My best friend’s sister is back in town, and while she’s here, she’s under my protection. Quinn Parker had her heart broken, and I’ll make sure no one hurts her again. But when she starts looking around for a hot, no-strings distraction, I can’t stand back and do nothing. No one is touching this vibrant beauty…but me.She’s the woman of my dreams, but Quinn wants a good time, not a long time. We … time, not a long time. We play by her rules: no one finds out, no one gets hurt.
I have to keep it casual because an ex-con like me can’t offer her forever…even if I want so much more.

“I thought I was dead inside before. Obviously not, because how could you bleed out if you were already a corpse?”
After meeting him in Beg for You I already knew he was a broken bad boy, my favorite kind…sigh. As usually seems to be the case, he’s got a big heart, but it’s buried beneath a painful past that is keeping him from feeling deserving of love. And how I love when the perfect woman comes along to fill his cracks. The only problem is…she might be even more broken than he is.
Quinn is running from a painful past as well. Straight back home where she feels safe. The only thing is, it’s ‘him’ that makes her feel that way. Her brother’s best friend is big. “Tall and thick. Neck, chest, thighs, waist, arms…everywhere.” He’s always been her protector. If only he could have protected her from the damage her ex had done to her self confidence. She was determined to convince him to hire her, and he did. “I’d needed to be near him.”
He wanted to be able to keep an eye on her, but it was killing him. Seeing her all the time was torture, though he wouldn’t change a thing. “Quinn could be soft and quiet. She could also throw attitude, loved to tease me, and had a wicked sense of humor. I liked it all.” Too bad he’d decided to stay in the friend-zone.
The chemistry between these two is electric and I was afraid I might get shocked holding my Kindle too tight. I was tempted to throw some water on them out of self-preservation, but I was too excited for them to finally connect so I figured it was worth the risk. Yeah, I’m a virtual voyeur like that, and I was enjoying the hell out being in the ‘danger zone’, all up in their business.
I’m really digging the Rocktown Ink series and I think the author saved the best for last. Yup, the more broken the better in my opinion, at least in the romance reading world. And you can’t get more broken than what we have to look forward to in Meant for You. The line forms here…
I have a been a big fan of Sherilee Gray for years now and honestly can not jump on her books fast enough. She can legit write the dictionary and I would read it. From paranormal to contemporary stories – I will read whatever she writes! Her stories are always engaging, addicting and absolutely sexy! For this reason I was so excited to jump on the second book in the Rocktown Ink series. I absolutely loved Bull and Quinn’s story. Their combustible chemistry was hot as all hell coupled with their strong emotional connection. This story was so deliciously fiery but the way this couple touched my heart was perfection. I loved every word!
Gah!! There is nothing I love more than brother’s best friend stories. Add to that a hero that is rough around the edges with a heart of gold? UMM! Yes please!! Bull was everything I love in my heroes and more. He was wounded and growly with enough sex appeal to make anyone spontaneously combust. I loved how he adored and protected Quinn. She was everything to him and he did all he could to prove it to her. Likewise Quinn was strong and sassy but also wounded with a damaged spirit. But Bull was able to prove that she was worth it and more. I seriously am so addicted to this author and her words! Bring on Dane’s story!! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
Okay, I’m just going to say it. This is not one of my favorite books by this author. I’ve read quite a few of her books and this one just didn’t have the same (I dunno the word) that normally comes with one of her books.
However, this wasn’t a bad story. Like I said, it lacked that certain spark I normally see in this author’s work so … it’s just an opinion really. Now that’s just really in the leads themselves. I didn’t believe in them. I actually didn’t like how the author portrayed them. They lacked the communication skills I would like to see in people almost 30 years old. They came across as immature to me so I was put off. But their story or rather journey was okay.
Honestly, everything I have to say is pure opinion so it’s pointless for me to just drone on and on. So I won’t LOL But one little tiny thing that I just cannot not mention … I’m not exactly sure what’s happening here with these covers, but they make me twitchy. I glance at them and my brain immediately goes to paranormal *shrug* (I’m picky about my covers, sorry)
Quinn is back in town after having her heart broken from a relationship. Logan “Bull” owns a bar and has hired Quinn to work there. She’s his best friend’s sister and he wants to protect her. The couple are attracted to each other but their communication skills need some serious work. Quinn is vulnerable after being cheated on in past relationships. Bull is an ex con and thinks Quinn wouldn’t be interested in him. The sex scenes are steamy and I did love this story. I recommend this book if you like best friends sister, small town, no ow drama and steamy reads.
