Alaska
You are not defined by your mistakes.
I refuse to regret the choices I’ve made.
I embrace them.
I will bow to no one.
Fear does not make me weak.
In the face of fear, I find my true strength.
I will rise.
With fire in my veins and embers in my soul,
I will give my daughter the life she deserves.

Wow…I thought I was ready for this book, but I could not have been more wrong. This went beyond what I expected for Patch’s story and dare I say I think it was even more powerful than Priest’s story, which blew me away. Patch is a doctor at the local hospital and when he crosses paths with Alaska, on multiple occasions, he’s done for. Initially there’s some competition and I was a little worried for him. And Alaska, the poor girl is clueless and just stuck in a perpetual spin of bad luck, but she’s a fierce heroine and one I definitely admired at the end. This is the author’s second book EVER and the second in the Heaven’s Guardians series. I’m still in awe of how good of a writer Ashley Lane is and how good these books are. Anyway, you don’t necessarily need to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one, but it will definitely help in order to really appreciate these guys and their backstories, etc. The best buried treasure of all in this book is the kids we’re introduced to…I smell a second generation!!
I’m blown away! You wouldn’t believe this is only the second book this author has written….So talented. If I could give more stars I would. My mind is still reeling from everything that happens in this story. I couldn’t stop reading till the very last page.
Patch is a biker/ doctor with such a tragic past…
Alaska has been to hell and back again. Doing anything she can to help her daughter…
Can these two characters help each other overcome all the heartache? Will they find their HEA?
You’ll have to read to find out. I’m left dying to get my hands on book 3.
I think its a possibility that I may have a book hangover. There is so much that happens in this book that you will find yourself putting it down only to pick it back up so you can find out what is going to happen next.
Patch is a member of the club who has a tragic past. He does not let it define him, but he does let it rule his emotions from time to time. Alaska is a single parent that will do whatever needs to be done to make sure her little girl Grace has what she needs. Grace is a sweet child who is so innocent and sweet you can’t help but to fall in love with her. Nothing slows her down and she helps her mother and Patch find what the other has been missing. When they finally let their guards down Alaska helps Patch start living for the now instead of the past. Patch shows and gives Alaska what life is like with family. We get to get caught up with the other members.
Without giving anything away just know this book answers a few questions that you may have had lingering from the last book. Ashley Lane has a way of writing her characters that you just feel what they are. Highly recommend this book, and I am going to (im)patiently wait for the next in the series.
This book is edgy, and sexy and all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
I absolutely loved this book! There were lots of heartbreak for Patch and Willow but they came out stronger and I loved them together. Patch went through something no parent should ever have to go through. My heart broke for him so much. It seemed like fate when he got not only Willow but little Grace too. It was very well written and I can’t wait to read book 3!
Couldn’t put it down!
If this author’s first book was promising, this book kept that promise in the best way. Alaska and Patch both have pain and heartbreak in their past, even if Alaska’s is more in her present also. Their story is emotional, angsty, redeeming, and beautiful all at once. I’m looking forward to what comes next in this series.
Review for Silenced by Sin by Ashley Lane

Biker take me away!!!
Book 2 in Ashley’s Heaven’s Guardians MC series doesn’t disappoint. This is Patch aka Evander Cruz’s story and he’s just as lovable as he was when I was introduced to him in the first book. Patch is the doctor of the group, but don’t let that fool you. He’s just as much a vigilante as he is a savior. For as much as that Hippocratic oath calls to him, the destruction of evil is just as strong, and for wrongdoers, Hell hath no fury like that of the Heaven’s Guardians MC. They protect their own and those less fortunate too, which makes them all so endearing. Each member is as unique as their handles and Patch is no exception. I was eager to hear his story following book one–for these books are so distinctive and I knew I would love them immediately.
Alaska Watson is a spitfire and an easily lovable heroine. She’s a single mom who works hard and will do anything to keep her daughter safe. Grace is absolutely precious and her precociousness reminded me of my own sweet baby heroine, Dallas Kinsen. Alaska and Grace are the perfect duo for a lost soul like Patch, but he doesn’t want a replacement family and soon he’s trying hard to fit the burning desire to have them filling the void in his life.
But Alaska and Patch have grave secrets, secrets that may cost them everything.
I loved this sequel and loved how the story flowed seamlessly, as if I had never left Colorado or the gang. And these bikers are so swoony too. I loved catching up with Willow, Leo, and Priest. Bullet and Demon too. And Angel is as funny as ever. Alaska was as original as her namesake and despite the many times I was yelling at her to, “OMG!, Stop,” and “Just listen to Patch,” she didn’t and became a bad-a$$ for it. Love a woman who can handle her own 😉
This book had suspense, drama, action, laughs, tears, gasps and awe. I was literally heartbroken for this couple but in the end it all came together in a beautiful culmination and I’m super excited for book 3, Bullet’s story as well as the last two. I can’t wait to see what Ashley has in store next!
