He also wants me with a passion that burns my body from the inside out.

Sin & Chocolate, what an awesome world we have entered here and what a fun story. I enjoyed this immensely! There is wholesome, full hearted love in a ragtag thrown together family, loyalty, quirky personalities, laughter, steam….
Alexis thinks so little of herself but means so much and is a rock for her family when someone, by fate, sees what her family sees in her. A little self serving for him at first but then sees the the trueness of her, no falsity of her intentions or her being.
This entire book was a joy to read and I devoured it in mere hours because of that, a definite MUST READ!
I loved it!! Five stars!!
Sin and Chocolate was absolutely amazing and I loved every word of it! The story line was fantastic and the characters were great and multi-dimensional. I wouldn’t mind getting books on any of the side characters because they all had their own sides and emotions and you could really feel that in the book. K. F. Breene surprised me in parts and I felt like an idiot in other parts but it was so good! Sin and Chocolate is great because there’s a splash of romance in it but it’s not the focus of the entire book and the storyline has so much depth to it. I am really excited for the next book in the series!
Hot! Hot! Hot!
I will admit I went into this book blind. I hadn’t read any blurbs and wasn’t sure what the plot was, but knowing this author’s works I had high expectations. She did not fail me. Right from the start I loved Alexis. We are given a heroine who is down on her luck but she doesn’t let that crush her. Enter one devastatingly handsome demigod with stalker tendencies and things start to get hot. Kieran is drawn to Alexis because of her magic and because of the enigma that she is. He wants to solve that puzzle. What follows is a most excellent story that I highly recommend you read. Looking forward to the next book
Wow! What an amazing story.
The S&C story was perfect. I love meeting so many new characters and seeing a new world unfold within the pages. The author built the world up with the perfect amount of details so that you get a pretty good picture of everything but she still left enough unsaid so that the reader is surprised in the next book. This is a unique, original story unlike any I’ve read before. I’m especially fond of the obstacle course scene. (I think it might be fun to try that some time.)
I love how sassy and confident Alexis acts at times only to reveal that she is actually shaking in her boots, so-to-speak. Kieran is the quintessential Demigod, all forbidden and sexy, dangerous and full of ego. A match made is Heaven.
I like the kids, sassy, foul-mouthed Daisy and sweet but fierce Mordecai. Plus, who could forget Kierna’s Six. All that muscle in one place is enough to melt any girls panties.
My favorite part was all the weird, unique one-liners that the author uses (i.e. Mother-trucker biscuit f%&$#%, just to name one of the many) that had me cracking up. I’m going to be adopting some of them. (Thank you to the author for extending my vocabulary.)
Want to know what I’m talking about? Then make sure you purchase a copy of Sin & Chocolate by K.F. Breene.
I’m completely hooked on this series and this is just the beginning. I can’t wait to read more.
FUN!
That’s exactly what this book is: a fun, captivating, light hearted story of a young woman fighting for a better life for herself and her adorable, quirky protegee teenage misfits. Their struggle is wrapped in a well-written package of hilarious situations and witty conversations that will make you smile and laugh out loud despite the bad hands these characters have been dealt.
The plot moves slightly slower than we’re used to by KF Breene’s other works, but that doesn’t mean it takes away from the entertainment. On the contrary, both the clever, gradual revelation of the female protagonist’s special abilities (and their subsequent implications) as well as the slow build up of sexual chemistry with her male counterpart form a delicious current that is carried throughout the book and that easily captures and owns your emotional investment. You will find yourself rooting not only for the main couple though. Ms Breene does such a great job with all the characters that I can’t help but wish for them to star in their own books 🙂
“Sin & Chocolate” is the first book in a new series and I am already looking forward to the continuation of this story.
Another fantastic start to a new series! I completely recommend this book for the humor and the sexy Demigod.
Alexis is magical but lives in between the magical and human communities in order to stay off the radar. She has two teenage wards she takes care of: Mordecai is a shifter and Daisy is a human. They all look out and take care of each other – I can’t really say Alexis is always the “parent” in their little family. It’s all really quite funny.
Then there’s Kieran. He’s a Demigod. He’s an Alpha male. And he’s totally stalking poor clueless Alexis.
As usual I can’t wait for the next book!!!
SIN & CHOCOLATE by K.F. BREENE is book One in the Demigod of San Francisco series. This is the story of Kieran and Alexis.
Alexis has magical powers that her mother had her keep secret so it is second nature to keep that under wraps. Alexis also has become a ‘mother’ to Mordecai & Daisy. Mordecai & Daisy haven’t had a great life until the became a part of Alexis life. Each now are very close but there are still struggles with money and the need for it. But they love each other.
Kieran is a Demigod while out looking for information that can set his mother free. Kieran happens to run into Alexis and gets a read from her that she has certain powers. This leads to their meeting and the fun begins. This book seem to have a little bit of everything to keep you turning pages. I can’t wait for the next book. Really enjoyed this one.
Wow, This Is A Powerful & Spirited 4.5 Star Read!!