Loved Bull
My heart hurt for Bull! I loved Bull in the first book so I couldn’t wait for his book. And it was everything I’d hoped for.
Quinn is unlucky in love, when her fiancée cheats on her she decides to go back home and regroup. Getting a job at her brothers best friends bar she gets to spend everyday with the big burly man that has been in her dreams for years. Her brothers best friends…..he’s off limits…. but can she stay away?
Y’all these two are perfect together. She’s sassy and he’s a man of few words….unless they are dirty words and geez this man is hot. Loved the characters, loved the writing and loved the story.

Oh this book is HOT!!!!! I was hooked from the start and could not put it down. I absolutely LOVED these characters and thought that the chemistry between them was off the charts. I can not wait to get my hands on the never book in this series because Sherilee Gray knows how to weave one heck of a tail and keep me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! By Alisa
I’ve been looking forward to Bull’s story pretty much since he stepped on to the page in the first book. I was pretty much extremely excited to start this one and it didn’t disappoint. It contains one of my fave tropes, best friend’s younger sister which took my excitement to another level. Sin For You is awesome. I loved Bull and Quinn’s story, it’s sweet, sexy and hot. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Sin For You is book two in the Rocktown Ink series by Sherilee Gray. This can definitely be read as a stand alone although as in most series, the characters do recur. This is a brother’s best friend romance.
We met Logan (Bull) Calero, cousin to Cal and Dane, in the first book. He is a talented tattoo artist but only tattoos occasionally now as he is the owner of the bar, The Thirsty Mule, in Rocktown, Montana. Bull has done time in prison. The result of a desperate attempt to try to help his family. He’s a huge, broody man who can make a man tremble just by giving him “the look.” But really, he is a protective, caring teddy bear who will do anything for the people he loves.
Quinn Parker had left Rocktown years ago and was living in Portland. Her older brother is Bull’s best friend. Now, with a broken heart, the last in a long string of bad relationships, she has come back to Rocktown to heal. She’s working at Bull’s bar. It’s been months and she is slowly beginning to come back from what happened to her. She has no interest in a relationship. Clearly she can’t trust her own judgment in men. But she wouldn’t mind a casual, sex only arrangement. She’s had a crush on Bull since she was ten years old. Could he be the perfect choice or does he only see her as an annoying little sister type?
“I was a failure at love, and I’d accepted that. I didn’t want it, not anymore. It hurt too much.”
Once Bull realizes that Quinn wants something casual, there is no way he’s going to allow any other man to touch her. If she wants her needs met, he’ll take care of her. The idea of any other man touching her makes him crazy. But he knows that she is only staying temporarily. And that’s for the best. Because he’s not the man for her. She deserves more.
“I was exactly the kind of guy I didn’t want anywhere near her. The kind of guy who would hurt her in the end.”
These two were so perfect together. But Quinn’s self confidence was lost with all she had been through. And Bull felt so strongly that he couldn’t be the right man for her. They kept telling themselves this was casual, temporary, but feelings grew. There were also a lot of big smiley moments in this book that I really enjoyed. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was all the hot and cold. The, I want you, I don’t want you. Even though I understood exactly what drove them both.
With that being said, I really did enjoy these two together. Don’t even get me started on how hot they were! Bull was the best with all his over protectiveness and helpfulness. The things he did for Quinn made me swoon. We also get to know his cousin Dane, better in this book, and what he’s going through. The next book, Meant For You, will be his story. So, if you enjoy a hot, sexy, swoony brother’s best friend romance that will also make you smile, you should definitely check this out. Sherilee is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait for whatever she has for us next!
This story was heartbreakingly beautiful. Both of the characters, Bull and Quinn, have issues with their self image. Both have imperfections but that is what makes them likable and relatable. You just have to root for Bull to get Quinn because he is so alpha, growly and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait for the next installment in the series!!
