Lennon Carter first saw my face with his hand around my throat.Shock widened his eyes, starbursts of anger for what I’d done. That moment should have been the last of us; our beginning and end. Fate, it seems, had other plans.A dedicated musician, Lennon would become my mentor, my shadow, my protector and nightmare. We were two discordant notes that somehow blended with perfect harmony.Challenged … with perfect harmony.
Challenged to become a pianist as talented as him, I became Lennon’s SIN, while he became my DISCIPLINE.

I honestly don’t think Lily White can write a book I don’t love. She truly is one of the most versatile and unique authors in the industry. From dark to sweet, to sexy and depraved. She has something for every reader’s tastes. So it is no surprise that this was yet another hit with me.
This book ticked all my boxes for a great taboo(ish) romance. It was well written. It was well paced. The plot was engaging. However, there were a few things I wish had been fleshed out more. It was lightly taboo (teacher/student). It was sweet. It was heartbreaking. It was smokin’ hot (light BDSM). It was slightly angsty. There was no OM drama. There was a smidge of OW drama. There was a tiny cast of secondary characters, but each of them gave added depth to the story. Lennon (28) was a sexy as f-ck alphahole who loved dominance. He didn’t appear to be a manwhore (limited mentions of his past sex life). I truly loved Lennon’s character but there were times I wanted to throat punch him. (lol) Amelia (18) was a great heroine. She was a virgin (her age made that fact bearably at least). (lol) She was feisty. She was sweet. She was a brat. I found her to be a genuinely likable heroine. Last, it was all wrapped up in a good HAPPY FOR NOW. As I reader I always prefer if a book has an epilogue that shows the main couple some years in the future. Although I was satisfied with the ending we got, I would have loved to have seen them farther along in their lives.
So yea, another great read by one of my favorite authors. I loved it. I recommend it, and everyone should buy it as soon as it becomes available!
Music feeds the soul
What do I even say? This book gave me all the feels. I was pulled into Lennon and Amelia’s story from the outset and never let go until it was finished. I thought about them when I wasn’t reading, desperate to know what came next. I loved every painful moment. And let me just say the steam in this? Oh boy
This hit all the right notes for me and I couldn’t have asked for more
5* Taboo Stars
I absolutely devoured the story of Lennon and Amelia. It was such a beautiful story about two broken souls coming together under challenging conditions. This story was so much more than a forbidden teacher/student romance. It was about Amelia striving to obtain the music scholarship she so desperately wanted under heartbreaking conditions and Lennon having to come to terms with past.
There was some underlying suspense as well as some very passionate scenes.
The book was very well written and you will be engaged throughout this emotional read. I really enjoy the authors writing and what she brought to this story. I am very excited to read more from this talented author.

Taboo, dark and sexy AF. Lily White delivers a super hot story, like scorching, red-hot, torrid, melt your kindle hot but there’s depth and emotion too. It’s the perfect blend of everything I want in a dark, taboo romance.
Lennon and Amelia are undeniably attracted to each other from that first moment, though circumstances dictate hatred and anger. When they meet again as student and mentor, sparks and emotions fly.
I f*ing love Lily White’s writing. She has a way with the dark and forbidden, making it beautiful and enticing. I loved Lennon and Amelia’s story and cannot what for what’s next from Ms. White.
I am not even sure where to start with my review of the fantastic, sexy, smart, tantalizing deliciousness of Sin and Discipline. This student-teacher romance with a hell of a sexy twist kept me at rapt attention until I read every word.
I loved the instant attraction and connection between Lennon and Amelia. From the very start, there was this pull, this bit of magic that woke something in Lennon. A passion, a fire that he’d been missing—denying for years.
And Amelia. My goodness. She’d been living for everyone else but herself—and putting herself at risk. Until Lennon. Until Lennon and his unrelenting need to protect her, even from herself. And I loved how she gave in to her own deep desires—her feelings for Lennon. Her need for him and his discipline. **fans self**
Sin and Discipline is dark, dirty, and down right one of the best taboo romances I’ve ever read.
Wow! I never imagined I could adore a hero as controlling as Lennon but holy heck, he was freaking amazing!
Carrying a wealth of guilt and grief, Lennon returns to his hometown to mentor and help select Hastings’ next scholarship student. When, after having only been there for a few hours, he is mugged, he is once again reminded of what life in this town was like growing up. But when he captures the thief he is surprised as well as outraged at what he finds.
