“Signed is a breathtaking, epic romance that is provocative, addictive and sexy as sin.” —USA Today A one-night stand with James Ryne, the hottest actress in LA, was a night I’d never forget… James: I can’t stop thinking about you. Brett: I didn’t know America’s sweetheart was such a dirty girl. James: It gets better. Brett: You’re too young for me. James: Eighteen’s the age of consent. … You’re too young for me.
James: Eighteen’s the age of consent.
Brett: The things I want to do to you right now…
James: Are you ever going to tell me who you really are?
Brett: The best you’ve ever had. That’s all you need to know.
James: When are you coming back to LA?
Brett: Next week–and you’d better not be wearing panties.
Brett: What the hell did I just watch?
James: Oh my God, Brett! It’s going viral!
James: My life is ruined. My career. My reputation.
James: Are you there?
James: Will you let me explain?
James: Brett?
Brett: Forget everything I said before. Forget us.
I tried to forget her…until she walked into my office, begging to get signed.

Brett and James are such a fun couple to read about. I really enjoyed reading this book. I felt all of the emotions with this one and I am really looking forward to the rest of the series on this one. Highly recommend this book.
I really liked this book and the characters the main ones and the secondary ones. The age gap between James and Brett didn’t bother me. James was very mature for her age so it never really seemed like she was only 18. James and Brett were really good together and their chemistry was off the charts hot. When everything went down with the tape and James life pretty much exploding I wanted to slap Brett upside the head but he eventually pulled his head out of his rear and things between them got better. All in all a great book. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I look forward to reading more.
Truly enjoyed this story. It was heartwarming, funny and very sexy
i enjoyed the story
Steamy read! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Highly recommend
Not for me. I never felt that the characters were believable or authentic.
Omg what a fantastic read! Not my ‘normal’ read either (the Hollywood scene) but I couldn’t put it down! Great characters and great chemistry. The author pulled me in and gave all the feels! Off to read more in this series!
All of the above. Good read for a rainy day
4.5 stars
This book….This. Book. THIS. BOOK!!!!!
I have made it no secret that Marni Mann has made me a convert to her wicked ways. Even when she scares me, even when I hate cheaters, she still makes me change everything. She has a way to convince you her way is right.
Signed is no exception. I hated a certain stuck up “lawyer” who dropped a young starlet as soon as he could. I wanted to junk punch him. I wanted to hold her and let her cry on my shoulder. (I may have wanted to shake her silly when she allowed a certain situation to happen.) I want the best for her. I wanted everyone hurt and groveling at her feet.
Most of all, I wanted her to strut her stuff like she was over it. And Marni delivered! Signed, sealed, and delivered. – Get it. Wink, wink, nudge.
Signed is raw emotions, carnal need, and serious tension. It’s all kinds of hot, plenty of drama, and filled with friends that everyone needs on their side. Plus it’s seriously, seriously smoking hot cover…
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Goodness gracious-this book is hot!
I really wanted to love this one. I really enjoyed the Unblocked Collection and love Marni Mann’s writing, but I just didn’t love this one. I didn’t like the story right away and I never really warmed up to it as I kept reading. I couldn’t connect to the characters at all and I felt no connection between either. I figured out the ending pretty quickly and didn’t leave much to be desired between James and Brett.
Signed by Marni Mann is a standalone, forbidden, contemporary, erotic romance told in dual point of view. This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I was drawn into the story and hooked right away. I had trouble putting it down.
The lead female, James Rayne, is a famous, 18-year-old, Hollywood actress who has grown up in the business. The lead male, Brett Young, is a savvy, 30-year-old, Miami talent agent and partner at The Agency. They have a one night stand in LA and form a long distance friendship until James is the center of a media scandal that ruins her reputation and damages her career. Her manager, Tim, takes her to The Agency in hopes that Brett will take her on as a client. What happens next? You’ll have to read to find out.
This book was a real page-turner. There was intrigue, suspense, passion and romance. The characters were fantastic. They were alluring, entertaining, and had great chemistry. I really felt for James and what she was going through. Brett could be a douchebag at times, but I still liked him. This was a fun, sexy, compelling story that kept me reading to the end.
This story will hit you right in the feels!! There’s steamy times and OH MY HECK steamy times. There’s a sweetness to James & Brett’s relationship that equals swoony goodness. There’s banter galore! GALORE! And there are some really great tear-up moments. (There are also some really great LOL moments, but those might’ve just been because of my sense of humor…)
I loved the writing & story a lot, and I’m super picky about my Hollywood books. : )
Ok so I love me some Marni Mann. I love her dark stuff, her funny stuff, but most of all I love her extra hot stuff. Man can she write a hot AF male. Brett is that male. But beyond that, she writes these amazing women. Yes James is a woman, even if she is 18. That girl has more maturity then some 30 yr olds. When she was kicked low she stayed high. Yes she hid for a bit, but she didn’t do what I’m sure *I* would have done. Even in the face of betrayal I know when I was 18 and my boyfriend cheated on me I did some not so nice things to his car. (just gum under the door handles and some words written in the dirt on his car) But still….
When I was 19 I dated a man 13 yrs older than me and now I’m pissed the sex was nothing like what Brett gave James.
Another homerun for Ms. Mann
This is a forbidden romance with a Hollywood Scandal, an American Sweetheart who could lose all she has worked hard for, her career in Hollywood. The best Agent who can give her career back but it only means that she has to lose the man she can’t stop thinking about.
