Great Story & Narration Captivating & Heartfelt!
Silent Luna
By: Sabrina Noury
Narrated by: Scottie Calif
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it to the very end. Sabrina Noury’s shifter story is original, it is imaginative yet she shows mostly the human side of the shifters. The characters are complex and well developed, they are easy to relate to and the world dynamics is easy to follow and understand. Grace is found in the woods outside pack territory, she was injured and in wolf form, not knowing how to shift back to a human. The shifters who find her coach her to shift back, she is weak and injured and the Alpha of the Pack, James, recognizes her as his mate. Grace was taken from her pack when she was eight years old and held captive by her captives and abusers for 10 years, she escaped her captivity but she can not escape her nightmares. I loved how patient James was with her, understanding that she suffered PTSD and had to win her trust. She did not speak yet he had little problem communicating with her. He was happy to have finally found his mate and was accepting of her regardless of what she had been through. She can only give him pieces of the puzzle of what happened to her and who she really is, when someone mentions a name of her past it comes back to her. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how they find out who she is and why she was taken and who was behind it. It is all plotted out nicely, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, lots of heartfelt and moving moments, some suspenseful moments and a slow burn romance between the Alpha and his Luna. I did feel the ending was rushed and while I liked how it ended I did not like how it came about, I feel like Grace missed her justice but then again maybe she didn’t and this was the best way to go for her, maybe I just missed my justice. LOL! This was my Sabrina Noury book and it will not be my last, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to checking out more of your work.
I listened to the Audible edition, Scottie Calif is a terrific narrator and voice artist. She does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work, she captures the character’s emotions and projects it into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen
I really liked this book. I tend to lean towards books with main characters moving on from tragic pasts. I had mixed feelings about the ending but the overall read was fairly captivating.
I loved this book its one of my favorites. Before she published the book i read it on wattpad and it was awesome. I would highly recommend this book if you like werewolf/ Romance books.
