James Harrington. That’s my name, my birthright, and my curse. I didn’t always hate being a Harrington. At one time, I took it as a privilege. I used it to my advantage. But a name doesn’t stop you from losing everything, and after six haunting years, that everything is back forcing me to face the past or give up a future.Evie Harrington.I bet you didn’t know about me because James doesn’t talk … me because James doesn’t talk about me. Or to me. We had it all and I was never happier. My family was my entire world, but that world shattered. When faced with the unimaginable, is there a way to put the pieces back together? After six painful years, it’s time to accept our history and move forward or move on from one another.
It’s the final Harrington brother, so hold onto your hearts. Silver Biker is going to be a bumpy ride.

Oh, what a story. Ranger and Evie meet, fall in lust, make a baby, get married, fall in love and then tragedy strikes and they just fall. He’s a Harrington and she’s a Fitzpatrick – her parents were not fans and begged her marry someone they approved of – she went against them.
Now, years later they are in their mid to late 40s and Evie is back asking for a divorce after being separated for 6 years.
“I’m still the one holding on.”
“I can’t exist in this world without her.”
He wants to hold on but doesn’t know how without being reminded of what happened.
“I hold her as if I can pull her inside me where she already live, in my heart.”
You are going to feel so many emotions when you’re reading this one. The flashbacks were amazing and perfectly placed throughout the story. I couldn’t put this one down. You wanted to root for these two and just find some sense of happiness whatever that may be.
Silver Biker is the 4th book in The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge Series. Each of these books can be read as a standalone but they are all interconnected books of brothers. This time it is James Harrington’s & Evelyn “Evie” Fitzpatrick Harrington’s story.
Evie is back for a divorce. James will give it to her if she sleeps with him. She left him 19 years ago after the death of their son.
James hasn’t been able to move on since his son’s death and this is Evie and James journey to healing.
I have loved this series since the beginning! It’s great to read romance stories of people that are a little closer to my age and these brothers are all Silver Foxes!
I think that you could read these books in any order but to me it is always best to start back with the first book.
Silver Brewer is Olivet Pierson & George (Giant) Harrington
Silver Player is Roxanne McAllister & Billy Harrington
Silver Mayor is Janessa Cruz and Charlie Harrington
I loved reading this second chance romance! 4.5 Stars
Another fantastical story by the always talented L.B. Dunbar. The story of James and Evie is beautifully written. She saved the best Harrington brother for last.
LB Dunbar saved the best for last with this read with the black sheep Harrington brother James. I have wanted his story almost from the start and I finally got it. By far my favorite brother this is the story of second chances, love and sorrow. Well told this book with make you cry and put you back together again. My favorite in the series.
Silver Biker is the fourth and final book in L.B. Dunbar’s Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series. I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, and they have all tugged at my emotions but this one was something else altogether. Have those tissues ready because you will need them.
James has hovered on the edge of the other books in this series. He’s the self-prescribed family outcast, the black sheep, but we’ve never known his full story. Moving between the past and present, Dunbar recounts James and Evie’s story as young couple expecting an unplanned baby through to their six year estrangement following a personal tragedy.
This story had me engrossed from the start and I loved the journey these characters take us on. The attraction and love between James and Evie is evident but they have hit rock bottom, and have stayed there for too long. I felt Dunbar did marvellous job in opening up James and Evie to us readers. It’s messy and painful, yet a riveting tale about a grand love.
I highly recommend this book and this series.

Heartbreaking raw and emotions that will break your heart. This book was such a roller coaster of a journey. Finding closure and learning to love again can be such a painful experience. These two have gone through hell and back only they can choose to have a happy ending. LB did such an incredible job writing this book. It draws you in and touches your soul. The characters are complex but so easy to love. I enjoyed this book so much that I have to say it needs to be on everyone’s TBR.
