“Way more intense than I was ready for. I couldn’t put this book down!” ★★★★★He claims he loves me. Strokes my cheek and smiles as he promises whatever I desire. But first, I must submit. Not only to him, but to two other virulent and terrible men. That is the bargain the three of them made between themselves. But I never agreed to this. I never agreed to forever.Branded Captive: Wren’s Song Book … I never agreed to forever.
Branded Captive: Wren’s Song Book 1 is a dark, sinister Omegaverse Reverse Harem tale for those with twisted tastes and a love for unabashed bad boys. Complete power exchange dominates these pages, as do THREE smoking-hot Alpha antiheroes.

When Addison Cain sets out to write something dark, nearly pitch black, she succeeds. We pick up with Wren and Caspien’s pack right where we left them. Wren starts to learn the truth of her captivity and the Alphas’ intentions: no one and no place is safe… and, Caspien rules all. But, I wonder if all is as it seems and Wren isn’t actually manipulating them in ways these Alphas could never have imagined.
If you’re not afraid to take a walk on the very dark side, start with Branded Captive (Wren’s Song Book 1).
I really love anything Addison Cain writes. I especially love her female characters, strong, independent and prone to surprise the dominating yet sometimes stupid Alphas. This is not a romance novel, but a dark, twisted and very intense story. Please consider this before reading.
Following from where we left off in Branded Captive, Wren is introduced to her new hovel aka the three Alphas love nest, already saturated in several omegas slick. This does not make a happy omega, but Wren is ready to endure anything, if it means saving her two adopted boys. The three Alphas are so twisted, each with their own agenda, but when they work together they are a force to be reckoned with. And Wren is caught right between them on the same night.
But as Wren is learning how to handle three very lethal Alphas, they will likewise learn not to mess with the omega, as she might actually bite back.
Silent Captive in the second installment in Wrens Omega Series. This is the latest book from the Queen of Omega Verse genre. This is a really dark twisted story of how Wrens is getting to learn more about her alphas and their individual personalities and twisted sexual pleasures. If you want an unpredictable story with dark twisted, yet awesome sex scenes, then this is your book. I promise you won’t be disappointed, this is a MUST read.
~ Learning to play the captive game ~
—>>> At the mercy of three powerful Alphas, Wren as their “mouse” is caught firmly in their depraved clutches, especially as they know exactly how to tighten the cage around her firmly to get her to dance to their tune. This is the book which will illuminate their true natures and characters more fully, but make no mistake, it is more brutally and intensely sexual than the first book. This trio of Alphas did not manage to control most of their turf without being more dangerous than those around them. And this Omega is willing to do whatever it takes for her survival, for a deal is a deal. I cannot wait to see how this series ends!
I cannot tell how much I loved this diversion from Addison Cain. Her stories are filled with strong female leads and demanding Alphas, sure, but the Alphas are generally possessive and haunted by the female Omegas. Wren is haunting, but the Alpha’s in this story are just as quick to toss her aside, into the mud, as her supposed-to-be-mate.
Caspian, Keiran, and Toby heal Wren’s wounds just to break them open again. If anyone is going to scar her, it’s going to be them. They’ll demand a song she can’t sing on notes she can’t hit. Suffering is the verse and tears, the chorus.
This story is dark and harsh chock full of abrasive non-con (trigger warning). This story is also incredibly well built. The characters have dimension and motives all their own, unique to themselves. The world is descript and tangible. I loved every second (of which, I wish there were more- I plowed through this thing in a night).
I am still trying to wrap my head around what I just read.
Hoping that this second part of Wrens story would bring her some relieve, a semblance of stability, I quickly found out what really would be happening.
Caspian, Kieran and Toby are still at their cruel games and even when it seems that Wren gets a small amount of happiness, she is quickly taught the opposite is to be her future.
I have to step back and think about what was so gripping about this story.
I’ll be back!
Hello again!
Now I know what kept me glued to my tablet. It was the relentless and predictable disregard of human needs, the hopelessness of a person caught in a situation she has no influence over. And still, in her worst predicament she does not break, but takes what little joy she can get.
Her real strength comes to the surface when the one thing she values the most is in danger.
Although this story is hard to read at times, I could not put it down, hoping that something would change … !
Turns out I have to wait for the next book. Cruel!
Ms. Cain delivers another raunchy, sexy tale full of devious acts and delicious drama! In Silent Captive we see some real character development from the Alphas; their tics, their soft spots, and a hint of just how far they’re willing to go to get what they want. Wren shows her true strength, how far she’s willing to go to protect those dearest to her, and just how bad ass she really is. One star is reduced for a somewhat cliche inclusion in the story, but it didn’t take away too much for me from the whole.
This is definitely not a sweet romance! It’s hard, brutal, slammed up against a wall when you least expect it sort of tale. So far there’s violence, lust, and pain, but we can only hope that as Wren’s story continues we find a glimmer of hope in all that mud.
Wrens song book 2 was gritty, harsh and at times unforgiving!!!! if you’re looking for your typical romance book look the other way. while this book may give you butterflies at times some elements may also show up in your nightmares.
