Shelton agrees to accompany Cassidy and her brother as far as Pueblo, CO. He’s headed for a mining claim he purchased, but he didn’t read the fine print – he has to marry the prior owner’s daughter. Cassidy is headed to the mine to meet her new husband, but Shelton doesn’t know that’s him. And she doesn’t plan to tell him until they get to Pueblo. They dance around their attraction to each other – stolen kisses, comforting hugs. But she needs what he can’t give her – forever. The book seems long, and drags at times, but I absolutely love the story! I like the main characters, and her brother Jet is endearing. First read in the series, and first read from this author – I’m looking forward to more.

Silver and Smith by Louise Crouch. This was an entertaining fast paced story with a touch of drama and suspense throw in. Main characters had a lot of chemistry and the plot was ok. Story moved along quickly and I would recommend it to others. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book three in the Belles & Boots series. Cassidy finds herself as part of the a deal for mining contract, thanks to her father. She is off to Colorado to meet and marry a man she has never met. It can’t be all bad, a chance at a new life and its not like she is going alone, she has her brother, Jet with her. Shelton is a troublemaker and settles with his fists more than his mouth. Mind you, its his because of his mouth that he needs his fists. Anyway, before hitting the isolation of Colorado for a mining claim, he figures he will get a few wild oats out along the way. However, one should always read the fine print as there is always something buried in there that can through you for an unexpected loop. This was a great story packed full of twists and challenges that allows the reader to get to know the characters and see how they connect. I look forward to the next book in the series. Enjoy!

This is a fast paced story with Cassidy, her brother and Shelton all traveling to Colorado and the adventures they share along the way. There is some twists, suspense and romance as they make their way to a hopeful better life.
A must read, very well written book 3 in the Belles and Boots, mail order western bride story with many trials and tribulations to overcome. These characters are well crafted and have a troubled past. HEA is there if they work together for it.