I adored Bull when we first encountered him in the preceding novel, Sin for You. There we got just a few glimpses of his big, growly, overprotective, hot self. And there was so much more of him to admire here. Plus, since this is an alternating point-of-view tale between Bull and Quinn, we get some insight into his thoughts as well, not just his actions. The poor guy has got some serious baggage, the after effects of having a horrible, verbally and emotionally abusive mother. Not to mention his low self-esteem after having done time when younger, from making some bad choices while trying to provide for his cousins Cal & Dane and their grandma. But despite all that, he just comes across as a big sweetheart, in part from many of the present day things he does to help Quinn, not to mention some of her first memories of him from their childhood. And he is totally smitten with Quinn, even before he realizes it himself.
Quinn is even more of a hot mess than is Bull, if that’s possible. She just got off the latest of a series of bad relationships with total losers, blaming herself for all of them. She comes home to lick her wounds, and hide out from her “real” life. But also to be close to the one person in the world who makes her feel safe: Bull. Even though she is convinced that he thinks of her only as an unwanted and annoying little sister.
This is most definitely a slow burn love story! The two have harbored feelings for one another for ages, from months to years even; and it is several chapters in before they even get together. Once they decide to consumate their non-relationship, they then face any number of unusual circumstances that thwart their attempts to get frisky. When they do get together finally, it is hot and heavy and oh so sweet.
I really didn’t like the extreme yo-yo aspect of their relationship, however. First one was in, then the other, but rarely at the same time. I know it is all part of the angst to build the drama and suspense, but come on! They went back and forth so much in their feelings and intentions that I felt as though I got whiplash just from following their story. I would much rather have seen them together a whole lot more. Just get on the same page already! Still, the end was definitely a good one though.
It was nice to see Cal and Cassy a bit again in this tale, as well as Dale, to at least hear some about Everly, and to meet Quinn’s brother Mason. I did think that his break-up was an unnecessary distraction though. And the epilogue wasn’t even about Bull & Quinn! Yeah, sure, it is setting up the next book for Dale and Everly’s story, which I am definitely excited to read; but I wanted more Bull & Quinn still! All in all though, another great addition to one of my recent favorite series.
Ok I loved loved looooved Sin for you it is book two in the Rocktown Ink series and can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you read Beg for you first you may run into some minor spoilers . When I finished the first story I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one the when the characters were mentioned and it showed how they were with one another it just mad me want more . Bull and Quinn were likable characters but they did frustrate me with how they handled certain situations . Bull is just wow he’s HUGE everywhere 😉 but also self doubts himself because of his past ok another thing was that he is funny loved being in his point of view with some of the things he thought or did . Quinn was a ok heroine I understand her reasoning of not wanting a relationship with the hero because of her past betrayals but some of the things she did frustrated me . Overall this was a good story really enjoyed the characters and the sex scenes were off the chart HOT . I can’t wait for the next you really looking forward to Danes story I just know it’s going to brake my heart .

SIN FOR YOU is the second instalment in Sherilee Gray’s contemporary, adult ROCKTOWN INK erotic, romance series. This is thirty-two year old, bar owner /tattoo artist Logan ‘Bull’ Calero, and twenty-six year old, waitress Quinn Parker’s story line. SIN FOR YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Quinn and Bull) SIN FOR YOU follows the best friend’s little sister trope. Quinn Parker has no luck when it comes to her love life having four failed relationship end after finding her significant other(s) in the arms of other women. Returning home to Rocktown, Montana Quinn finds herself working for her brother’s best friend Logan ‘Bull’ Calero, a man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine.
Logan Calero doesn’t do relationships, believing himself not worthy of love or affection, especially a relationship with the woman that calls to his heart. Trying to keep his distance is futile as every man eyes what Logan desires to claim as his own but claiming Quinn means betraying a man to whom he made a promise to protect and defend. What ensues is the back and forth, hot and cold, building relationship and love between Quinn and Bull, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close.
Quinn knows her time in Rocktown is temporary but secretly hopes her ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with Bull Calero turns into something more. A series of misunderstandings and miscommunications find our couple at odds in an attempt to understand their emotions and feelings towards one another. Hoping to keep their ‘affair’ a secret, Quinn makes Bull promise to keep silent about their time together, a promise that is increasingly difficulty as the heart wants what it cannot have. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters include Bull’s cousin Joel ‘Cal’ Calero and Cass (Beg For You #1), Cal’s brother Dane, as well as Quinn’s brother Mason. Both Dane and Mason are struggling in their personal lives, struggles I hope will be addressed in the future.