*KU Read
Silenced by Sin is freaking AWESOME!! Holy crap, I am so mad for not keeping up with Ashley Lane’s releases. Where the hell was I when this was released?!?! I fell in love with Ashley’s writing when I read [book:Washed In Blood|46376734], and I knew I wanted to read the rest of the group’s story, and Ashley did NOT disappoint.
Patch is the man every girl could ever want. Patch has lost everything in his life and is not looking for anything to replace it. When he finds a new woman working at the bike shop that he knows from a year and a half ago, he wants her more than anything else. But she has a past he knows could ruin the MC.
Alaska is hurting. For herself, her child, and now for the people, she is working for. Alaska knows she is hiding something that could hurt them, and after finding love with Patch, she is bound to save everyone.
I could NOT put this book down. I was up till 1 a.m. finishing this book. I had to know what was going to happen next. I love Ashley’s writing style. Silenced by Sin is a must-read!!!
Wow I loved this book. I loved Patch’s story and learning of the tragic past he had led, it really broke my heart. Then we bring Alaska the woman with who he can’t forget. Her beautiful daughter Grace just stole my heart. Alaska will do anything for her daughter but one mistake may take Grace from her, can she save them or will Patch and Heaven’s Guardians rescue lose an innocent. Highly recommend this book, author and series.
Patch is a doctor and club member of Heaven’s Guardians. He has had a terrible loss and is dealing with it daily. He meets Alaska and her daughter Grace when they need help. Alaska is a strong woman doing the best she can for her deaf daughter Grace. She hasn’t had it easy in life. Patch and Alaska were burning hot and so good together. My heart broke and then was overjoyed to see how Grace made Patch feel something besides his pain. A great read that I recommend.
Omg what an emotional book. I wanted to hug Patch after finding out his story. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book.
I loved Alaska and Patch in this book. They may have had secrets and they came together in some circumstances, but they really suited each other.
I loved how Patch was with Grace.
I can’t wait to see what happens next after epilogue.
As a single mum to a beautiful little deaf girl called Grace, Alaska has always done whatever she can to do the best for Grace, but when one wrong decision leaves her jobless and homeless she makes one last ditch attempt at making a life for them by applying for a job at Wicked Wrench; the garage that the Heaven’s Guardians MC own.
Patch is a doctor and club brother who was tasked with getting Alaska fired from her last job, but when he is called in to an emergency at work he finds himself dealing with a scared little girl who also happens to have a beautiful mother that he has met before. She doesn’t remember him though, will Patch be able to make up for what happened before by being there for Alaska and Grace now, or will she find out just who he is and leave? Will he even get the chance to try when the things Alaska has had to do to keep afloat come back to haunt her?
This was another really good story by Ashley Lane. I can’t believe that this is only her second ever book as she truly writes like she’s being doing this for years. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit and I can’t wait for Bullet’s book next. I give Silenced by Sin 5 stars.
This book was so amazing I had to go back and buy book #1 (Washed in Blood) although each story is complete alone.
Patch his road name being he’s a doctor. He rode with his brothers and kept to his oath–as much as he could. He’d taken another oath with his President and club brothers. Each of them had lived through a horrific past life. Priest had pulled them through all four of them making a full roster of five–all there would ever be. They made a vow to find the dark killers, rapists, the worst of the worst.
When the club president asked you to do something they all did it with rarely a comment which is the way Patch first saw Alaska. The next time he didn’t recognize her. She was thin and he knew he’d caused it.
Both Alaska and Patch fight their feelings. The pain from the past, pain, and distrust, make it more then they can accept. Yet, accept it they do. She’s in trouble. Taking care of people in trouble is what they do. This time he has to keep a secret from his president but she’s worth it.
Alaska and her life seem to be the cure for his past sorrow. Two people who deserve to be happy–if the ones who want her dead don’t find her first.
A second amazing story makes me know I will be first in line for number three.

Silenced By Sin is book two in the Heaven’s Guardian MC Series by Ashley Lane! Told in dual POV, we first met Dr. Evander ‘Patch’ Cruz the biker with the tortured past, in book one, Washed In Blood (Heaven’s Guardians MC, #1). From the beginning, we knew that Evander’s past was filled with heartache, and his present was spent shrouded in guilt. But just how much heartache… we could have never imagined. I am still amazed that this is only Lane‘s second release. After reading Washed In The Blood I quickly became a fan, but now after finishing Silenced By Sin, I am completely hooked! In Silenced By Sin Patch finally gets his second chance at life, and love when he meets single mom Alaska.