Amelia and her family are barely surviving day to day. With too much pain, anger and frustration at home, her and her brother do what they can to make it to the next day. One bad decision and she finds herself with an injury that could take away her only chance of making something of her life. If that weren’t bad enough, she enters the classroom that holds all her hopes and dreams, only to find gorgeous blue eyes and a sexy smirk.
Lennon surprised me in so many ways. In the beginning I didn’t think I was going to like him, at all. He’s controlling and antagonistic, and kind of mean. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. What you see is what you get…sort of. Because below the surface is a man who harbors dirty, dark secrets about what he wants from a woman.
”The face I show the world is of a talented musician who dominates the keys. But the face hidden behind shadows is a man who likes to destroy pretty little things. Who likes to grasp a heart of innocence, break it down, strip it bare and demand it spreads its legs.”
Initially, he fights the desire to pull Amelia into his web but the more they interact the stronger the urge grows. Yet, even as he’s controlling her in subtle and not so subtle ways, at the heart of it and without his full understanding, he wants to insure her safety. And that is when I fell hard for him. He was so protective, possessive and jealous that he was checking my boxes all along the way.
”The only conversations I had with her were antagonistic and short. What I did know is that I wanted to rip the eyes out of every man who looked at her like a piece of meat, while also joining those same men in appreciating her curves in a dress that was no more than a tiny scrap of cloth.”
“I own you from this moment on. Every day. Every second.” My grip tightened on her jaw. “Every f@cking thought. Every action is mine. Can you live with that?”
Amelia was fearful of Lennon when she realizes he’s her teacher. He has the power to destroy everything she’s worked so hard for. So when he gives her instructions, that have nothing to do with playing the piano, she obeys. When another bad decision lands her literally in his lap, he gains the control, not out of fear, but out of desire.
”Will you?”
Two words. Simple. Yet loaded with a million possibilities.
“Will I what?”
“Ruin me?”
Exhaling slowly, I closed my eyes, my hands fisting tighter. Would I? Despite it all, I thought I might.”
I loved that despite the fact she followed Lennon’s orders, she wasn’t spineless. He recognized there was a fire beneath the surface and never wanted to squash it. Watching her grow from uncertainty into confidence was beautiful and the fact that that confidence wasn’t wrapped in Lennon was even more so.
This couple absolutely sizzled, even long before they got together. The sexual chemistry between them could be felt in every scene. The sex is rough and dirty laced with some bondage in creative ways that has me side-eyeing this author. Even if that isn’t your thing, there’s no denying the temperature is going to escalate while reading this.
It’s impossible for me to express how beautifully written this story is. There are so many spectacular comparisons of these characters and music that I was left breathless several times as I just let the words soak in.
“He was my heart.
He owned my soul.
He was a dark melody that was in perfect harmony with mine. Each note intended to sing together. Each chord a matched beat in our pulse.
Lennon was the music that whispered within the chaos of my thoughts, a melody that shone as the brightest of lights, directing me and welcoming me home.”
And when Amelia or Lennon played, holy heck! I could feel the music flowing through me although I was doing nothing more than reading the words on the page.
There is a great twist in this story that was quite shocking. You may or may not pick up on it before its revealed, but you won’t know it all. Even though I liked where this couple were, I would’ve liked an epilogue that carried out further into their future. Overall, I absolutely loved this story with the richness of this author’s writing style and the evolution of both the hero’s and heroine’s characters, there is just so much more here than what’s on the surface.
” He needed me. Needed my submission. Needed my obedience.
Needed my silent permission for him to take everything I could give.
…. this man had become everything I needed in my life. He was my heart.
He owned my soul. He was a dark melody that was in perfect harmony
with mine. ”
Lily White is an author with a quirky and distinct flavour, who consistently delivers something fresh and unique with each offering from her pen. Her books range from pitch black through mind-fuck to erotically disturbed, digging into your psych and challenging your ethics whilst simultaneously luring you to walk a dark and dangerous path.
Sin and Discipline is the story of Amelia, a young girl struggling with life and a piano protege, and Lennon, emotionally damaged piano virtuoso and a man of dark desires. Whilst on the surface this is a Teacher-student Taboo romance, it is also very much more than that. Indeed, if you have read any other books by Ms White, then you will be fully aware that it will contain plot twists that will tie you up in knots. It might also contain pairs of suspenders that will do literally do the same thing!
If you don’t look too deep you will see the story of an illicit relationship, a situation where morals and what is proper clash violently against desire and passion. However there is so much more woven into the complex tapestry that this tale creates. There are hidden secrets, long held grievances, misassumptions, lies and duplicity, all mixed together into a powerful cocktail of anger, heartbreak, lust and love.