SIN FOR YOU is a story of forbidden romance; a best friend’s younger sister story of unrequited love and attraction but an attraction that grows deeper with each encounter. The character driven premise is engaging and inviting; the romance is spicy and sexy; the characters are wounded but surviving. SIN FOR YOU is an edgy and dramatic addition to the author’s ROCKTOWN INK series.
When his best friend asked him to keep an eye on his little sister, Logan “Bull” Calero took the task quite seriously… to the point that anytime a man showed any interest in her he would intervene and send them packing. Not because they were bad news, but more so that he didn’t want anyone putting hands on the girl who unknowingly captured his heart. He knows lusting after her is wrong, but he just can’t help himself she is just too beautiful and tempting… if only she felt the same way.
Quinn Parker has dreamed about getting her hands on Logan Calero for a long time now, between his rippling muscles and broody attitude the man sparks an insatiable urge that she isn’t so sure she can contain for much longer. When she marched into his bar months ago looking for a job, that wasn’t her only mission, she also wanted to work alongside him, put her charm to good use and eventually seduce him. But once she gets her hands on him she realizes that she may just have got herself in over head… all she wanted was a fling, but this thing between them is so much more than that!!
Ah! nobody writes an alpha quite like Ms. Gray, Logan “Bull” Calero was one of her best yet, built to perfection, armed with a charming yet broody personality, and dedicated to satisfy always. I knew as soon as he wandered onto the page that my heart might be in trouble, he was dominating and guarded, but underneath his protected walls was a soft-hearted man with feelings. I loved watching him lure Quinn into his world, and fight hard to keep her there. The push and pull between them was torturous on my heart and emotions, they had me at their mercy the whole way through. From beginning to end these two kept me thoroughly entertained and mesmerized by every word… easily one of the best books I have read this year! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
My oh my.
Sherilee Gray was a ‘new to me author’ but damn i felt like I’ve been reading her work all my life.
It was so easy to get into and fall in love with the characters.
I’m kind of surprised I’ve never read this author before because what she writes sounds right up my alley.
Bull and Quinn had amazing chemistry between them, you could feel it in waves. Bull was so alpha and growly and oh so delicious. He’s everything i love to read in a male character. Quinn i liked her too, she has alot on herself but with her past relationships and how they ended it does something to a girl.
Seriously i loved this book so much, it kinda reminded me of like an Alexa Riley book, just longer which is amazing since i love there books too, it had the same sort of vibe. It’s hard to explain but it just felt so natural.
This will definitely not be the last book i read from this author i can tell you that.
And if you haven’t already you should absolutely pick up this author too!
Bull was the star of this show. He’s one of my favorite types of hereos. Big, tattooed, protective, and really knew how to take care of Quinn.
Bull is a protector and a nurturer. He fixed Quinn’s car, shoveled the walkways, and much more without being asked to. He just genuinely wanted to take care of her even before he recognized what his feelings were. Nothing makes a man sexier than that!
Quinn was a good heroine. I liked her, but I would have liked her more if she wasn’t so back and forth with what she wanted. I get why she was that way. She has not had a great track record with men and she had some residual hurt from her mom’s passing.
There is a lot of push and pull in this and even though the conflict lasts until the end, we still got some great time with both of them together. I love to see how a couple works together.
Holy alpha heroes!!! Talk about the king of all alphas, Bull takes first place by a mile!
’He could be kind and gentle, incredibly patient.
He could also be grumpy and stubborn as hell.’
Quinn has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Bull, most of her life.
’Bull had towered over the boy, crowding him against the side of the diner, and looking him the eye, had shaken his head.
Bull didn’t touch him. Didn’t say a word. Just shook his head. Larry had peed his pants and run away.
Then he’d looked at me and said, “Okay?” Yes, he’d been a boy of few words then as well, and I’d nearly swooned.
I’d been smitten instantly.’
