Charlie Harrington has always been the good one.Loyal to his town as the mayor. Loyal to his family as the youngest son.So there comes a time when every good man needs to be a little bad.
What an incredible feel good to the bones kind of story. Charlie is the mayor of the small town he has lived in his whole life and he lives there with his daughter Lucy. Nessa is trying to get a fresh start in the small town with her daughter after her divorce. The chemistry is off the charts from the beginning and I found myself laughing and smiling with the small banter. Truly a story that stole my heart and I love how the characters are “older” characters who have established lives — so much more relatable because of that.

I haven’t read one bad book by L.B. Dunbar but I think Silver Mayor is my favorite.
Like always the author amazed me with her writing and her realistic story. This time it’s about Janessa Cruz, mother to ten year old Vega, and ex-wife of a famous baseball player, and Charlie Harrington, also single father to ten year old Lucy and a divorcé to a woman in the public eye. Both were betrayed by their former partners and so it’s not easy for them to trust other people. But their instant attraction makes it difficult for them to stay away. Sparks are flying the whole time.
I’ve always loved single dad/single mom stories and with Silver Mayor I got both in one book. I love how both handle their daughters (with love and patience) and their exes (with intelligence and calmness as good as possible). The girls are amazing! I’m sad they had to grow up so fast but they also get a second chance with a loving family.
I really loved every aspect of this story (except Angela and Richards behavior) and can only highly recommend Silver Mayor.

Having read Ms.Dunbar’s work before I’ve been looking forward to picking this book up! Being new to the The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge Series as well I couldn’t wait to jump into this world. I enjoyed Silver Mayor!
Janessa and Charlie’s journey made me feel many different things! I liked the way they were brought into each other’s lives. The heat between these two was all kinds of blushworthy! They both had been through some things and that pulled me into their story even more. I enjoyed the fact that they were parents. I just struggled a bit when it came to fully connecting with them at times.
Ms.Dunbar has created another good read with Silver Mayor! I’m looking forward to picking up Silver Biker, the next The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge book!

Charlie may be my favorite Silver Fox. Gorgeous, great mayor, great dad – but underneath all of that is doubt, hurt, secrets, and insecurities that I really didn’t see coming. I felt like he grew a lot in this book, and even though he made some questionable decisions, the person he is at the beginning of the book vs. the end of the book are not the same (and that’s a good thing).
I absolutely loved Janessa. She and Charlie have some incredible chemistry from the very beginning, but Janessa did everything in her power to make sure she remained an independent woman while also sorting out her feelings for Charlie. She goes through a lot in this book, and she also made some questionable decisions, but she came out louder and stronger in the end.
And of course, I enjoyed going back to Blue Ridge and visiting some familiar characters. I’ve been waiting for Charlie’s story, and I loved it.
This is my favorite book of L.B. Dunbar’s so far. Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book. I couldn’t put it down!

It’s Charlie Harrington Mayor of Blue Ridge Georgia to find his forever love. He is surprised by a strange woman in his bedroom and she has his grandmother’s ring stuck on her finger. she did not tell him her real name & got out before she had to admit she was he daughter of his house keeper & gardener. Janessa just divorced her famous husband & moved back home with her Daughter Vega, she quickly become Lucy’s best friend. Things are complicated in both Charlie And Janessa life, but they have a strong pull to one another. I’m not saying Charlie is perfect but Janessa dose not make things easy on Charlie, she constantly punished him for the sins from her ex’s and Charlie still suffers from betrayal from his wife Angela, and is angry how she uses their daughter Lucy for herself political gain. Janessa drives me crazy She dose not like to accept help from anyone; she is embarrassed for anyone to know her parents work for Charlie and she was at times unappreciated the effort Charlie put forth. The Harrington boys can be handful, but one things for sure they love hard and forever even though they sometimes go about the wrong way in showing it at times. Charlie is hot and shows that he is not mr. Goody straight lace in the bedroom.