Single mother Alaska Watson is down on her luck and just barely getting by. Her life revolves around her daughter Grace and trying to make a better future for her but Alaska continues to run into one stroke of bad luck after another.
Trying to raise a child on your own is never easy, but trying to raise a child with a disability on your own is even harder. Especially without any friends or family to lean on.
Just when it seems like things are turning around for her and Grace, she’s fired from her job at the car dealership and things go from bad to worse.
In desperate need of help and out of options, Alaska makes a choice. A choice that gets her involved with some very, very bad people…
When Alaska FINALLY lands a job at Wicked Wrench. The local auto shop run by none other than the Heaven’s Guardian’s MC. she prays that this will be the turning point for Grace and her. She’s out of options and certain debts need to be paid.
When Patch walked into the car dealer shop that unknowingly rented out the vehicle that helped aid the man who harmed his club’s president’s ol’ lady, he never imagined he’d ever see the woman responsible again.
That is until he walks into Wicked Wrench a year later to see none other than Alaska Watson working the front counter.
Patch has felt guilty about getting Alaska fired ever since he saw the baby set in her car the day he left out of the dealership. Now that he knows just how dire Alaska and her daughter Grace’s situation is, there’s no way he can walk away.
Evander isn’t just falling for Alaska, he’s falling for her daughter too.
But the closer he gets to Alaska and her precious daughter, the more his past haunts him. Evander can’t let the past go, he still carries around so much guilt for the death of his own daughter that he won’t allow himself to find love.
But how can he protect Alaska and Grace if he can’t be around them?
Can he keep Alaska’s identity a secret from his club brothers?
Will Evander’s past put a stop to this relationship before it even has a chance to begin?
You’ll have to check out Silenced By Sin to find out!
Whatever demons haunt that man, they are big. Am I ready to take something like that on? More so, can he take on mine?
I go through my kicks every few months, one month it’ll be rock star romances, the next it’ll be bully romances, and so on and so on. Silenced By Sin couldn’t have come at a better time because this month just happened to be MC romances and this beautiful, emotional MC romance about love, loss, and second chances is EXACTLY the kind of book I was looking for!
Ashley Lane has me hook line and sinker with this series. She has created an amazing world with these well-developed characters and their storylines filled with enough suspense to keep you enthralled from the first page to the last page.
Alaska is an amazing mother. She may have made a few mistakes, but show me a mom who hasn’t. She’s done EVERYTHING she can to try and protect her daughter in the best way she knows how. I adore how protective she is when it comes to her little girl. You don’t wanna mess with a Mama bears cub. I also appreciate that even when she was down and out, she still didn’t want to take handouts. But she also wouldn’t let her daughter go without just because of her pride either.
I must admit I was a little worried. After reading Washed In The Blood, I had an image of Patch in my mind… and it wasn’t a sexy one. So I wasn’t sure how I was going to get “in” to this story. Well, let me just tell you, I had it ENTIRELY wrong, and Evander Cruz is FINEEE! My heart broke over and over watching Patch continue to punish himself. The guilt from losing his own child and the circumstances around her death left him feeling unworthy of love and happiness. But try as he might, he couldn’t walk away from Alaska, or Grace. Patch feels an unexplainable but undeniable connection to Alaska right from the very start and that connection only continues to grow the closer he gets to her and her daughter.
These two together are the piece that the other is missing. Alaska helps Patch learn how to let go of his past and start living for the future. Patch gives Alaska and her daughter Grace a sense of home and family that she’s never had before. It may have been a slow burn for these two, but when Patch finally stops fighting against himself, sparks flew out of my Kindle!
I can’t not mention Alaska’s daughter. Little Grace is such an amazing little girl. She may be deaf but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. Some of my favorite scenes are of Evander and her together. I think him already knowing sign language and being able to communicate with her when she’s used to only being able to communicate that way with her mom, was extremely vital in helping Patch and Grace quickly establish a relationship.
Sweetheart, if it means I get to spend time with you, I’ll buy you the moon.
I adore the secondary/supporting characters and I was glad we were able to catch up with Willow and Priest, and their family. As well as Angel, and Bullet. We didn’t see much of Demon this time around, but he was still around, in the shadows. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when Priest would get the guys to talk or do stuff by threatening to call Willow out to handle them LMAO hilarious to see these big strong, badass bikers scared of a little ol’ pregnant lady. I love that there is always a scene where the whole FAMILY comes together, whether it be a barbecue in the backyard or them all rushing in to save the day, they continue to show exactly what makes these guys a real family.
I am so invested in these men and the ladies that capture their hearts, I can not wait for Bullet’s story, Haunted By Regret ! I am loving Heaven’s Guardians! I highly recommend checking Silenced By Sin as well as the rest of the series!

/ – I loved it! Silenced By Sin is a beautifully written emotional MC romance about love, loss, and second chances. I can’t wait for more of Heaven’s Guardians!