James and Evie’s story will take you on an emotionally roller coaster ride. There will be ups and the downs will tear your heart open. I was so heartbroken for Evie (Peach). I just wanted to hit James (Ranger) on the head sometimes. James is a great guy but after tragic struck six years ago, he just couldn’t live with the outcome and shuts everyone out in his family including Evie. He is the black sheep of the family and becomes estrange. Evie is struggling as well, and her life will never be the same after the day that took her world away. James copes by taking big risk and not caring if he lives or die. You think James will get his life back together and fight for Evie, but then other obstacle gets in the way. Evie can only take so much considering they have been separated and in different towns for six years. During an event is the last straw that her life with James is over. She sees he does not want her anymore less look her in the eyes. Will James get the chance to fight for Evie and not push her away like he did six years ago? Is he just going to let her slip threw his fingers when he has a lot explaining to do? Will Evie give James the chance to tell his side of the story and let her know he has never stopped loving her? You will not be disappointed in this ready. You should be prepared with a box of tissues. I volunteer to read ARC for an honest review
Do you want to laugh while you read? Cry? Scream? Sigh? Do you want to have your heart crushed and then put right back together again? If you answered yes, go get Silver Biker by LB Dunbar. This book is all of these things. Warning you may even blush a little during the sexy times!
This book is part of a collection called The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge. Silver Biker is book four but does not have to be read in order. After you read this one you WILL want to get the others because…GAH! SILVER FOXES!! and you will just need to have all of Dunbar’s books.
James & Evie’s story is my favorite book of this series. And I have to say my new favorite book by L.B. Dunbar! It was definitely worth wait.
James & Evie’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. There was so many moments that I felt for both of them. My heart hurt for them. I don’t want to ruin the story except to say have tissues handy.
I am sad that this series is ending because nobody does a silver fox story better than L.B. Dunbar! I can’t wait to see what she will come up with next.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
From the time we met Mati in Second Chance and all through the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge, we’ve caught snippets of the black sheep. Each story gave us more and more about James that we didn’t know. I, personally, was completely captivated by what his story might be. He was elusive, gruff, and mysterious. We thought for sure he’d end up with Dolores. But this story ended up being so much more than I expected and everything I ever wanted. It’s been years and there has been a great deal of pain between James and Evie. Tragedy sometimes holds people together and other times it tears them apart. Can these two find their way to each other again? Or is the pain and guilt they both hold so close to their vests be the catalyst to their end. This story was steamy as heck and packed a huge emotional punch and I loved every single moment of the ride.
I have loved the characters of this series as we have worked our way through but I was very excited for James’s story. The hurt and pain were pouring off this man, he needs to find some happiness. But I don’t want the series to be over…. I’m so torn. Are you ready for a book full of emotional angst and heartbreak?
James has done everything that he can to estrange himself from the people who mean the most to him. Lost in his grief and guilt he holds from the loss of his son. Finding a new normal with his work at the firehall and his new found family in the motorcycle club. Holding carefully to the small fibers that keep him grounded to the family he still loves. When Evie comes back to town, he is thrown for another tailspin.
Evie has had to work through her loss alone all these years. Ready to move on, she has one final step and she is back in town to make that happen. Sure she has been successful in her work but something is missing. Will being back in Blue Ridge be too much for her?
When the sparks start to fly Evie begins to question everything. Is she really ready to move on? Or, is her future right here in front of her? Will she be able to pull James from his guilt and help him move forward? Could life have one more twist in store for this couple?

Oh my goodness the stories about the Harrington men just get better and better. I have enjoyed every book in this series but this has to be my favorite. James Harrington is a broken man as he has appeared in the previous books set in Blue Ridge, Georgia. There were hints of his life and estrangements from his family. This book tells the story of his pain and loss and how he tries to get back the good parts of his life. Evie, James’s estranged wife is back in town to end their marriage with hopes of moving on with her life. I loved these characters, both flawed and buried in the emotions of loss, heartbreaking pain, and loneliness. I loved the way the Harrington brothers and their women rallied around Evie and James. I sure hope this isn’t the last Blue Ridge book I want to visit again.
Heartbreaking, heartwarming, happy ever after, wonderful read,
My favorite of The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge Series as well as the Harrington brothers!
This story was heart rendering and palpable with so many deep seeded emotions and captivating characters.
James “Ranger” has been a mysterious black sheep of the family. Estranged in a self inflicted isolation from his brothers and parents. Turning instead to his biker brother family of choice he maintains his distance and wallows in his past and pain with anger. There are so many layers to this enigmatic brooding man and I started out thinking I’d not like him but found myself recognizing that the anger and closed off persona he portrayed masked a deeply rooted loss, guilt and sadness.
Evelyn/Evie “Peach” had suffered the heartbreaking loss and ultimate hurt of rejection. She returned after being separated from James for almost six years, through no real choice of her own, finally determined to put an end to the bitterness and hurt and move on with her life.