Adored this sexy read!
“If ever we should meet again in my bedroom, I hope you’re naked and willing in my bed and not stealing from me.”
Charlie Harrington is the Mr-Goody-Two-Shoes mayor of Blue Ridge, and loving dad of Lucy. He lives a pretty straight forward life and tries to avoid being the subject of scandal. However, his life is turned upside down by a beautiful intruder in his bedroom. The chemistry between them is insane and undeniable, and has Charlie acting all kinds of bad! Unfortunately, things are pretty complicated – not just for him but for her, too.
“We’re total strangers. I know nothing about him, yet this…this feels like I’ve been missing him my entire life.”
Janessa Cruz has arrived in town to make a fresh start with her daughter, Vega. Her heart is fragile and she’s sparing with her trust but, somehow, the handsome mayor gets under her skin and she can’t stay away from him. She’s keen to make her own way in the world, without favours, but her past is catching up with her, and her present feels threatened.
“I want to mark her heart like she’s marked mine.”
This was a sizzler of a novel! I loved the chemistry between Charlie and Janessa. There was something between them from the first moment they met. They’d both been burnt by love and were wary about trusting people. They’d both been burnt by the harsh glare of scandal and rightly wanted to shield themselves from town gossip. My heart went out to them both and I was rooting for them all the way! I adored Charlie! He was pretty swoony! I loved their sweet, wise daughters and their tight friendship, and I laughed at the Harrington brothers’ antics. Looking forward to the final book!

She will do whatever it takes to protect her daughter and family even if it means hiding her true desires and ambitions. A chance meeting, flames not sparks and oh so much chemistry then the lovely Jan disappears. They soon realize that their lives are intertwined and they each have a past that needs to be resolved before they can ever dream of a future !! L.B. Dunbar leaves me saying “Gimme Gimme Gimme” to myself every time I finish a book in the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series. I have been waiting for this small-town silver Mayor’s story and I will say that Charlie Harrington … I mean L.B. Dunbar did not disappoint.
Charlie, a single father, who is successful and respected in his community has to decide what truly matters in life which is doing what others want or doing what will make him happy. Charlie is my favorite Harrington brother, I never thought I would say that after being introduced to Giant Harrington. Mayor McSteamy sure added the heat, heart, and home to this wonderful romance.
Janessa Cruz, a single mom, returns home for a safe and quiet new beginning. It’s hard to go unnoticed when you catch the eye of the town’s mayor. Why would Jan want to go unnoticed when she’s around Charlie who has her body screaming anytime that she is around him?
Silver Mayor is a sinfully spicey read but my attention was grabbed when it came to family and how they find a way to joke around and be there for each other. Charlie’s love for his daughter tugged at my heart. The glimpses of the last Harrington brother, James, is perfectly teased throughout the story and leaves me wanting for more. Desire, Love, Family, and a Second Chance for Happily Ever After is everything that I enjoyed and why I would recommend reading this book and this series.

“Silver Mayor” is my first book from L.B. Dunbar. I’m finding that I like books featuring an older man, so I though to give this one a try. For some reason, I thought that this was an age-gap romance, but it turned out not to be. Having main characters that are above 40 was a nice change for what I normally read!
Janessa moved to Blue Ridge with her daughter, Vega, after divorcing her cheating ex-husband. Wanting to start a new life away from him, she decides to stay with her parents. Charlie is the mayor of Blue Ridge. A single parent himself, he does everything in his powers to keep showing his daughter, Lucy, that she’s loved. Lucy’s mother has always been absent, more concern about her political carrier than her daughter. When Charlie founds Janessa in his room, he’s both curious and attracted to her. After that is a series of moments that will ultimately lead to their HEA!
I really enjoyed the story. The book is full of sexy moments between Janessa and Charlie, as well as enough drama to keep things interesting. I was right there with them, rooting for their relationship to succeed. My heart broke for Vega and Lucy and how their estranged parents treated them. This small town and its people stole my heart and peaked my interest about the rest of the Harrington siblings! I’m happy to find out that there are more books in this series!!

The Harrington’s are back!! There is something so endearing L.B. Dunbar’s small town series that I’ve gobbled them all up. And Silver Mayor is no exception.
From the first heated time Charlie and Jan met I knew these two were going to be dynamite…and I was right! I loved both of these main characters. Nessa for her strength and finding the courage to get herself and her daughter out of a bad situation. Charlie for his dedication to his daughter and town. They had both loved and lost. Badly. Publicly. They were both lonely. And when they were in the same vicinity, neither one could keep their hands to themselves.
Nessa and Charlie steamed it up all over town and then some. As compatible as they were between the sheets, and up against the wall and…you get the point…they also connected on a deeper level. It didn’t hurt that their kids became fast friends. But Nessa didn’t want to embarrass herself or her daughter. And Charlie had to save face in front of the town. Throw a few scheming and downright nasty exes into the mix and it was a recipe for the drama neither of them wanted.
Full of charm and steam and longing, Silver Mayor was completely addicting. Nessa and Charlie kept me on my toes. I loved the push and pull. The desire that I could feel pulsing off the page. The want they both had to be enough as they were. The way they found someone who would fight for and with them. The way they found true love in each other. And that ending! Gah! It was misty eyed and fluttering belly perfection.

