Amy is new to town, found her dream job and after Drew walks up to her she can’t deny how handsome he is. Amy and Drew fight finding a way to stay together but neither of their hearts can pull away.
Tantalizingly short, adorably sweet, scrumptiously sexy.
These all describe this little gem of a story that packs quite a yummy punch, and is a great start to the Silver Foxes Series. I loved Amy and Drew. As “mature in age” lovers, they certainly got all my tingles going as they tried to navigate through all the obstacles their new jobs toss in their way. Lyz Kelley, as always, tells a great story that shouldn’t be missed
This book was a very delightful read with the well written storyline and the characters, Drew and Amy, was very likable, believable and engaging throughout the entire book!
A sweet and quick introduction of a new serie.
Drew and Amy’s meeting and start of maybe something more was fun to follow. It makes me want to read the next book from Silver Fox Resort.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
A quick short novelette you don’t want to put down and cannot wait to read the series. A well written story pulling you in from the start. A good start to get your attention of Drew and Amy and when they first meet.
A great short story with some insta love thrown in. Set at the silver fox resort we see a silver fox setting himself up for a second chance at love. Drew is a construction worker with his brothers and is vying for a contract at the resort. Amy is the concierge and loves her job after a divorce sees her alone. As these two have one night it’s a read that will have you seeing if they both get there HEA. A really great read. I love short stories, I love a series set at somewhere like a resort, I love silver foxes and I love the insta love part of it as well definitely gets my thumbs up.
Love is Timeless…
Drew Baxter was feeling stagnant in his life. Every day was a repeat of the one before. He needed a change ASAP. Just as he is feeling sorry for himself once again, in floats Amy Denham gob smacking him in the feelings that had laid dormant for years. He knew immediately she was the one for him.
Amy was an independent smart mature woman, but when she first lays eyes on Drew, she is reduced to feeling like a schoolgirl and melts like a puddle. The chemistry between them is instant and off the charts sizzling.
Reading about an older couple was a delight. Love comes in all shapes and sizes and ages. As they were navigating the twists and turns of their relationship, I was rooting for their HEA they both deserved. This story was refreshing and invigorating and I look forward to reading more about this couple in the future.
Meet cute meets Murphy’s Law the morning after. It’s a lightning fast little read, but that just means that the emotions are that much sharper, that much more powerful. And I’d just about give my eye teeth for more page time with them. Drew feels stuck in a rut. Enter Amy, a breath of fresh air in his predictable world. Their Chemistry is instant and combustible. In the morning light, will all the complications they’ve just created for themselves be worth it? I really enjoyed meeting these two. They’re both determined and independent, but they’re also willing to compromise for one another. I can’t wait to read more about them and the people they surround themselves with.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this story from the author.
This may be a short story, one that can read during a lunch hour or at any time when you need to sit down for a bit, but it is nevertheless romantic, passionate and heartwarming. Drew and Amy have both been through the marriage mill and survived. When Drew sees Amy being harassed in a bar, he gently inserts himself into the conversation and wins her instant admiration. From that point, their attraction for one another takes off like a rocket but discovering that they will have the same boss throws a spanner in the works. This is a clean, passionate and very worthwhile read. It is also well written and a standalone. My favorite quote is:
“Amy?”
“Shhh. I’m listening.”
He wrapped his arms around her shoulders. “What are you hearing?”
“I’m hearing our hearts heal.”
I received a copy of the novelette as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
