This was a good psychological thriller by Ditter and I enjoyed the the twists and turns in the plot.
Detective Breezy Anderson is embarking on her annual trip with her friends, they are off to the mountains camping and hiking. They’ve rented some cabins for the week and are being taken down the river in a boat where they will be left and picked up in three days time.
But it turns out they are not alone, they’re attacked by a group of men, her friends are captured and tortured. Breezy manages to escape her captor, but she is unwilling to leave her friends behind and she sets out to see if she can free them.
It’s a violent and gut churning read at times and will have you on the edge of your seat with the cat an mouse type survival game she has going on. Fast paced and entertaining, I enjoyed this.

This book ranks right up there with “In Cold Blood” for me. I haven’t been that scared from a book in years!!! The things that happen to the characters in this book will make you keep the lights on at night! I loved it!!! Warning: This book contains violent scenes that may be considered offensive to some readers…and that is no joke either! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
Breezy and her closest friends had no idea that the last camping trip they would all be taking together before all moved on to new careers, family and other planned life milestones would be plagued by horror and tragedy
The Breezy who returned to their Florida hometown was irrevocably changed
The fight to move forward could only begin after an effort to look into the past and honor the extended family Breezy once shared .
Gut wrenching agony and perseverance
Another brilliant book from this author. I have yet to find a book from her that I didn’t love! She has a way of writing superb page-turners. Love, love, love this.

Breezy and her life long friends (Dale, Janine, Steven, Dane, and Teri) are on their annual trip. The trip takes a deadly toll when a group of killers prey upon them.
A page turning action packed novel! An emotional read regarding unexpected losses and vengeance. The story left me emotional drained. Kellen does a wonderful job of detailing emotions and creating scenes that make you feel you are a part of the story. Wondered how people could be so cruel and how one could survive and reap vengeance like that.
Received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I started to read this one in bed, 2 pages in ‘cue the scary music’ yep, I could almost smell it coming and closed my kindle to read in the daylight.
Half way mark, my heart is pounding, must be time for a cuppa.
Just when it was smooth sailing the author threw in a twist or two…or three! I couldn’t put it down.
Great plot and brilliant characters, bitter sweet for the heroine by the end.
