Georgeanne Howard leaves her fiancé at the altar when she realizes she can’t marry a man old enough to be her grandfather, no matter how rich he is. Hockey superstar John Kowalsky unknowingly helps her escape, and only when it’s too late does he realize that he’s absconded with his boss’s bride. This bad boy isn’t looking to be anybody’s savior but his own. Still, a long night stretches ahead of … of them—a night too sultry to resist temptation.
Seven years later, Georgeanne and John meet again. She is on her way to becoming Seattle’s domestic darling and he is past his hellraising days. Shocked to learn that he has a daughter, John’s determined to be part of her life. Georgeanne has loved John since the moment she jumped into his car, but will he risk the wrath of his boss, and one final chance at glory, to prove that this time his love will be everlasting?

I don’t think I have ever read a Rachel Gibson book that I didn’t love! I love her characters and the twist she always writes into her stories! Just when you think it’s a regular “H meets h and they fall in love” story, Susan Mallery ups the ante with a “twist (and laugh out loud shout). WELL DONE,
I listened to the audio version of this book. This is an older book that I’m not sure if I read before or if I just missed it. I’ve read quite a few Rachel Gibson books in my day and have enjoyed every one. I just thought this book was a lot of fun. The main characters didn’t always play well together, but overall it was a good romance. The …
Read this book years ago and still love it. Witty, romantic, fun.
I absolutely love this book! The depth of the story is what is so appealing. The author really develops the background of Georgie and John. This is one of the books that I reread because the story telling is so delightful. I have read other books in the series and none compare to this one.
Great relaxing read – nice series too!
Fun
One of my favorite rom coms of ALL TIME! And now Lexie, the daughter of “The Wall” and Georgeanne will have her book very soon!!
light hearted novel – good to read if depressed
Not my thing. Predictable, female lead is embarassing. Never finished it.
Very fast read. Somewhat predictable plot.
Very slow moving book
Entertaining, I didn’t expect the story to take the line that it did. It was a good read.
Enjoyed the story immensely. Great read with fun characters.
I don’t remember laughing so much,I am now reading all Rachel Gibson’s bo/oks!
Loved it!
Great book that kept it interesting the entire book. Relatable characters with witty banter. Would have liked to have the author build a book around her best friend. That would be a good story line.
Gibson wrote about dyslexia and helped the reader understand the stigma of being different. The heroine was abandoned by her mother and never knew her father. She thought trading her body for financial support was her only option. She made a decision to use a ring she had to finance a business and became successful on her own. I like her.
I would have liked to give this book a half a star more. I enjoyed the characters and the story very much.
Enjoyed this book. Easy to read. Entertaining. The characters were authentic.
I love this author. I try to read all her books !
