Their love was an unexpected gift. Can it last?Christmas, wonderful as it is, can also be a time when losses, failures, and secret hurts hit extra close to home. It certainly is for Bryn Hale and Sean Carson, two strangers traveling a lonely stretch of highway in a brutal snowstorm. Divorced by her husband because of her inability to have children, and devalued by her family who sympathize … inability to have children, and devalued by her family who sympathize with her ex, Bryn believes all the negative things she’s been told about herself. She decided long ago that love and marriage are permanently off the table.
Special event organizer Sean Carson is mourning the loss of a dream. Officially separated for six months, he finally knows beyond doubt that the woman he was with for ten years doesn’t love him and maybe never has. All he wants is to love fully, totally and forever—and to have someone love him the same way. But does that kind of relationship even exist?
When a car accident forces their introduction and lands Bryn and Sean together at magical River’s Sigh B & B, Sean finds himself smitten. Bryn feels the attraction too, but her desire for self-protection runs deep. Plus, Sean has tipped his hand. He wants kids. It only makes sense for them to go their separate ways, but matters of the heart don’t always follow logic. Bryn musters her courage and lets herself fall for Sean.
Then Sean gets terrible-wonderful news from his ex: he’s going to be a dad. What will he do? Be the loyal, stand-by-your-woman man he’s always thought he was and go back to her—or keep his promise to Bryn?

Silver Bells is a delightful story filled with love, laughter, and light that left me feeling as if everything in the world is all right.
Bishop pulled me into a cold, winter’s night a few days before Christmas, and started her story . The heroine Bryn is traveling to be with her family for the holidays but her mind is filled with memories of her last boyfriend who had left her feeling inadequate. As the storm worsens Bryn pulls to the side of the road and witnesses a truck spinning out of control. Despite the blizzard conditions, despite being a woman alone, despite it being dark outside … well, despite everything she gets out of her car to check on the driver of the other vehicle which had run off the road.
Bryn meets Sean, a diamond in the snow, you might say, and they fall in love. Their love story isn’t easy and there’s a heart-wrenching twist that I won’t give away. I warn you, it’s a real page-turner.
Ev Bishop writes memorable romance, with very real characters and lots of love.
This was a wonderful story about a man and a woman who got stranded at the same place due to separate accidents. They end up having to share a cabin. They learn a lot about each other’s lives and end up really liking one another. Things happen that cause problems for them but everything works out in the end. I loved the descriptions of the people and the places. It felt like you could just step right into the book and be there and enjoy the atmosphere right along with all the other characters in the book. I just purchased the next book in the series and put the remainder on my wish list.
It does not get much better than Christmas at River’s Sign B & B. Bryn cannot see to drive further. Sean careens off the road in the storm. Together they make it to River’s Sign B & B. This story is novella length but the characters and situation are extremely well developed. Two broken souls, distant family, disappointments about children – can all be resolved at River’s Sigh? Sweet romance I could not put down.
5. Book 5: Silver Bells: 5 stars
I received a free copy of Silver Bells: River’s Sigh B & B: Book 5 by EV Bishop in the collective work Mistletoe Kisses and this review was given freely.
The Author continues her trend of well written and easy flowing sweet romances in this Christmastime chance encounter. Two broken relationships, distant family and a controversy about children peppered with attraction, love and humor result in a heart warming novella with a happy ending.
6. Book 6: Reeling- not read
7. Book 7: New Year’s Resolution: One to Keep: 4 stars
I received a free copy of New Year’s Resolution: One To Keep: River’s Sigh B & B : Book 7 by Ev Bishop and this review was given freely.
Jesse and Sophie’s story is both sweet and steamy with a little irony, jealousy, and a couple healing hearts thrown in. One To Keep is a nice holiday romance loosely connecting us to the original characters in the River Sigh saga featuring Callum’s brother Brian’s sister in law kindergarten teacher Sophie and Greenridge resident Jesse. Focused mainly on Sophie and Jesse alone at River Sigh the novel reminded me that playing in the snow can be fun at any age and that beautiful things can happen when you open yourself up to the unexpected.
8. Book 8: The Catch:5 stars
I received a free copy of the novel The Catch: River’s Sigh B & B: Book 8 by Ev Bishop and this review was given freely.
A heartwarming friends to more romance featuring wrong first impressions and the struggle to find fulfillment in both work and love. Tired of his nomadic life and regretting not knowing his 10 year old daughter Emily, quiet gentle giant Jase Scott and his party loving foster brother Colton head to the north east to River Sleigh Inn, Greenridge where they meet the dissatisfied single mom Aisha who is weighing the benefits of leaving the haven of minnow cabin to open a second chance shop to secure a better future for her 4 year old daughter.
Contains the cute and precocious four year old Mo; two darling abandoned puppies; a sweet romance where the couple struggle with trust because of their messy pasts; dark undertones in the form of low self-esteem, drug use

Silver Bells is a beautiful though not long enough for me love story. That would be saying nothing about this inspirational book because it’s so much more to it. Fate brings together two wonderful people, Bryn and Sean, so damaged by their exes and other people who were supposed to love them, in a snowstormy night to fix their past issues by second chance?
Absolutely wonderful thoughtful delightful story line and well developed realistic characters, let alone beautiful setting of River’s Sigh B&B I was so happy to visit again.
I have an afterthought about how a well meant comments can hurt deeply a person those comments are directed to because you’ll never know what they were experiencing in life unless they tell you.
I highly recommend this series and am visiting next story straight away!
Fate brought these two together with a snow storm, both are going through the loss of breakups , family issues , both trying to get to a destination for Christmas only to be stranded at the B&B. Fate has plans , a Christmas miracle at play, really enjoyed this story!
A very sweet and moving story.
These days my reading preferences tend towards more spicy stories and mostly in the M/M Romance genre. That said, I have a few favorite authors whose stories I will always read and Ev Bishop is one of those authors. I’ve been a huge fan of her River’s Sigh B & B since the first book came out in January 2015.
Bryn and Sean meet on a snowy night just before Christmas. They are both stranded in a snow storm and end up sharing the only cabin available at River’s Sigh B & B. Bryn is suffering from very low self-esteem due to her jerk of an ex-husband. Sean is tired of the treatment he’s received from his off-again-on-again girlfriend. Something almost magical seems to happen to them while they are at River’s Sigh.
This story had me in tears at many places; sad tears at times for Bryn and Sean and sometime happy tears for them; that’s my favorite kind of story. While I would classify Silver Bells as mostly a sweet story it also has a hint of spice in places.
For a relatively short novella the story really packed a punch for me. Sean and Bryn are perfect for each other but a relationship between them just can’t be that easy; a bit of conflict is inevitable but the ending to this story is perfect. And, if you like epilogues as much as I do, Ev Bishop has written a wonderful one for Bryn and Sean; it was just perfect!
I’m ready for more River’s Sign B & B stories, Ev. Are you listening? I wish that River’s Sign B & B was a real place that I could go visit.
I liked the book taking place in snowy winter. It was a nice story. My only complant was I wish it was longer with more charture develpment.
Bryn is headed home to visit with her family when she runs into a blinding snow storm. As she tries to shelter from the storm, a truck almost hits her car, but instead careens in a different direction. The driver, Sean, isn’t hurt, but he is stunned. Bryn goes to see if the driver is OK. They walk to find shelter and find love instead. This is a well written book and I really enjoyed it. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I look forward to seeking out her books.
