team really had to prove themselves amongst the other Demigods. They are trained and ready, but some things you just don’t see coming. No spoilers here, you have to read it. This is one of the only series that I have been able to laugh, cry, scream and still smile in each chapter. Action, humor, suspense, mystery and romance. The love of family, blood or not, will always win. This is my honest opinion of an advanced copy I received. This series is one I will re-read many times.
Wow! I enjoyed this exciting, amazing, page turning and action packed story. This is the last book in the series and a definite must read. They go to the Magical Summit, where they will be challenged, rely on each other as they fight to survive, see if Lexi’s mark from Kieran will be accepted, and hope to gain allies and status. Who will live and who will not? The characters are unique and I love the interactions between Kieran and Lexi’s crew! I love Lexi and when she feels threatened, stunning chaos develops and she always leaves a lasting impression on those who challenge her, her kids, Kieran or the crew! This action packed book involves magic, Demigods, danger, family, romance, spirits, necromancers, suspense, mystery, deceit, surprises, laugh-out-loud humor, gifts and twists and turns!
Breene really stepped it up a notch from Sin & Lightning (Book 5) where she assembled Lexi’s team of magical misfit powerhouses similar to the Avengers, and throws them into the Magical Summit like the Hunger Games where they battle each other for recognition and power. There are many moments throughout the book that just give you chills, which is the sign of a great book. I tried to read this slowly and enjoy it but the suspense drove me to speedread to the end. There was so much buildup to this final book and it was really everything I wanted in the conclusion to Kieran and Lexi’s story. Another sign of a good book is one that immediately makes you want to restart the series from the beginning to see it unfold again, which is absolutely what I wanted to do. And she sets it up perfectly for Daisy’s spinoff. I also want to know what happens to Mordacai and if he finally gets his pack and finds a mate. I really can’t say enough great things about this book! It really is one of my favorite series of KF Breene!
Sin & Surrender is an excellent ending to this series! Non-stop action, hilarious dialogue and scenes, and craziness and unexpected adventure abound in this HEA story. The storyline and plot are very well written, entertaining, and interesting. Love the characters and hope to see them again at some point!
Devastated this series is over but if you’ve got to end something may as well go out on a bang & there’s enough bangs in this book to keep any reader happy . As they arrive at the Magical summit they are weighed , measured & found wanting especially because they have a non magic person in the form of Daisy with them , you should never judge a book by it’s cover that girl is lethal . The challengers come but are seen off , even some of the one’s they stumbled on by accident , they’re seen off but jealousy & revenge leads stupid people doing even stupider things. To say Kieran & Lexi & there crazy mixed up family teaches the stuck up demi gods & their entourages a few life lessons is putting it mildly , i did sort of guess the uninvited guest who saves the day was Lexi’s helper but didn’t see the amazing gift she gets from her helper, loved the ending & i’m not ashamed to say i cried , wish we could have more even if it’s in a few years time just to have a catch up.
I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters as they have become some of my all-time favorites. This series was one of those rare, diamond-in-the-haystack, type reads that grabbed me from the beginning and kept be begging for more every time. This book and series is going to stay with me for a while. Lexi, Kieran, and all the characters were so well developed. I love how the author kept them true to their original throughout the series but also continued to help them grow and mature as individuals at a pace that they kept you guessing but didn’t disappoint you with any strange sudden happenings that felt out of place. The story plot was the same. It developed at a perfect pace so that the author gives you enough to satisfy you, but not enough to ruin the next book and each book ends with a perfect setup for the next. This book delivers and it is the perfect ending to the series. I had such an emotional rollercoaster ride while reading it. I’m sad to see it end, but that ending was so worth it. I laughed, cried, shouted, screamed (internally because if I had done it out loud I would have frightened my family, lol), and I fell in love with the characters once more.
I won’t get into specifics as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. However, I will say that, if you give this series a chance, you won’t be disappointed.
Well done to the author on an amazing story. Thank you for the fantastic adventure.
With their team assembled and Alexis as trained as possible we finally head off to the Summit. Daisy is smarter than ever and able to read potential situations with the best of them, if not better. Mordecai is finding his voice and his strength. Every small battle, every huge victory, every new family member has prepared them for this Summit. They are all as ready as they will ever be. The Demigods do not know what they are dealing with, Kieran and his crew are an enigma. The one thing you can count on when it comes to the Demigods…they do not like what they do not understand and every single member of Kieran & Alexis motley crew of family members will be pushed hard, beyond their limits, and the battles are epic! I did not see that ending coming at all and it was just perfect! The Queen has done it again but I cannot believe this is the end!!!
I’m a bit speechless and unsure how to articulate how much I loved this book. I thought the last one was my favorite but KF Breene outdid herself on this one. The story just keeps getting better and better. We find out who Harding really is and what the cats really are. It’s crazy!! The revelations and additions to the story were hilarious, entertaining and intriguing. The situation with Jack had me tearing up. I was beyond thrilled. Lexi was still fierce in her protection of her kids and family. She was still the girl who didn’t like politics and didn’t conform to the norm of the magical community which are all things I love about her. They fought hard at the Summit and it was page-turning. Mordacai and Daisy held their own and did fantastic! The book was well written and keeps you engaged and entertained throughout. It is now my favorite of the series.
Everything Any Fan Of This Series Could Hope For!!
Sin & Surrender: Demigods of San Francisco #6
This book is pure pleasure, it should be a sin to read!
Alexis & Kieran, along with her Ward’s & their Crew, are all preparing to finally attend the Magical Summit. It is here, they know from others previous experience, that it will be determined if his place as the official Demigod of San Francisco will stand or if he’ll need to consolidate his place in other ways! They also know that his unsanctioned mark on Alexis will be called into question.
1. Because it’s against the rules to mark others without the Rulers consent.
2. Because Lexi’s power is so feared & sought after.
It will be an actual & figurative fight for both Kieran as well as Lexi, her Ward’s & the rest of the Crew. He cannot step in to aid them in any fights as he will be facing political manoeuvring & intrigue, in meetings, and also won’t immediately know who is friend or foe, well except for the obvious!! Plus it’s excepted that all the Demigod’s teams will fight to try & gain status & up their overall social standing. Daisy & Mordecai are both going to attend. As a ‘non magical human’ Daisy attending is unheard of & is expected to reflect poorly on him, as a shifter that was abandoned as a child, Mordecai will be viewed as lesser too, they’ll both be at risk regardless of being underage and therefore theoretically exempt from being targeted & challenged!
This is such a wonderfully fleshed out, well rounded & beautifully balanced story. It has absolutely everything any fan of this series could hope for and even more. I was completely blown away by the twists & turns, shocks & surprises. It’s snarky, I snorted so many times at all of the one liners. But I also laughed out loud, then nearly swallowed my tongue in fear & pee’d my pants in excitement! It’s an emotive juggernaut from start to finish but the pace builds so sneakily, along with your pulse, that you barely realise it’s about to explode until it’s upon you!!
This book is, quite frankly, an epic finale to this series. It also lays the foundation for the start of Daisy’s book/s! I can’t think of anything I’d want in this book that wasn’t included, concluded or explained – I’m truly in awe!

K.F. Breene has dropped the mic! A perfect ending to an epic series!!
This book was bitter sweet for me ~ I really wanted to know what happens to everyone, but it’s also the ending of such a great series and I absolutely loved the characters so much!
Thankfully this final did not let the series down, all the pieces came together ~ there was surprises, heartache, joy, love, revelations- I don’t want to go into detail and take the joy out of this masterpiece!
A must read for fan of K.F.Breene, Shannon Mayer are Maya Daniels!!