I don’t think I have read a story about divorced, single parents like this one before. I LOVED IT!
Nessa and Charlie have instant chemistry – from their first awkward meeting in his bedroom! They lose their minds, and their clothes around each other – A LOT! There are some complications along the way, but it is worth it in the end.
You don’t necessarily have to read any of the other books in the series to read this one, but this should make you want to read them.

L.B. Dunbar writes realistic and relatable mature characters that experience real life situations that deeply reach me.
The portrayal of Janessa and “goody two shoes” Charlie was refreshing and unique. I loved the fact that they were from two different worlds yet not different in so many ways. Their chemistry sizzled and Charlie added a lot to that. Nessa couldn’t help herself with him. Single parents, each with their own daughters who were the same age and became friends. They each dealt with situations and difficulties that added to their ultimately reaching their HEA. I loved their story!

I really enjoy this series and this was a great installment to the series. I liked Charlie more than I thought I would. He does make you want to smack him once in awhile because he is a man. Then he easily makes you swoon and redeems himself. He’s a single dad and you can tell how much he loves his daughter. Janessa is going to pull at your heartstrings. She deserves some happiness in her life for her and her daughter. Moving to Blue Ridge is going to surprise Janessa in more ways than she could have ever imagined. One thing I really loved about this book was the humor. I laughed quite often especially when the Harrington boys get together. This book has plenty of heat that burns up the pages. Janessa and Charlie have a ton of chemistry. Janessa deserves someone like Charlie and his family in her corner. This book has plenty of feels which makes the end of this one bring a tear to my eye. The epilogue is so perfect and the best way to end this book. A must read!

The next Harrington, Charlie, although considered to be the “good one” is actually a bit of a “bad boy”. He has been a single dad for some time now but also the mayor of Blue Ridge. One day he enters his room to find a woman there who is not only a stranger but also a siren to him of sorts.
Janessa is now a single mom and she is forced to return to live with her parents along with her daughter and start all over again at 43.
The draw between them is undeniable but both of them choose to fight this attraction as they do not see a relationship in their future.
L.B. Dunbar has added a bit more steam in this Silver Fox story but there is still so much angst and emotion that you will feel it from the tips of your toes to the depths of your heart and to that very special spot on your neck – you know the one I mean.

This review has taken me days to write because once I write this review it’s acknowledging that Charlie & Janessa’s story is over. And I’m not ready for their story to be over. Silver Mayor is hands down my favorite book by L.B. Dunbar & my favorite silver fox book of all time. This book was perfection!
Charlie was a swoon worthy single dad just trying to take care of his daughter & his town the best way he could. Janessa has come home after an ugly divorce, a single mom looking to put her & her daughter’s life back together again. Together Charlie & Janessa go through a couple up & downs during their journey, but it’s worth it in the end.

SILVER MAYOR is the third book in the “Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge” series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone. This series is about a diverse family of brothers, each different, all interesting.
Being a lady of a certain age, I am enjoying the “mature” element of this series. It has a youthful jubilation with a mature undertone. Strong women who know what they will and will not accept in life while not willing to compromise their values and the men who believe in them.
Well written, clearly drawn characters had me feeling all different emotions. Janessa and Charlie are an interesting couple to watch develop. The secondary characters added dimension and humor to the story and I was fully entertained from beginning to end.
I absolutely recommend this book, this series and this author.

L B Dunbar did it again, she made me laugh, cry and kind of fall in love ….
Charlie the silver mayor is a really good guy, great dad and community leader. Janessa, a recently divorced mom, starting over trying to make a good life for her daughter. Charlie and Janessa have something in common: they have both been thru really cold uncaring first marriages and neither are looking for love
Their Instant hot, steamy attraction/chemistry is masterfully written into this story, so is the conflict, guilt, personal growth and love these two find. Like the other Blue Ridge books , there is a full cast of delightful supporting characters.
This story will leave the reader smiling!
