Forget apps, websites and singles events – clearly the best way to meet a guy is to move in next door, accidentally assault him and then demand a job at his company. If that kind of charm doesn’t totally knock him off his feet, the next step is to build an army. If possible, try to recruit those closest to the target, such as his mom, sisters and closest friends. Sure, it sounds extreme and maybe … and maybe a little bit crazy, but I’ve always subscribed to the old adage “No one worth having comes willingly.” Okay, I switched out some words there, but you get the point.
Caution: Even the most foolproof plans can have hiccups along the way. I’ve taken the liberty of compiling a list of things you should watch out for: Crazy ex-boyfriends who pop up out of nowhere like an evil jack-in-the box; Women who think a strategic nip slip is effective at landing a boyfriend; Co-workers who think it’s hilarious to prank you at work and then upload the videos to social media.
Still have doubts? No worries. Let this professional show you how it’s done.

I enjoyed this crazy cute book. There are some heavy topics discussed, and some violence against women – if that bothers you, you should probably skip this one. Otherwise, I think the story was interesting, I genuinely liked all of the characters, and I hope to read more about the supporting characters.
Loved this book! Easy to look those colorful charaters but also real life problems.
Love, love, love this book. It made me laugh out loud so many times. And I liked the characters both male and female- interesting yet flawed. Story had a lot of heart. I enjoyed it immensely.
This book had me laughing out loud and also almost crying. The characters were extremely real and likable. I wish I was more like Blake, she marches to her own beat and I love her. This was my first book by this author but definitely will not be my last!
A seriously witty & Laugh out Loud funny book… in some spots I almost went my pants laughing so hard!!
I loved the crazy heroine, which is done in such a realistic way; she draws her hero right to her from the very beginning when she takes him down as a mistaken stalker- it’s great writing & seriously funny stuff, which also sets the stage for the book. I don’t like spoilers so that’s all I’m giving, except to say you won’t regret reading Simply Crazy.
I truly hope Jenn Hype continues & writes stories for the rest of the war heroes mentioned inside this book, the supporting characters, because they need stories too, & she’s definitely got a gift for story telling.
I definitely recommend Simply Crazy as one of the best books I’ve read in a while, & I’ll be looking forward to more books from Jenn Hype in the future, especially concerning these characters.
I’m not an ARC or pd reviewer- this is just my honest opinion of a truly funny book. In fact, I don’t write reviews unless the book is outstanding, which this book definitely is!!! Happy reading.
Simply Crazy had me laughing on page four. I snickered a few times on page two and three. It was a flat out belly laugh by page four. Oh, this is so what I was looking for.
Blake has no filter. Whatsoever…no filter at all. She is from small town TN, just moved to NYC to be near her sister. Now that she’s there she needs a job. The way she finds one will have you almost peeing your pants.
CJ and Blake’s first meeting is unique…hilarious…over-the-top. When CJ gets through that first meeting he vows to stay away from his certifiable neighbor. He figures it’ll be easy. He’s at work all day long, how hard can it be to avoid someone who lives in a place he’s rarely at? Then he meets his first interviewee for the new position at his company…
Jenn Hype has the art of sarcasm down pat. Her writing is fluid and witty. There are some typos and editing is a little sloppy, but it doesn’t interfere with the story. It did bother me some. When a product gets to the stage of publishing those errors should’ve been caught. Alas, I’m old-school so I may be a tad picky. This series is one that I’ll keep reading for the humor alone. Add a pretty good storyline and it’s a winner!
Loved It
Blake moved to NYC to be with her sister after her boyfriend Heather so badly she was in the hospital. Blake met CJ when she accidentally tried getting into his apartment instead of her own next door. Then she showed up the next day for the job at his company. When after is great.
The female character was smart, funny and witty
Favorite Quotes:
Screw politeness. Life was too short to miss an opportunity to see CJ get spanked by his mom. “No, no, no,” I spoke up. “He doesn’t need to apologize. I’d much rather see him get a whoopin’.”
Don’t watch; you’ll want to lecture me about it and drinking coffee without a bucket full of sugar just isn’t possible for me. Which means I’ll end up just giving it up out of fear that you’ll find out one day and threaten to spank me in front of everyone. I don’t particularly like living my life in fear, or without caffeine. The combination makes for a dangerous level of exhaustion.
I’m not vain, but it’s a sad day when you find your first gray hair. And the worst part is it wasn’t on my head.
Do you know if all those rumors about prison are true? I was hoping he’d wind up being the bottom bitch of some burly guy named Theo who used to be a motorcycle gang leader.
Pity that the beautiful ones always seemed to have the ugliest personalities. The one before me was probably their evil queen.
You have to resort to raising your fist to a woman just to keep her around. Sad. Why is that, exactly? I’d assume it goes deeper than being a bad conversationalist or rancid morning breath.
My Review:
Simply Crazy was a devilishly fun read. I smirked and giggled-snorted my way through this delightful tale. Written from a dual POV of a buttoned up returned vet who had not returned whole by any means, although he was slowly falling for his filterless and overbearing firecracker of a neighbor, a gal with a good heart and snarky tongue who couldn’t hold back a thought for any amount of money. Packed with clever humor, amusing inner musings, insightful observations, quirky and compelling characters, several threads of intrigue, and a few bits of delectable steamy goodness; I adored this amusing book start to finish. I was ecstatic to note this was the beginning of a new series; hopefully, there are additional mischievous tales already in the works.
Funny, sexy, great story!
Really really fun. I really liked this book
I really enjoyed this book and the characters. Very good read.
I funny. Will make you chuckle
5 Stars!!
This was a hilarious romantic comedy! I was laughing at all the hilarious moments that happened.
Blake is such a straightforward, blunt kind of girl. She basically has no filter and it is hilarious what goes through her mind and what she says. CJ, basically, was thrown off with how honest she is. I love all their interactions from the very first moment.
Momma Rose is such a doll. I love how Blake gets thrown into CJ’s family. She is friends with his mother, sisters, and friends.
The sexual chemistry between them is off the charts and I love seeing CJ change because of Blake.
This book had me laughing every chapter. The characters are well written and all hilarious. There was intense drama towards the end to add more crazy to their already crazy lives.
Absolutely laugh-out-loud funny!
Great book! Lots of laugh out loud moments!
Funny but with some serious thriller action!
Laughed so much!
Was quite funny how so different the two caricatures were.
Loved it ! So funny! I have read this several times and still laugh my butt off!