” A work of art, he was a man that had been carved by the Devil,
steel temptation wrapped in velvet sin, a tease like nothing I’d
ever known before. ”
Lennon and Amelia meet in unusual circumstances, to say the least. They then discover that he is her mentor on a summer programme where 100 hopeful pianists will be whittled down to one successful scholarship winner. However Lennon wants more from Amelia than just her willingness to learn piano, so much more. He wants her obedience, her body, her soul, demands it like the skilled master he is. He desires to own every single inch of her, to dominate her and to play her body with the skill and appetite he demonstrates at the keyboard. Amelia is only too willing to spiral down this rabbit hole with him, lost in the crashing, discordance of his song, soothed by the gentle harmonies he creates within her.
This is one incredibly erotic and passionate read, one where you’ll find yourself blushing just as easily as the innocent and previously untried Amelia. I really wouldn’t recommend reading many of the hotter scenes anywhere other than the privacy of your own home, not unless you enjoy getting all hot and bothered in public. The chemistry between Lennon and Amelia is intense, burning so hot that you might need ice for your e-reader. It also left me wanting a Lennon of my own, a man unafraid to demand everything of me that I have to give. A man willing to tempt me to surrender myself to him. A man strong enough to tear down any boundaries that surround us. I may just be a little in love with Lennon.
” This man was my hero, whether he knew it or not. ”
Amelia is an exquisite creature, innocent and vulnerable yet also hard as steel. My only ‘issue’, and I’m not even sure I would deem it one, is that Amelia generally felt older than her 18 years. However given the last 9 or 10 years of life with her father, given the hustling and illegal activities she has engaged in, given just given how bloody tough life has been for her and the struggle to keep her head above water, then with a bit of a squint I can believe that she might be more mature than the average 18 year old. I can accept that she looks at the world through more grown up eyes. And at the end of the day I loved this story so damn much that quite frankly I didn’t care.
This book held my attention throughout, every single word, line, page and chapter was captivating and compelling. My heart was repeatedly squeezed with agony and despair and when Amelia left the concert after learning if she had won the scholarship it was shattered into a million pieces. Sin & Discipline is a story that was as far from predictable and bland as it is possible to get. It has amazing characters, depth and emotion and will take you on a journey that will wring your emotions dry.
This will be a massive hit with fans of the author, but is a book that all those who enjoy a cleverly written, scorching hot and boundary pushing romance will also not want to miss out on.
(A Taboo Student/Teacher Romance)
Ummm yesss please…I would love to read..haha
“This girl didn’t know me-didn’t understand she was playing with fire.”
Ummm yesss give me those threats…
“I was scaring the shit out of her. I didn’t care. She needed to be scared.
Lily White, you sooo know how to suck a girl into reading your next forbidden romance!! lol Goodness I needed that air conditioner turned down cuz lord Sin & Discipline was smokennnn!!! lol And LAWD I loved every minute of it!!!
Good girl students are always the ones you have to watch out for the most and teachers that think they have the upper hand, may just have to use a bit of Discipline when those good girls choose to be bad and not mind their teacher!!! haha
“Do something like this again, and I’ll be sure to redden your ass for it.”
Y’all, this book releases tomorrow…make sure you go one click and read your next 5 “oohhh soo naughty” Stars!!!
THIS!!!! Everything THIS!!!!
This book hit so many chords with me, I almost can’t even put words together to describe my feelings. When you throw everything I love in to a book, you’ve got my attention. But when the story is so captivating I’m dreaming about it…clearly I’m a goner.
Lennon is…everything. He’s hot, eccentric, a musician, teacher, and a survivor. After escaping his childhood town to become a member of the Florida Symphony, he’s asked to return to the prestigious arts school he graduated from to judge potential scholarship recipients. But he soon realizes that not only was returning to his old town stirring up old memories, but teaching a particular student could threaten everything.
Amelia is…surviving. She’s young, naive at times, strong at others, passionate and pure. Growing up the daughter of teacher/musicians, she quickly learned to love the piano. After losing her Mother at a young age, the family dynamics quickly changed, leaving her and her brother with most of the responsibilities. But she still has music. At least she hopes she does. Hopefully she’ll get this scholarship she’s been dreaming about.
This could quite honestly be the new Erotic Cinderella story for me. Is Lennon an ass at times? Duh, Lily wrote this. But he’s also Prince Charming. Is Amelia a bit of a damsel in distress? Sort of, again, Lily wrote this. But she sure is a fighter. This is all I’m saying about the characters because in order to truly love a Lily book, you need to go in as blind as possible.