James Ryne is used to being in the spotlight since she was a child, she has accomplished a lot during her short life. She is moving on from her break up with her co-star and first love, trying to move on and focus on her career. Now back in Hollywood she had the most amazing night with the sexiest man she’s ever known, Brett Young. What started as a one- night stand developed into the beginning of a relationship. Until one mistake of the past came to take all what she has work for.
Brett Young is a successful talent agent, he didn’t know he would be mesmerized by 18 year old James Ryne, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. After lots of phone calls and video chats, he decided to go back to LA to meet her but suddenly a scandal involving James make him forget about her.
What he didn’t expect was that Jamie knocks at his door to help her get back her career, the only thing is that in order to save her career, Jamie will have to lose the man she wants.
This was an emotional ride. I loved how the story was developed and adored both characters, no room here for drama. It was an easy read full of passion and sexiness. Can’t wait to read another story from this author. I hope the second characters have a story as well.
Signed by Marni Mann was a sizzling, engrossing tale that had me glued to the pages of the novel until the very end. This was the first book I read from this author and I absolutely loved it.
This story is about America’s sweetheart fighting to get back everything she lost after a scandal blindsides her.
This older man younger woman romance was more than I expected. Sexy Scenes, fast paced storyline, a bit of mystery, scandal and so much more all made for some great reading.
This was James and Brett’s story and I loved them together. Their chemistry was intense and their steamy scenes were incredibly hot. I loved how the author portrayed their relationship and made them both likable and very much relatable. You will be rooting for them from the start.
I have to admit I loved the relationship Brett had with his business partners/friends and James had with Eve. These secondary characters all added to the story and really helped to balance out the main characters.
This novel was a fantastic page-turner and I would highly recommend it. It was an excellent read and very much deserving of 5 stars.
Young actress, sexy older agent. Ummm, holy freaking smoking hotness. Pretty good storyline line. But really, holy freaking smoking hotness!
The minute I finished this book, I ordered a signed copy from the author and added all her other books to my TBR list. James and Brett are HOT.
Signed by Marni Mann is a standalone romance told in dual POV. It is perfectly paced, excellently written, the angst is at just the right level and the sex is hotter than Hades!
James is a successful young actress, just turned 18 and recently separated from the only man she ever loved. In an effort to show the world that she is doing fine and over her past relationship she and her best friend Eve hit one of the VIP clubs. It is at this club that she locks eyes with one of the hottest men she has ever laid eyes on – and considering the industry she works in, that is saying something. One thing leads to another leads to a scorching night together and a promise to keep in touch.
Brett knows who James is. He works in the industry as an agent. She is younger than him and should be off-limits but she is too irresistible. After their night together he flies back to Miami and they spend the next month texting, talking on the phone and video-calling.
When a celebrity alert comes through essentially ruining James’ career in one fell swoop she has almost no one she ca count on. Her manager Tim, her best friend Eve and, she had hoped, Brett. He however, cannot handle the news or his feelings of betrayal and he also cuts her loose.
I’ll stop there in my recap/synopsis as it will lead to spoilers going forward. The angst in those moments with James, experiencing the betrayal and shock with her. So beautifully written. My first Marni Mann book but it will NOT be my last. Enjoy!
My first book by Marni Mann..
Signed is the story of Brett and James
Brett one of the most eligible bachelors, a very famous Hollywood agent.. loves to be in control and is a very hot dirty talker.. his rules were never meant to be broken.. *never sleep or have a relationship with a client, until now he was good at following his own rules but nothing prepare him for her, her body, her smile and her talents.. something that will make him melt away and re-think his own damn rules..
James a very famous actress in Hollywood, young and beautiful, they called her Americas sweetheart. her life took a turn for the worst after someone made public something very private from James..
something happens that will jeopardize everything in her life, her career, her reputation, everything she has been working since she was thirteen.. her life has been turned upside down.. her own team left her on her own.. she has lost all of her contracts.. not knowing what to do, her manager takes her to Miami with someone that will help her to recover everything she has lost in the last couple of hours..
But she didn’t know, who was going to help her get back her life and recover everything she has lost. Would she accept the help after finding out who is that person?
Brett and James chemistry was off the charts, you can feel it from the very first moment they see each other.. It only took a few hours to feel the immense chemistry.. but things got a little rough after something from James past comes to light.. they go separate ways when Brett finds out..
(Brett behaves like a big A…hole i wanted to slap him a few times lol) but life will reunite them again and their lives will turn into a different direction.. James would have to change her life if she wants to survive and continue in this industry and her only hope is him..
The most talented and handsome agent in Hollywood .. him.. the one who broke her and made her whole again..
Another great character on the story.. love Eve, the best friend of James she was amazing, always very supportive and never leaving her friend alone, no matter where james was Eve was always there for her, supporting her..plus she had an amazing taste in cloths..
Max, Scarlett and Jack. Brett business partners. love them together, a great team of support and help.. i also love they were very supportive of James and Brett well except from Max sometimes lol but you’re going to forgive him when you see him around Eve!!
Sophia and Abel these two can go to hell and stay there forever.. i never understood why she was so mean with James but she was, and someone needs to slap her and make her focus.. the things she said to James, the way she treated her.. just another crazy witch from the wrong side of town..and Abel just a weak man who didn’t have the guts to speak from himself.. so glad they had what they deserve..
love the story, love the characters.. love BRETT!! he was after all a very great guy.. James also a very great character and heroine, she was strong and fought hard to get her life back..
