They say age doesn’t matter. I could argue that it does. The ten years separating Stella Cruz and I matter a whole hell of a lot. She has a year of college left—two entire semesters to enjoy being the star pitcher of Fulton University—and I have another Cup to win. Hockey leaves no room for anything else, not even someone as incredible as Stella. So, I left her in my bed. Out of sight, out of … … out of … sight. Because I damn sure can’t get her out of my mind.
Everyone says time heals all wounds. That’s a lie. Six months ago, Jason Dagger left me in Boston after one of the best weekends of my life. Shut me down when I tried to reach out. He didn’t call, didn’t text, didn’t even wave at the camera when it panned over to him during one of his hockey games. Nothing … until he shows up at my job one night demanding and sexy.
Jason’s back and he’s not making anything easy for me. I don’t know if I’m happy or mad about it.

Really enjoyed this one! 5 hockey stars for it!
Stella has just sworn off men for a while, when all of the sudden at physical therapy, in walks a man, Jason, who’s hot as all get out, and he’s equally attracted to her. Jason is an NHL player, but she has no clue who he is. These two spend an amazing weekend together, and then he’s gone, back to his team.
Sit back and watch their story unfold in this book.
Heart melting and steamy
I loved Stella and Jason’s story. So much that I read the HEA parts over and over. Stella is a mature 20 yrold. Jason is an immature 30 yr old. After some turmoil they find their wY back to each other. Knowing the original pull they felt wasn’t going away and only getting stronger. Interested in more Fulton University stories.
This was a quick read and I quite enjoyed it. It was light and fun, perfect for an afternoon read. I loved Stella, she was strong, independent, and won’t put up with being treated wrong. I like that she made Jason work to win her over. I loved Jason’s family, they were fun and entertaining. I’m looking forward to more from this new series.
I originally read Sin Bin when Mandi Beck released it as part of the Team Player anthology and loved it! So, when I heard she was re-releasing it on its own with additional content, I could not wait to read it!
I absolutely loved Sin Bin. Jason and Stella had an immediate chemistry that dripped off the pages and when they finally connected, you could feel their connection! Though a ten-year difference is not huge, it is when two people are in very different places in their lives. But when their one night has life changes consequences, can they find their way together or is it too late?
Sin Bin by Mandi Beck was a novella that was sweet, sexy and a bit angsty, but what a great ending! I loved having a bit more of Jason and Stella and their future! Loved it and highly recommend it.
Happy reading!
Sin Bin is such a cute quick read. I loved the characters and the book was well written. It will draw emotion out of you but keeps it light.
Stella and Jason are so cute together. I loved their instant attraction to each other but it wasn’t love at first sight. It was raw, passionate lust and it was HOT!!!
Stella is such a strong character. She is independent, loving, a hard worker and won’t let anything stand in her way of what she wants. Even when life throws her curve ball after curve ball, she just adjusts her plans and keeps moving forward.
I really love Jason, even if he is a jerk sometimes. I enjoyed watching him mature and grow more into himself. He is ready to do what he needs to do to make sure everything is perfect for Stella. His family is so sweet and loving. I like that he is a mentor to Levi because he shows what a good role model should be.
I am excited for Levi’s book!
I am a big sucker for a good sports romance. And when I saw that Mandi Beck was writing a hockey romance, I knew I had to get my eyeballs on it.
Cue the sexy. And the sass. And the stamina. Things between Jason and Stella were hot, hot, HOT from the start. Their chemistry was undeniable and it didn’t take them long to give in to what their bodies were wanting. Jason has a dirty, dirty mouth and the actions to back them up. It was a whirlwind weekend for these two and they were shocked that they connected more than just physically. The only problem, Stella still has school to finish and Jason has a hockey career to get back to.
I flew through Sin Bin. There was a lot packed into the pages. There was family and goals and dreams and lots of sexy time. While things were a touch predictable, the banter more than made up for it. I honestly couldn’t get enough of Stella and Jason; fingers crossed to see them again sometime soon!
Sin Bin was originally published in The Team Player Anthology. I didn’t read it in the anthology but if you did this one has added content. It’s a good quick read. Stella is a college student and a star softball player. Jason is a star NHL hockey player. They meet when Jason comes to her college campus to check in a recruit. Their connection is off the charts. They have a great weekend together then Jason is back off to life in Chicago. Then the story jumps to six months later and I was like why don’t we get what happened in those six months but then I kept reading I was like wow that’s why we jumped six months ahead. Jason is great. He’s possession and sweet all wrapped up together. Stella is great too. She’s not clingy and is very independent. I loved these two. Their story was great and I so could have read more of them. I’m looking forward to Levi’s story.
4 1/2 Amazeballs Stars!
