Are his senses failing? Maybe it’s his imagination. Maybe it’s time to leave Bear Creek, and all his hopes behind.Fiona has hidden away for centuries. Only when she met the people of Bear Creek and learned … of Bear Creek and learned to trust them, did she dare reveal her other side. Only here has she acknowledged she is a dragon shifter. That’s what love does to a person, it allows them to be themselves. It allows them to trust, to believe.
But something is stirring out there. Something that calls to her heart and her soul.
She knows it’s time to reveal her true self. Whatever the cost. And, from experience, Fiona knows the cost only too well.
Just when it looks as if she is going to get her own happy ever after, fate has one more hand to play. Two girls are handed to social services by their stepmother. It’s not unusual, Fiona has seen it many times before—Five hundred and thirty-one—to be exact. But these two girls are special. Very special, and Fiona will sacrifice everything to give them the home they need.
Will her mate feel the same way? Or will she have to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Oh! This book is so good!
This book is about Fiona, the social worker, from other books in this series and Harlan. Fiona and Harlan are both dragons, who are a bit older than the average romance couple. But that doesn’t make them any more deserving of finding their fated mates. It so beautiful to read about an older couple finally finding their mates.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the connection between Harlan and Fiona and I’m glad Fiona finally got her happily ever after, after everything she’s done to help children in need while working with Social Services. I loved how finding Harlan and then providing a safe space for Ruby and Sapphi kind of softened Fiona a bit but she’s still as fierce as ever but she just allows herself to show she cares about others. Wow, talk about a ready made family but I love that Harlan contacted his lawyer for help to fast track the adoption process of the girls basically straight away even without discussing it with Fiona as he knew that it’s the right thing to do, Fiona was shocked in a good way that he’d even think that so Fate sure knows what it was doing matching these two together and I loved that Harlan, Fiona and the girls found each other, especially after they all thought they were the last remaining dragons alive due to the dragons being pretty much hunted to extinction. Harlan and Fiona make an amazing team especially how they helped Ruby and Sapphi get their treasure back and their step-mother Roxanne be brought to justice for what she’d done. I loved that even though Fiona hates dogs she knew how much the girls loved their dog that Roxanne took to the Pound that she found out where Muffin was and got her out of the Pound and brought her home for the girls. Roxanne is a completely horrible human being. I loved meeting Sam who helped Chrysi when she went through everything with Ross and Bart and them trying to blackmail Harlan. He seems like a complete gentle giant and I’m looking forward to reading his story and I hope we find out what drove him to become a PI in the first place. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Fiona is a social worker and a very old dragon. She has given up on finding love. Harlan is a very old dragon who thinks he is the last of his kind until he starts to sense his mate, but he can’t find her. Fiona stays hidden with a magic ring, but she decides to remove the ring in order for her to be open to the town. Fiona has to take two dragon girls one prime and ready to shift, a very dangerous age. Harlan, being Fiona’s mate, helps her to get the girls’ treasure back from their step mother. This book had an interesting plot.
I was glad Harlan and Fiona’s story was next. This was my fav so far in this series. Harlan wondered why he only got whiffs of Fiona but not all the time, now he knows. Fiona’s social work with shifter children was her specialty. I’m glad she took the sisters in. This was awesome Harmony.