I felt deeply for these two damaged people and rode along with them on their bumpy road hoping they’d communicate with each other in an open, honest way to fully reach an understanding and acceptance of their mutual grief. Ultimately, their love was clearly evident and their chemistry was unmistakably palpable.
L.B. Dunbar has written a deeply unique and moving story with realistic tenor and true love at its core!
I’m going to be honest here, I ugly cried throughout most of Silver Biker. I am an emotional wreck right now. I have read all of the Blue Ridge series so I knew the basics of what was to come in James story yet I still wasn’t prepared for this level of angst. James and Evie had an unconventional beginning 19 years ago yet they were deeply attracted to each other and wanted to make their relationship work. They had a really good life together. They didn’t have everything they had hoped for yet they had a pretty great life until everything changed in the blink of an eye. The death of a child affects every couple differently. Some couples will be brought closer together and others will fall apart. Well James and Evie fell apart 6 years ago. James pushed her away and now she is back with a purpose in mind. Does James really want to let her go forever? Can he repair the damage that he has done to his wife over the years? I am going to be straight with you. I didn’t like James throughout most of this story. I wanted to hit him in the head with my Kindle! I however loved Evie and understood her angst with ending a relationship with a man she still loves even though he hasn’t been worth her love. Silver Biker is a story with a lot of layers and I am so glad I read this one even though I still want to hit James with my Kindle! It was told from dual POV and get prepared for an emotional journey with the bad boy of the Harrington’s!
Have you ever read a book that when you turned the last page you thought to yourself I don’t even have words to describe how it affected me. Well that was this book for me. I was not prepared on how this read would put my emotions through the ringer.
It was……
I felt…..
I think…. yep no words.
It is a book that I just say you HAVE to read. It will be on my top 5 list of this year.
I absolutely loved Evie & James Story. It was brutally emotional journey for both characters & the reader. I was up all night reading. I found myself getting frustrated with both Evie & James; but especially Evie because she would misinterpret Rangers actions & at the same time I wanted to smack Ranger for not getting his head out of his bootie. You will be pulling for them to forgive each other & come together but at the same time your heart is breaking for Dolton; because all he ever did was Love Evie. Hold on tight your in for a wild ride; will the prodigal son come home.
Congratulations L.B. Dunbar you should be very proud of silver biker!
Wow! That really pulled at my heartstrings! My heart was heavy for everything Evie and James went through. Their relationship went from zero to sixty in the blink of an eye, until a tragedy happens, then they go from sixty to zero when James pushes Evie away, as if the last thirteen years had meant nothing. Can they rebuild their marriage and start over, or is it too late to heal old wounds? It’s sad saying goodbye to the Harrington family, but I know L.B. Dunbar will write more great novels for us to fall in love with.
A touching and emotional story of loss, heartbreak, forgiveness (of others and self),and healing.
This is the first in the series I have read, and while it took me a little to get into the story in the beginning, this author made up for that when the “meat” of the story began. There were moments I found myself tearing up, other times, I was left smiling.
The lessons you take away from this are the kind you can and should use in your daily life. When you make promises, stick to them. Cling to the ones you love, even if you don’t feel like doing it. Don’t push them away. And when you know someone is hurting, be there for them. Communicate! Be ready to forgive.
Blame is something we always try to find a way to put on ourselves or others, but sometimes, it is not any one person’s fault. Things happen. Accidents occur. Life does move on, even during the times of sorrow. All these are things our characters learn throughout this story.
I am glad I read this one. It was a solid story, emotionally gripping in several moments, and true to romance, our characters do find happiness again.
This is James and Evie’s story. James is the “black sheep” of his family, which was is by his own choice and not what his loving family wanted. Evie and James met when he was a park ranger and she was hiking on a local trail, and they are soulmates, however when a tragedy strikes, he pushes her away. Now Evie is back in town wanting closure from her marriage to James, to enable her to move on with her life. However, James is not in a good place and he is a sad and broken and lonely man, who seems to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, but they find that the chemistry is still as intense as it always was. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, as well as being a raw, gritty, and heart-wrenching tale, and having loss, grief, drama, angst, heartbreak, and unconditional love. I was totally captivated throughout this riveting tale, and I highly recommend for all readers. This talented author has done an outstanding job in penning this tale, and I look forward to reading more from her.