Wren in my opinion is the strongest Omega Addison Cain has written about thus far. she takes so much from the alphas without missing a beat, and she’s doing it for such unselfish reasons. she is silent and sweet but no one could ever call her meek. Wren literally goes to hell and back for her “boys” without saying a word!!!!!! freaking amazing!!!! but what happens when alphas push an omaga to far??
The alphas I don’t even know what to say……from the first alpha to the third alpha they are all considerably f***** up and mental. now where they can be sweet, condescendingly so, they are all grit and completely diabolical!!! so where is there Redemption when will it come?
This book had me squirming in my seat while also wanting to cry and it’s absolutely amazing!!! some lessons can actually be taken from the strong but silent Wren. Addison Cain never disappoints, it may hurt your feelings but you will not be disappointed in this book.
I started off in love, ended in Hate and I’m ready to love again!!!
The second book in the series and you need to have read to first book, otherwise the story won’t make any sense.
The story continues straight after the first book ended with Wren being taken to Caspian kingdom. I felt this book was a lot darker then the first one. I really felt for Wren.
We get to see more of the three Alpha’s, we learn more about their characters and motives. There were some surprises in there. But I still don’t like any of them. So far they show no redeeming qualities and have no respect for Wren or any other female.
Wren is struggling to survive and does what she needs to do, but she is also conflicted about her feelings or how her body reacts to what is being done to her. I enjoyed seeing Wren getting more sure of herself and how to deal with these Alphas.
These characters are very really layered and complex.
WOW! What a super dark continuation of Addison Cain’s newest Omegaverse series. Silent Captive is very dark and not at all a romance (not even a dark romance). This is straight up darkness on another level. To be honest I’m not sure how I feel about this second book, okay, I’m going to be really honest, it was too dark for me. I had a hard time reading through the sex scenes which has crossed over the “okay, she really did want it” line because Wren DOES not want the attentions of her three Alphas. I totally understand why the story is going in the direction it is going. This is not going to end with an HEA, this is not a romance, this is nightmare territory. It’s basically a horror story and you need to be warned if you think you are going to get a Claire/Sheppard type of messed up love because you are not, love has been checked at the door and is being put away in the coat closet.
Wren has sold herself to save the two young boys she is raising from The Syndicate. She is an adult woman that has made the decision to give up her life in order to make sure her young boys are safe to grow up and live their lives free of being forced into working for The Syndicate. That plan backfires spectacularly in Wren’s face and it only take just one night with her three captors to figure out that she is very screwed (literally and figuratively). Caspian, Kieran and Toby are a whole new level of f*cked up. These boys do not know how to play nice and they love to destroy their new toys and Wren is caught in the cross-fire of all three men’s super f*cked up desires. Wren is a woman who was thrown away by a society that only caters to the rich and entitled (Alphas). Wren’s plight horrified me. She is a woman who has nowhere to run and no one to turn to for help. She has to survive the only way she can and that includes being sexually abused and raped by men who think she is only alive to serve their needs and breed their offspring. I honestly do not see a way out of her situation that does not include her dying but I hope she at least is able to take down Caspian and his two minions.
As I stated above, this book was too dark for me and to be honest I have been taking a step back from dark romances lately. I think a lot has to do with today’s political climate and how the Handmaid’s Tale has basically turned into reality TV. I’m giving this story 4.5 stars even though there were sections that I had to skim over because they were too much for me and it was too dark for me, because I really like how Addison Cain pushes the limits in her novels and that she dares to be different and unapologetic about the stories she tells. That’s what keeps me coming back to her stories, I know they are going to be dark but just how far into the darkness is she going to take the reader and do I have the balls to keep reading.
This book is hard to read but I couldn’t put it down. This is one of my guilty pleasures.
The story of Wren is hard breaking, she is so strong and resilient. The love she has for her boys.
I hate the way the omegas are treated in this world. And I love to hate the three alphas.
They think they are right and have the right to everything including people.
The way the use and abuse her is disturbing, the way the manipulate her body is hard to witness and you suffer along her.
But she has clear her end goal and that is all that matters to her. She is a survivor.
I hope I can see them suffer and that Wren can gain some power.
“Silent Captive” is part two of the Wren (Jax), Caspian, Kieran, and Toby saga and it is just that. Story 2 was absolutely amazing. We are treated to the absolute strength of Wren and her love for her boys. The men are filthy in all the right ways, just with far less mud. And each of them is unique to the other but together, they make for a strong triumvirate that only an omega like Jax could tie together (but that’s wishful thinking). It’s a tossup at this point as to which of Addison Cain’s series I’m enjoying more but I’m finding this reverse harem series strangely compelling and I am absolutely teamJax.
This book is a wild, crazy, dark, and demented ride, but I also couldn’t put it down. After the first book I didn’t completely hate Caspian, but I changed my tune a bit more with this one and ended up liking Toby better after this book. He changed my opinion of him with how he kept saying Wren was special and he wanted to keep her. Tho he is also a very sick and disturbed Alpha at the same time. Kieran i still dont like (I keep wanting to bash all the alphas heads in). Tho the author gives you a very tiny glimpse of why he is the way he is. Overall I loved it, but I also love dark romances. If you don’t like taking a visit to the dark side of things don’t read this book. But if you don’t mind visiting the dark side (you know they have cookies lol) then this book is totally one you want to try!