Despite the fact that this story was off the hook, crazy compelling, I have to mention the music. If you’re not familiar with symphony pieces, I highly recommend the following. Lily provides a “Music Index”. Create a playlist with these pieces. Please. I beg you. Each and every one of these pieces perfectly depict each and every moment it’s played within the story. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! You will feel the emotions being describes so much more. I promise!
It’s It’s a Scintillating story, forbidden and scrumptious. Dangling like a forbidden Apple in front of Adam & Eve of Sheldon, Lily takes a Tabboo genre and adds a dark flavour of kink to it. The end result is both sizzling and spicy in flavour. What happens when two Doppleganger souls meet amongst the ruined town of Sheldon, who belong together like black & white piano keys, working in sync to produce passionate, melodious music only they can hear.
They have to keep their symphony clandestine, hidden behind prestgious relationship of a teacher-student. In public they have to keep their eyes averted, amorous feelings in check but when they meet in private their violent lovemaking gets unbridled and savage.
Amelia Dillon is a protégè, a single minded, focused student of Music. In lands Lennon Carter, who’s a prodigal son returning reluctantly to the town seeped in painful memories for him
Both meet like fire & oil, exploding fires and engulfing flames.
“You’ll let me do anything I want, won’t you? Even if it hurts you. Even if you’re scared. I’m not sure what that says about you, Amelia.”
“I would give him anything he wanted. I would take his pain. I would become the comfort he needed to move past the monsters inside him.”
t’s a supernova of passions spinning fast and sucking readers interest. This is mildest I’ve ever read Lily and I must say it suits her.
Very engrossing, blistering, holy hotness of a story
Don’t go by her dark reputation, pick this up for a sexy and sultry journey.
Lily even on her unicorn ride, throwing glitter, is still a force to reckon with. The surprising twist towards the end confirms the age old adage-Leopard can’t change it’s spots.
Well done tigress !!
4 stars if you ” Say please”
4.5 Steamy Stars
Holy Toledo!!! Forbidden…Student/Teacher story that will have you willing to learn to play the piano by none other than Lennon, the quirky dressing, dark, sexy as all get out alpha man. Not only could he teach me to play the piano, I’m all willing to let him teach me a few things in the bedroom! My Sham-WoW undies sure did get put through the wringer while reading this book!
Amelia lives in the run down section of town. Her home life is less than desirable for anyone. The one thing in her life that she has going in the right direction is her ability to play the piano beautifully. Not only play the notes, but is able to express with each press of the key the feelings that come from an exceptional pianist.
It’s a story that keeps you engaged from beginning until the end. Very well written with not only the student/teacher story as well as a background story there too.

Lily White is a completely new author for me and got to say I am seriously impressed folks.
She seriously smashed it out the park with “Sin & Discipline and I absolutely adored this Taboo Teacher/student romance, like tongue hanging out panting and all that Jazz.
This book just worked for me on every single level and I devoured every page avidly.
But first, though let me address the Taboo aspect of this story just in case this is a cause of concern for you.
So this is not in any way icky, the Taboo relationship here between teacher and student is not in any way a high school one.
Amelia is an adult (18) and Lennon (28) is a famous successful musician who for the summer is acting as a mentor in his hometown to a bunch of talented musicians and whittling them down to one along with another teacher to compete for a coveted scholarship at a prestigious music school.
So yeh both consenting adults and all that.
So the heat here was seriously turned up sizzling in fact.
Loved the overall dynamic portrayed here so much it just pulled at my heartstrings and felt very believable and authentic.
That balance with Lennon and Amelia was very much one of dominance and submission but not really in a bdsm sense more in a sense of control and deep need, there was no calling anyone sir or scenes it’s just Lennon and Amelia and there own unique connection.
This control is basically Lennon’s Jam but he also wants Amelia to retain her fire, sass and attitude to life.
The intense connection between Amelia and Lennon jumped off the page, the ebb and flow of the bond these two musical individuals had made there shared encounters so majestically lyrical.
The things this yummy man can do with a pair of suspenders and piano, Oh be still my beating heart!!
So, Lennon, I really adored his quirky intense and eccentric vibe, his thrown together dress style with penguins motifs and those aforementioned skull suspenders all wrapped up in a gorgeous dominant package, need I say more.
Then we have Amelia with her spine of pure steel and sparky resilience, I really liked both of them very much.
There were also other things at play here running in the background.
A back story concerning Lennon’s own personal heartbreak and the effects this still has on him in the present day.