Jason & Stella. *sigh*
These two were definitely a hot duo. Hockey player meets softball pitcher — both athletes, but maybe a bit at different levels. Even with the added content, this story was not enough!
I loved how these two came together and that their journey wasn’t exactly easy. For a while, I wasn’t convinced that they were right for each other, and I was even a little afraid that perhaps my heart was going to be broken and never repaired. Overall, this was a story that felt real and exemplified the imperfections of life, but how those imperfections can create beauty.
Jason and Stella give a whole new meaning to Sin Bin! Jason his on his way to win another Cup and Stella is the all-star pitcher at FU. When their worlds collide will one weekend be enough?
Fun, exciting short read that is definitely a one-click kind of book!
Originally published as part of the Team Player Anthology, Sin Bin has been refreshed with new content. More from Mandi Beck is always good. Stella and Jason’s story is definitely one to read. It’s fun, flirty and will tug at your emotions. Definitely one to add to your TBR list.
Stella and Jason are discovering that there are things worth sinning for! Stella has worked so hard to get to where she is. Her Abuela raised her and her brother to be strong and after her passing away it was just them, but Stella made sure to carry those lessons all the way to a softball scholarship to Fulton University. Nothing is going to stop her from graduating and making sure that she achieves a bright future. When she spots Jason from across the sports complex she can appreciate his aesthetic attributes, but she will not be swayed but a hot guy. Jason has gotten used to woman falling at his NHL skates, but Stella has no idea who he even is and it really is refreshing. He knows he should stay away from a woman ten years his junior, but there is something compelling about the minx and Jason is caught in her mitt. After what can only be described as some of the most powerful encounters he has ever had, Stella and Jason go their separate ways. Unlike most of his conquest, Stella doesn’t press for more and when he tries to meet back up with her he is in for quite the surprise. Jason is going to have his work cut for him if he wants to get Stella to give him a second shot.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book
Sin Bin by Mandi Beck is Jason and Stella’s story. Jason is a professional hockey player and Mollie is a pitcher for FU University’s ball team and a senior in college. Even though there’s a 10 year age difference between them, they can’t resist the attraction they have for each other. A long weekend changes their lives forever. I really enjoyed Sin Bin. It was sweet, sexy and hot.
In hockey the penalty box is often refered to as the Sin Bin and let me tell you Jason and Stella have given it a new meaning!! Jason is a pro hockey player in the NHL and Stella is a college senior, ten years younger than him. They have an instant attraction and are only supposed to be one night, one hot AF night. Spoiler: it’s not one night! I loved these two so much!! Mandi Beck brings to us a great story, with great character development!
Once again, Mandi Beck brought her A Game. I totally fell head over heels in love with Jason & Stella!! Sin Bin is a novella full of sweet, sassy and sexy times! Hot hockey player, college girl, HOT sex and even a little magic by the Christmas tree … what else can you possibly need this holiday season? I truly enjoyed every moment of this book and absolutely loved the epilogue! I can’t wait to see what is next with the hockey players from Fulton University!
In Sin Bin we get Jason, a hot hockey player and Stella, a sassy and feisty college student! I loved them so much! They were perfect together and had hot hot sexy times!! I loved everything about them! I need it to be a full book!!
Sin Bin is my first read by Mandi Beck. A fun age-gap story. I understand it was part of an anthology, and it IS a short story. I would love more though. I think there is so much more of Stella and Jason that needs to be uncovered. The steam factor is very nice though which is why I went with 4 stars — it was worth the quick read and I will definitely delve into Mandi Beck’s stories.
Even though this short novella, I feel as though Mandi Beck packed these pages with a really good story. I was surprised at how much detail was in Stella and Jason’s story. Even though I am not really geared toward reading sports romances, I still thoroughly enjoyed the ride to the sin bin.
Stella Cruz and her brother was raised by her grandmother to be independent, focused, and strong. After their grandmother’s passing, they just have one another and Stella is a goal oriented senior at Fulton University. She is very determined to not be distracted and mess up her chance with her softball scholarship. What Stella doesn’t plan on is having a stellar weekend with Fulton grad and professional hockey player, Jason Dagger, and he totally blowing her off.
Jason Dagger is so used to women falling at his NHL skates that he didn’t see Stella coming until it was too late. While at his alma mater, Fulton U, Jason meets the very focused, stubborn Stella and, even though these traits drive him crazy, they also intrigue him into wanting to know her more, but he mistakes her for the average hockey groupies that he is used to and cuts her off after a stellar weekend.
Fast forward six months later and these two cross paths again, but will they sin again or go their separate ways?

Good fun hockey romance!! Well written with great characters!!
This is a super sweet quick read. I highly recommend this book. Loved it!
