The steeper the slopes, the higher the stakes.RebelI don’t want a lot out of life, but what I do want is simple. A successful alpine racing career, great friends, and an amazing, loyal husband. My gut tells me it’s all within reach, especially now I’ve met a certain someone. Rhett Keane. Okay, so he’s quiet… and a little negative, but a deep instinct tells me he’s “The One.” Spending time … One.” Spending time together up at the Lodge, tucked away in a romantic mountain setting… perfection!
But just when I thought Elle and Ethan had tied up all those crazy threads down in the Village, weird stuff starts happening to us. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I even feel like I’m being followed…
Rhett
I’m perfectly happy on my own. I tried the whole relationship thing and the wounds have only just healed. At first I wasn’t sure why Rebel Berg was spending so much time with me. It’s not like I’m some kind of charity case. I swear… I’m fine alone. But when I finally open my heart, I realize how much better I am with her.
As much as I wanted to avoid all the drama from the Village, it seems to have followed us here. After a couple scary close-calls, I’m convinced. A group or person has targeted the Unity Games. My only priority now is to keep Rebel safe, and if that means leaving, so be it. I hope we don’t run out of time before we can make it off this mountain…

Silver picks up where Bronze left off. Loved Bronze and love Silver even more. You have to read Bronze before Silver, because if you don’t the story just doesn’t seem to click and will leave you wondering, This book is About Rebel and Rhett. Two complete opposites. But you know what they say…opposites attract. This story builds up slowly but when it takes off, you cannot turn the pages fast enough only to find you have another of a doozy cliffhanger. I definitely recommend this series to everyone. I received this book as an ARC and voluntarily chose to leave a review. This is my honest opinion of this book.
Wow Silver ends on a doozie of a cliffhanger! I really enjoyed reading this book. I think the Bronze set up Silver so you do need to read the first book in the Dangerous Games Series.
The setting for this series is kind of like the Winter Olympics called the Unity Games. Where these very competitive men and women are all in Italy for two weeks. They compete for a LOT of money.
There is a lot of suspense surrounding these games and a lot of romancing going on too. Elle and Ethan from Bronze stay down in the village and in Silver the story takes them up the mountain for Rebel Berg and Rhett Keane’s sport takes them.
Silver held my attention and I gobbled this book up! Now I can’t wait for Gold to come out. Fortunately, not to long of a wait. Gold will be out at the end of January.
I give 4.5 stars to Silver
Silver is a great addition to this already wonderful series! This one is about Rebel and Rhett. Rebel is a phenomenal athlete, but she is even a better person. She also considers other people’s feelings, and she always tries to include others. In the first book, she was greatly responsible for Claire coming out of her shell. I always thought she had a crush on Rhett in the first book, and I was right. She thinks Rhett could be “the one.” However, that might be hard because Rhett doesn’t interact much with others. He is quiet and keeps mostly to himself. Rebel may just be the woman to change that. He finds himself feeling things he hasn’t felt before. Those feelings grow the more time they spend together. But, danger lurks around every corner, so neither may survive to finally get the HEA they so deserve.
Huxley raises the suspense even more in Silver. More dangerous and suspicious things are happening. The mystery deepens, and again, I thought I knew what direction the book was going, and Huxley would pull out another surprise. I LOVED it!!!! I’m not sure which characters to trust.
The romance, mystery, and suspense were a perfect combination. While the story between Rebel and Rhett was heating up, the author was also building up two more potential romances. Not many writers can do that without taking away from the central story, but Huxley added to it. And, the ending…..WOW!!! She definitely has me waiting on the next book. Thank goodness it won’t be long!!!!