The first book: The main character are Caspian, Kieran, and Toby.Wren fights even though that she cannot possibly win.Silent Captive:This one focuses on all three of the Alphas sexually interacting with Wren in the same night with all of them present.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Addison Cain is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Smiles, winks, hugs, sweet kisses ??? NOT HERE you won’t !! This is knock down, drag out, sex like you’ve never read before – or for that matter had before. Wren is a survivor who is constantly challenged by not 1 – not 2 – but 3 major alphas who are bound and determined to break her. Wren can’t speak but in this instance it really doesn’t matter because she definately gets her thoughts across to these 3 hard headed beasts. And if their not careful they may not ever wake up. Ever hear of the “Burning Bed”?? We haven’t heard the last of Wren yet. Beaten, yes BUT NEVER totally broken.
5 I really need to be committed Stars
No seriously, I either need to be committed or I need an intervention because apparently years of therapy trying to deal with a tumultuous childhood is NOT getting me any closer to discovering why I am drawn to some of the craziest stuff I have ever read. I am trying to come up with words that can describe my feelings on this book (or really anything this author writes) Gobsmacked. Nope. Astonished. Nope. Dumbfounded. Close. Flabbergasted. Closer. Titillated. Definitely. Yet, none of these words quite fit when it comes to this author when I try and put my feelings for what she does into words. This leaves me frustrated because when I was getting my literature degree the Thesaurus and increasing my vocabulary was essential to not sound repetitive. Yet, here I am unable to articulate my feelings in words. Instead, I just keep repeating my favorite phrase, “HOLY TITFIRE” as I am scratching my head wondering if I need to go in search of absolution from Father John Francis this week (Sidenote I am no longer Catholic, so that is troubling in itself) because only bad Bad BAD girls would derive such pleasure from a story like this.
This author takes the degrading and the obscene and makes them both enticing and delicious. Her Omegaverse and world building are truly sublime and transcend almost anything else that I have read. She truly is one of a kind. I really need to quit challenging myself by saying she cannot push me out of my comfort zone any more than she has because like the true sadist she is she does. I don’t even think this author could color in the lines if she wanted. At this point, I am inclined to agree with her always pushing the envelope because by writing something like this it truly shows that she writes for what her soul cries and not the dictates of society. For her writing truly is in her blood.
This book, as intense (and disturbing) as it was just reiterated that she is the true Queen of Omegaverse. It continues the story of Wren, Caspian, Kieran, and Toby. Wren. Just give this beautiful girl the crown for the most loved female character from the Mad world of Ms. Cain. Hands down my favorite of all her females characters. Life hasn’t been easy for her yet her spirit and fight perseveres. My heart ached for her, was touched by her grateful side, and then cheered for her as she fought against the injustices she was dealt with (in this book in particular). The men at one time or another would show a crack in their armor where I thought I might like them and then, as fast as a mouse scurrying away with cheese, those feelings would dissipate. Each of them has a hidden moment that showed they all had ulterior motives for their deception. I think I have an idea of where this will go in the future but knowing the mind of this madwoman (aka the author in case there was any confusion as to whom I am referring to) anything can (and most likely will) happen
In the interim, while I am waiting for the conclusion of this book to be released I am going to up my wine intake, embrace that I love the kinky depraved Omegaverse, and probably throw the finger at society (and seeking absolution in particular) and instead find out how much my one way ticket to hell is going to cost me. Good thing I like the heat.
Book 2 of Wren’s song delves a little deeper into the nuances of the characters. We see that each of the Alphas have something different in mind when it comes Wren, as well as the role she plays or will play in their overall play. Wren discovers what each of these men have in store for her , and she plays her part brilliantly, separating and compartmentalizing everything she goes through.
Yes of course this is filled with slick and knots like you won’t believe, but in my opinion the story gets that tad darker for Wren. Also we get glimpses in Wrens mind of an individual first encountered in the Warrens( slight mystery unfolding here)
A must read, and now I’m starting to imagine alternate endings I want my Wren to have.
Wow, this was a dark, intense story! This is NOT a romance people, please don’t go into this book expecting romance, or even dark romance, because it’s not there! It’s dark and gritty and even horrifying at times what poor Wren has to endure. But the girl is strong! She may be a sweet little mute girl in over her head, but she never gives up, and even more than that, she stands up for herself as much as she’s able to. She has a real passion and love for her “boys”, her kids, and she’ll do anything to see them taken care of. This book will break your heart at times, that’s for sure, but it sucks you in and doesn’t let go. This was another book I couldn’t put down once I started!!
Little mouse trapped in the Pipeworks but which way to turn? First Alpha wants obedience Second Alpha wants fawning adoration and Third Alpha wants a willing receptacle for his twisted desires. How long can one little mouse be toyed with before she grows claws? Simple answer is threaten what she holds dear. Invincible little mouse I am still betting on you.
