The second Le Beau brothers’ story is emotionally gripping and holds readers in its thrall from the very beginning. The romance between Simon and Rose is an emotional roller coaster that captures readers’ hearts as the hero and heroine overcome their issues to reach for their happily ever after.
The plot is fast paced and full of thrilling suspense and excitement as Rose finds herself being targeted by an unknown group of rogues, of course the situation is further complicated that Rose is has no idea just who or what her enemies are. Surprising twists keeps readers on their toes while they bite their nails in anticipation of what’s to come. While the Simon and Rose story does have a conclusion their enemy remains elusive ensuring that readers are going to keep coming back for more of the charming ‘Le Beau Brothers’.
I love shifters and their sense of loyalty and that is why they make the best mates/husbands/boyfriends. But I am especially fond of these brothers because they are all different yet still love and support one another, despite the heckling we get to experience. Simon and Rose are extra special. I happen to relate to them because I have either experienced some of what they have or know someone very close to me that did. War, abuse both of them are touched by pain others cannot understand and it made this story, all of their stories really, more real and relatable and lovable. Rose has found she does not need to be a victim anymore and that’s an amazing thing. Simon, the poor guy, I have a soft spot for people in need which is why the second he was introduced in the first book I wanted to hug him tightly and never let go. Seeing him transform as he finds happiness is extra fulfilling. The romance between these two is sweet and steamy. Loved this book cannot wait to read the next one
Shifter Simon has been to hell and is desperately trying to get back. His years in the service have left him severely damaged and his family, especially his new sister-in-law, Anna, are trying hard to put him on the road to recovery. They say love heals all wounds and finding his true mate might just help. He meets her and has to learn to control his feelings and convince her that he is her mate. Meanwhile, someone is trying kill her with the help of a deranged shifter. All this is making him desperate as his need for her just grows stronger. Family and friends are all involved and working together to save his mate, Rose, to make sure that she and Simon can finally be together. I’ve tried not to give any spoilers but I can say that I thought her last book “Cade” couldn’t be beat. I was very wrong and I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series. Although all the books can be read as stand alones, reading the series only enhances each story. I highly recommend this book to anyone whose a fan of paranormal romance with some sensual romance and skullduggery thrown in.
Third
This is another wonderful story about the Le Bleau family. Simon is back and still healing, but something about Anna’s friend Rose kicks in. His mate radar. The have a few things to overcome, but will love prevail.
The boys’ mom is at it again…praying to the Goddess for their mates! Simon is back from the war and stays to himself. He spends most of his time in wolf form. He hardly interacts with others in his family. He suffers from not having enough contact from when he was in the marines and Anna is the one, he responds to when she finally touches him. Come to find out, Anna is a healer and is intent on healing Simon. Then comes along her friend Rose…and Simon comes alive!!! He recognizes his mate but believes he is too broken for her. Rose experienced a childhood trauma that makes her skittish around certain situations. She is inexplicably drawn to Simon but has no clue why. There is a rogue on the loose who has taken a liking to Rose. Now, he has taken her! Can they save her in time? What will he do to her? Will Simon and Rose have their happy ending? This is the second book in the series and V. A. Dold does not disappoint when putting her pen and skills to writing the series. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
I really enjoyed this book, I got to buy the rest of the series
I am loving the LeBeau Brothers!!!!!! I love that they appreciate a woman for her real body….all her curves…..and not just what society thinks how should look! In this book another Le Beau Brother, Simon is intensely seeking his mate. The norms are out the window and real women are put on notice that we all matter.
Really loving this whole series
Anna moves to NOLA to start over after her divorce and meets the man she’s been dreaming of for the last 5 years. Her ex moves there also and ends up owing money to the mob. They want Anna to erase his debt and he’s willing. They don’t know he’s divorced and that now she’s the mate to Cade. This is a great cast of characters and a good story.
Enjoyable but still felt I needed more reason for Simon enlisting.
I could never understand why Simon enlisted. It just didn’t make sense and we are given no truly understandable reason.
Then we get Rose and Anna going shopping, when Rose felt she was being watched, without any guards or protection, so she can be attacked.
Rose takes meeting a vampire extremely calmly, but freaks out about there being other supernaturals.
Just like book one, this one has time jumps of hours or more too. You will be reading about something then suddenly we have moved on.
The pity is book one was really very good.
Read in the box set through KU.
I really liked Simon’s story, though I don’t like the cover of this book. The story is an easy read. I am drawn in by the relationship that the Le Beau family has with each other. It is so easy to see this world and the things that are happening. The parents, Emma and Isaiah are funny with their meddling. I’m wondering if it will ever catch up with them. Nice quick read.
Simon served in the Middle East for four years as a marine. The things that happen and the things he sees start to affect him. When he comes home the only way he can cope is in his wolf form. Rose was brought up in foster care. She has trust issues and lets very few people in her life, When she meets Simon she knows she can help him. What they don’t know is there is someone who wants to destroy Simon’s family. I really enjoyed this book and the characters were interesting.
This second Le Beau brothers’ tale is fast paced and full of suspense, danger, action, and a roller coaster of romance. Simon’s years of service to his country, stationed overseas, have resulted in PTSD and he is stuck in his wolf form. Rose and Simon are well-developed characters who struggle to overcome their difficulties as they reach for their happy ever after. I loved this story.
This was a great book !
Simon is having problems w/ his shift.
Having spent to much time in the military messed up his shifting.
Rose came to visit her friend Anna.
How was she to know that she was Simon’s mate ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