She’s been cheated on in every relationship she’s ever been in. When she returns home to distance herself from the latest cheating scoundrel, she runs straight to Bull who has always been her safe place. Working as a waitress at his bar, he is now in her vicinity on a regular basis and her girlhood crush is growing into something much more enticing. But when a girl who isn’t enough for anyone and a man who is living in guilt come together and emotions get involved, things get pretty dicey.
Man, my heart hurt so much for Quinn. How could a woman not be deeply affected by the way she’s been treated in the past? It’s bound to leave permanent marks on your soul. While I haven’t lived that life, I totally empathized with her emotional turmoil and total sense of being lost. She didn’t even know who she was anymore. But when the light finally burst through for her, it was as liberating for me as it was for her. What a beautiful moment.
Bull was freaking perfect! He’s exactly the type of hero I adore. Big, growly, protective, possessive and jealous when he even thinks about another man looking at Quinn. And those character traits remained from the beginning until the very end of the book which made me a very happy reader, indeed.
‘I barely held down another growl. “Watching out for her, that’s all.”
“Oh, suuuure,” Dane said, that twinkle back in his eyes. “You just growled at some guy for touching her, like full-on-from-the-back-of-the-throat, possessed-by-demons [stuff].”’
There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderfully perfect Bull was. The fact that he didn’t see himself as perfect, but believed it to be quite the opposite, was heart wrenching. He was such a good man and yet he’d been fed lies most of his life and couldn’t see that he was worth keeping, worth loving.
This was such an amazing read! The chemistry between Quinn and Bull lit up my Kindle before they were even in the same room together. And once they begin to move towards each other, holy heck, things didn’t just get steamy, it was boiling over!
There is not real outside drama here. The angst definitely comes from within the relationship as they each carry a ton of baggage, and rightfully so. Even so, this isn’t a heavy read, but it will definitely bring a lump to your throat as this couple work through their own issues and then must screw up the courage to confront one another with their feelings. And throughout it all, we get little nuggets of humor that balanced out the story in a fun and charming way.
Definitely recommending this to all my jealous, possessive, protective, alpha loving book friends!
Sin For You was a bit of a slow start as Quinn and Logan’s chemistry didn’t jump right off the pages until several chapters in. I know for some readers that would make this a DNF (did not finish) kind of book, but I implore you to stick with Logan and Quinn’s story as they eventually find their footing, which is super steamy, that leads them to their HEA.
Quinn has moved back to her hometown after a recent breakup. She needs time to heal after finding her fiancé in bed with another woman. Coming back home she gets a job, working with Logan, her brother’s best friend who has always been a comforting protector in her life. However, she now is ready to move on and wants something more and that something more is Logan, at least as a rebound type of relationship.
Logan “Bull” isn’t exactly long-term relationship material. He has a past he isn’t proud of, but now he has a steady job and works hard to stay away from the man he used to be. He’s promised his best friend that he’ll do anything to protect his sister, Quinn, he just didn’t imagine that she’d request to be a rebound fling and that saying no would be so hard. Eventually his resolve fails and it’s a lost battle and as much as he tries to hold onto his heart, knowing it’s just a fling, he feels he may have lost that too.
While these two figure out their new normal, what does it mean to have a casual fling, because really they have known each other for years and nothing is really casual between them. Will Bull let Quinn leave when the time comes and Quinn walk away from the first man who hasn’t broken her heart?
A bull and his octopus
I know my title won’t mean anything to you…but once you’ve read Bull and Quinn’s story it will make complete senseThis story sucked me in like a Hoover vacuum and wouldn’t let me go…I’ve completely devoured this story in just a few hours as I couldn’t put it down
Quinn returns to her small home town after separating from her fiancé and quickly gets a job as a waitress with Bull at his bar. Bull tries to keep his distance from her but in an effort to protect her, they eventually compromise and cross a line I absolutely fell in love with Quinn and Bull pretty quickly, Bull was like an onion – he has so many layers but then they both did and it was intriguing to see how a person’s past can affect their future. There is a lot going on in this story in the background but crucial to the story..so I won’t give it away, but a very compelling series and I’m sitting here wishing I had Dane’s story already as I know it will be gut wrenching and will most likely break my heart but I’m ready! Maybe we can get a novella for Mason, Quinn’s brother
Thank you to Sherilee for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review.