Ok, so we have ‘sort of’ single Mum Alexis. She is magical although due to its type she doesn’t like using it, she sees ghosts and can help them cross over! Her Mum always taught her to hide as much about herself & her magic as possible, so she did and it has become a habit to hide in the cracks between the magical & human communities.
She is the Guardian to two teens – Mordecai & Daisy. He is an orphaned Shifter who has an illness caused by his shifter genes. His medication is expensive but they manage to just scrape enough money together for it every month. He’s getting worse though, his pain seems to seep through his eyes no matter how much he tries to hide it plus his cough, it was so bad! Daisy is Human, no magic at all but survival is a life lesson she shouldn’t need to know at 14 yrs old. Her Mother was a junkie who had died of an overdose when she was a toddler so she’d survived in ‘the system’ until Alexis saved her aged 10. Daisy has seen far too much but thankfully it was only seen!! These three are completely dysfunctional but they’ll be loyal to each other with their last breaths, they all love each other deeply & unconditionally, they’re Family and they’d chosen each other!!
Kieran is a Demigod, he’s Sinfully sexy, as Alpha A-Hole as you can get, yet with his face & body most would let it slide. He’s clearly not heard the word ‘no’ often He loves Guinness, smells of the rolling sea and sometimes his his Irish accent burrs through his deep, sultry scraped voice Alexis hasn’t a single clue who’s path she’s just walked into and if she did she’d probably run crying!! Kieran is on mission when he ‘bump’s’ into Alexis. His crew, his six most loyal & closest friends and colleagues, are hunting for someone to help his Mother! She’s in dire straits & so far no one has been of use – then he reads Alexis magic and – Let the ‘not stalking’ stalking commence!!
This book was a complete delight. You know going in that you’ll have some fun with K.F Breene when she’s writing in this genre, what I had forgotten was that she can gut punch you in the feels department so you’re choking on your own sobs too!! Seriously, I know I’m overly emotional due to hormones, but was that really necessary? Lol
I was kept on the edge of my seat by the will they/won’t they? Because, my God, Kieran & Alexis are smoking hot together I’d like to get to see more of Kieran & the #SexySix interacting normally, like at the pool *sigh* Only because they all seemed much more relaxed of course Being half naked has nothing to do with it, Sheesh I loved that entire scene The frog splat … That’s totally what happens to normal people, well me Hysterically funny Hours later, as I’m writing my review, I realised I’ve randomly giggled all day today and it’s because either another scene or snark filled comment flew through my head Now that really impressed me as my memory is notoriously bad!!
I need to give a special mention to Mordecai and Daisy because they really kept this book humble in the best of ways! They are both beautifully strong and undoubtedly broken but from their broken places, with each other’s help, support & love they’ve both become stronger, more resilient and are ready to take on their world along side Alexis. It’s her that gave them their safety, that first glimpse of unconditional love and guidance! #LOTR #SiblingLove #Family
There is so much in this story, I can’t wait for more to find out what’s next! All of the spiritual stuff through Alexis was completely gripping! The big reveal at the end – that was my mind blowing up
The pacing, world building & characters are so spot on, it was almost as though I’d been there before but I havent, this is brand new and you could feel that freshness too!! It’s not a DDVN book, it’s not a Darkness book it’s a Demigod of San Francisco book, Book 1 and it’s thrilling so grab wine for Sin & chocolate for .. Yep, Enjoy because I know I did +

If you’re new to K.F. Breene prepare to become a fan! She gives us another strong willed woman with a big heart to admire. As well as another powerful and gorgeous man to daydream about. Alexis is struggling to make ends meet with a crappy job and kids to worry about. One of which is very sick. She’s stuck in between two societies. The humans and the magical world both look down on her. Her whole world is about to change when a chance encounter brings her to the attention of a very powerful man who has a secret agenda. Sparks fly between the two. Both learn there is much more than meets the eye. One of my favorite things about this author is the humor that she brings to all her work. I love the dry wit and snark. Mix that hilarity with some warm hearted moments, some great movie quotes, a bit of steamy sexual tension, a mystery, and bad guys to take down. Then you have the perfect recipe for some delicious Sin & Chocolate. I look forward to finding out more about all of these fantastic characters.
Sin & Chocolate (Demigod of San Francisco, #1) by K.F. Breene is as expected another winner and a wonderful paranormal romance that is so deliciously sinful. K.F. does PNR like no other and I have high expectations that she continually exceeds. I have not read one story that she has written that I have not loved and has not wowed me. I love seeing new worlds coming to life and meeting new characters and with K.F.’s wordsmithing she lets you see every single nook and cranny and vivid life of both. She always writes a story that is so unique and enthralling and so original that you can’t put them down, you have to know what is happening right away. This story is a complete delight in oh so many ways. K.F. builds so much emotions in the story and you always find yourself laughing out loud with the crazy goings on and banter between the characters. But don’t be fooled there is equal amounts of times that you will also need a tissue. Well done girl you always set the bar exceedingly high!