This really did have a depth to it that I wasn’t initially expecting but certainly did appreciate.
This was sexy and sultry a real stand out page turner and I am ever so excited to have discovered myself a new author to devour.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Sin & Discipline.

I loved this book! It was everything forbidden and delicious! Lennon and Amelia were fire! I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry was off the charts. I checked my phone several times to make sure it hadn’t melted. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
Lennon Carter is a teacher with the Florida Symphony. He looks for students and artists who can live and breath the music they play.
Amelia is the daughter to two symphony performers. She practiced her entire life under there guidance. At eighteen she auditioned for the Hastings scholarship. Her only chance at this scholarship was an eight week summer program with none other than Lennon Carter. A man who graduated from the same program six years ago.
What we have here is a student teacher romance. But it’s not a simple student/teacher trope. If you’ve read Lily before you’ll know that she writes very dark and erotic romances with a unique forbidden taboo twist. Lennon is the embodiment of sin while Amelia is the sweet innocent student in need of discipline. She got more than she bargained for in the musical sense. Not only did he teach her to play music, but he taught her how to play with discipline.
Overall:
No matter what topic Lily chooses to write she owns it with her excellent research skills.
If ever there was a time to have a music playlist put together this was it. While I consider myself a music lover I am by no means familiar with classical music. I had to look up each song and artist in order to feel the dark emotions emitted from these scenes.
I’m amazed and impressed by how Lily still manages to find new and interesting ways for her characters to have sex. The sex scenes are graphic and very explicit. The sex is always unique to the characters. While each male character has been on the darker side bending towards taboo and kinky it’s still a unique experience between them all. Lily manages to find ways to express the sexual experience so as to not be repetitive.
This is the first time I wasn’t able to picture one of Lily’s characters. Lennon’s eccentric tastes in clothes threw me off course. His dark erotic desires however were much to be desired.
I enjoyed the exquisite beauty of interlacing and threading music into sex.
Even though Amelia’s character was eighteen I found her to be quite mature given her family circumstances surrounding the upbringing of classical music and wealth. The only thing signifying her age were her bad choices and reckless behavior. Of course, these were par for the course when you bring in Lennon’s character. The age gap was rarely noticeable.
Lily balances her story between the storyline and romance exquisitely well. Combining both was combustible making time for work and playtime.
Sin & Discipline is my second book to read by this author. I don’t recall how I came across the first book, The Five, but I liked it so much that I read this one as soon as I could. I’m so glad I did. Lennon is a successful musician who has returned to his hometown to judge a scholarship competition. Amelia is one of his students. They meet under unusual circumstances and he isn’t happy to see her in his class. This is a really well written older man/younger woman and student/teacher romance. Lennon & Amelia have both experienced difficult losses and find something in one another that they didn’t realize they needed. Sin & Discipline was full of drama, was very sexy and had a twist I wasn’t expecting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and can’t wait to read another book by Lily White.
What a taboo little treat about a teacher and student.
I loved this story. It was engaging and very intriguing.
Sin & Discipline was exquisite in its delivery. The forbidden love of teacher and student told in an erotic yet melodic tone. Though the roles of the characters fit into that “forbidden” category, they were true soulmates that spoke the same languages of love and music.
Lennon was an eccentric yet successful musician who was slightly broken. Amelia has dreamt of following in her parents footsteps and carrying with a career as a successful pianist and it turns out Lennon was the one to get her past her family’s hardships and reach deep down into her soul and bring forth the music hidden deep inside. Not only did he awaken her sexual side, but he also brought out that part of her where her full music potential was hiding.
Their story was beautiful and healing and every bit as sensual as I would expect from a Lily White novel.
Teacher/student forbidden relationship with a twist. Lennon & Amelia reminded me of another couple Emeric & Ivory, from Dark Notes.
This author seriously never disappoints! She always adds a little something extra to her stories that nobody else can. This book was twisted and forbidden and fabulous. It was edgy and sexy….everything you could ever want in a book, this one has.
Lennon is a famous musician who comes back to his hometown where he has a run in with Amelia. These two have their issues and secrets that they are keeping and there is also the age difference makes it kind of taboo but I don’t see it that way because Amelia is 18. The chemistry between them is off the chart and so steamy. I enjoyed how Lennon became protective over Amelia and wanted the best for her, especially how her brother was using her to make money. It is full of twists and turns and a lot of steamy moments. The author’s way of writing was amazing it just had a natural flow to it but it was a little slow to start with. Overall it’s a great read and I really enjoyed it.