– This one is a bit of a slow burn, but when Patch finally stops fighting against himself, these two had sparks flying out of my Kindle! That dirty mouth of his was a surprise for sure but it was a very happy surprise!
ℂ – Alaska and Patch get their happily ever after. But… Bullet’s story, Haunted By Regret is up next and the ending of Silenced By Sin had a lead up for his story!
.
I honestly didn’t think the author good improve on Book 1 of the Heaven’s Guardian Series but let me tell you she has hit another winner. Just wow. Silenced by Sin is extremely well written with the main characters all returning along with a few new ones that fit right in. The storyline grabbed me from the start and never let go. I found myself reading into the wee hours because I literally couldn’t put it down. If you haven’t read book 1, Washed in Blood, I highly recommend doing so first so you will understand what this unusual MC is all about.
Silenced by Sin is Doc’s story. If you read book 1 you know Doc is haunted, like his other MC brothers, by his past. He holds himself responsible for the death of his daughter and he tries his best to atone for his mistakes by his work at the hospital and with the Guardians. Sadly he doesn’t feel like he is entitled to any type of personal happiness. He meets Alaska, a woman who is down on her luck with a small deaf child and he begins to wonder “what if”. Can Doc ever forgive his past? Can Alaska and Doc somehow find a way to ease each other’s burdens? Or will Doc simply help her out, fold back into his pain and let her move on, especially since one of his MC brothers has also shown an interest in her.
This book is so much more than just a romance. If you read Washed in Blood, book 1 of the series, you know what the Guardians are all about. Once again they become Judge, Jury and Executioners to those deemed unworthy. The storyline is powerful and heartfelt. I can’t recommend it enough. Kudos to Ms. Lane for another outstanding read and this reader is anxiously awaiting book 3 of the series. I highly recommend grabbing up both books, you won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Phenomenal Stars.
Silenced by Sin isn’t your typical MC Romance. Usually in MC books the club is warring with another rival club and drama and turf wars abound. Silenced by Sin is unique in that the war the members of the club fight is an internal battle over past demons. Patch and Alaska each have mistakes they have made in their past that weighs them down. Patch is the most damaged of the two of them. He holds onto his baggage with an iron grip. The downside to that is that your hands aren’t free to accept anything new into your life. He must learn to move on with his life, not to forget his past, but to accept it and loosen the grasp it has over him.
While I liked Patch, I would say that Alaska was my favorite. She is a no nonsense single mother who makes no apologies for her actions. Yes she has regrets, but she owns them, they don’t own her. I hesitate to say to much about her because I don’t want to post any spoilers.
I loved this unique take on a MC Romance and am excited to read book 3 when it comes out!
Words can’t describe this book. They don’t do the beautiful book Ashley wrote justice. All I can say is read this. Read it and fall in love with Patch.
Let’s see where do I start well first off when I herd this book had a lead female character by the name of Alaska in it I thought OMG how cool because I live in Alaska and that is a rare name and after reading Mrs Lanes first book Washed in Blood I knew I had to have it if not for the heroines name but her first book was such a amazing story that I knew this one would be no different and it’s Dr Evander Cruz aka Patches story ! So yes to say the least I was definitely excited to read this book! And let me tell you this book was AMAZING !!
Alaska is a single mom with a beautiful little girl who has a heartbreaking disability. Trying to raise her beautiful def little girl on her own is not easy and friends and people she can count on are few and far between .
Dr. Evander Cruz aka Patch is haunted by a past he can’t outrun nor does he want to forget but he is at a point in life where he needs to find some peace and a second chance at living life with love and laughter.
Silenced by Sin is a truly beautiful well written emotional story about second chances and love and finding forgiveness and family and doing whatever it takes to protect your family. The characters are well developed and the plot is rich with a story line that draws you in from beginning till end. I LOVED this MC romance by Ashley Lane . Definitely 5 stars and definitely recommend ! Well done Ashley ! Well done!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
This was a very emotional story that made me feel everything. If book one, Washed in Blood, was grit this story was heavily emotional, but only in the best of ways!!
Patch is so much more then I expected from book one, he has so mush depth and hurt, but also heart and soul. I loved getting my heart ripped out from his story and watching him find his forever. Alaska, what to say about Alaska? She is one strong lady, tenacious and dedicated, kind and caring. And what she’s been through… wow, just wow. These two are perfect for each other. I loved the connection between them and their fight for their HEA.
This story was much less about the MC side of things, it was more about the people and their relationship, it lacks in nothing. It is just amazing. Very well written and worth the read! I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
What would you do to provide for and protect your child? Patch and Alaska answer that question and what an answer it is. This is another roller coaster of a ride emotionally and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the other Heaven’s Guardians.
