“Signed is a breathtaking, epic romance that is provocative, addictive and sexy as sin.” —USA Today A one-night stand with James Ryne, the hottest actress in LA, was a night I’d never forget… James: I can’t stop thinking about you. Brett: I didn’t know America’s sweetheart was such a dirty girl. James: It gets better. Brett: You’re too young for me. James: Eighteen’s the age of consent. … You’re too young for me.
James: Eighteen’s the age of consent.
Brett: The things I want to do to you right now…
James: Are you ever going to tell me who you really are?
Brett: The best you’ve ever had. That’s all you need to know.
James: When are you coming back to LA?
Brett: Next week–and you’d better not be wearing panties.
Brett: What the hell did I just watch?
James: Oh my God, Brett! It’s going viral!
James: My life is ruined. My career. My reputation.
James: Are you there?
James: Will you let me explain?
James: Brett?
Brett: Forget everything I said before. Forget us.
I tried to forget her…until she walked into my office, begging to get signed.

Sierra-approved sexiness on every page.
This book is all-caps HAWT.
This story completely blew me away. I LOVE Brett an James! Their chemistry just explodes. This story had me hooked from the very beginning, and it still hasn’t let me go. Every time I would tell myself that I would set it down at the end of the chapter, something would happen that made it mandatory that I read just one more chapter. I never actually read just one more chapter. I ended up reading them all. I want everyone to read about James and Brett. I already can’t wait to read it again! READ THIS BOOK! Guaranteed to have you all swoony. HEA. Guaranteed to leave you with a massive book hangover. This author writes with a golden pen, because her stories are pure magic.
Crazy hot with the perfect amount of sweet thrown in makes Signed a must read! I loved every moment!
Fast-paced and melt-your-kindle steamy, SIGNED kept me glued right from the first page until the end. Brett Young is the new growly, alpha I’ll be dreaming about for days to come.

STORY:
If you haven’t read anything by Marni Mann before, I sincerely hope you don’t use this as your first exposure to her since it’s far from representative of how talented she is. Although this is a fun, easy, entertaining read, it lacks the depth of I found in the majority of her books. The characters aren’t as developed as they usually are, and the story is too “convenient” with the main characters basically falling in love at first sight. If you don’t want insta-love, you definitely don’t want to read this book.
PERFORMANCE:
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Abby Craden and C.A. Sorenson. Although neither are terrible, these are two of my least favorite narrators. Sorenson speaks with an incredibly nasally voice and sometimes reads rather than acts. Ms. Craden is a decent actress, but sometimes she is overly breathy, and I don’t personally care for her male voices. Neither are awful, but there are definitely better narrators out there.
This was my first book by Marni and I have no idea why I waited so long to read her books but I’m hooked now. Her imagination and writing are so amazing. This book kept me up the entire time. Age gap, steamy, drama, scandal and addictive.
Those who know us know we are big fans of Marni’s books. She has a talent that just bowls us over. Normally her books are dark, erotic and have characters with pasts that can break them and your heart. This book though Marni changes her tactics a bit and shows us just how far reaching her talent is.
Marni has written a fun, flirtatious book with erotic moments but there isn’t a dark undertone to it. there is no past that haunts the characters. No we get a book with two characters you fall in love with immediately but have obstacles that are thrown in their way and creates a muck of things. They find a way through the muck and let love come out and win as well.
We get sensual erotic and flirtatious texts between the characters that have us blush, erotic moments that sizzle the kindle and chemistry between Brett and James that you can light a fire with and keep yourself warm. Marni has written in a different way than normal and it has worked beautifully.
Our two main characters are Brett and James. James is, as the blurb says America’s sweetheart. She is young, fun and an actress. Her personality is vivacious but she does have something happen that dampens it and has her grow up more. In her profession that has occured but here she matures. She is a very kind and determined woman who has had her world shattered and now she is more gun shy. Her career does mean everything to her so when she has a chance to fix it, she jumps. Her best friend is a hoot. That girl will crack you up.
Brett is the sexy man that has you drool. He is very protective and loyal. He is no nonsense as well. Beneath it all though he is a sweet guy. His partners balance him in their business and they are like family. His first encounter with James sizzles the kindle and I mean sizzles. Marni writes her love scenes to have you need that shower. But you can also feel more underlining the scenes. You can tell there is more than just lust. We go from that night to our texts that set you aflame. And from there we get the unexpected.
We get the business side of their relationship as well and temptation that is hard to resist. Marni writes temptation and the dangling carrot with the best of them and does this to Brett. boy does that guy have a lot of resolve to a point. when it goes we are treated with some serious chemistry. We also see maturity in the relationship occur. Brett and James work together and follow their heart as well and it is a very enticing mix.
Brett and James both get views in the book and I must say James was sweet and we see her maturity grow. We see her realize her passion and also find balance. Brett’s shows us his resolve and his thoughts on James. Shows how much he respects her but also loves her as well.
throughout this, we also get the mystery of who did this to James and why. This when it comes out is just a wow. The interweaving of this aspect into our romance was seamless and intriguing. The story overall flows seamlessly and has a great balance of erotic, mystery, love, passion and intimacy. We see characters mature and come together. Better on display is trust and love. Brett and James find their way to trust and love one another and weather storms but come out stronger at the end. A passionate story from beginning to end that intrigues, tantalizes and entices throughout and doesn’t let you go as you go through the journey with Brett and James and watch them fall in love and fight for themselves, love and each other.
Good read
31/2
When deciding what I wanted to rate this book, I tried to think about what I didn’t like, but it wasn’t enough to lose a star for me. I didn’t like the blurb so here’s a quick rundown.
James is America’s Sweetheart. She had just gotten out of a long-term relationship, her first serious relationship, so she goes out looking for fun. She finds that in Brett. They both thought it would be one night, but neither can ignore their attraction. However before they can even get started exploring that, scandal hits James and tarnishes her reputation. Public opinion has completely turned on her, and everyone that’s supposed to be in her corner abandons her. Her manager comes up with the plan to ask The Agency, Brett’s talent agency. James didn’t know what he did, so she’s shocked to find him there, especially since he abandoned her too. Brett agrees to help James regain what she lost but decides they can’t be together while she’s his client.
Now that that’s out of the way…
I like Brett and James together. He brought up the age difference several times, but it never seemed like a hindrance. The scandal that ruined James gets fully resolved although there is a little bit of gray area there. There is enough that I kind of pieced it together. There story was good; I personally couldn’t out it down.
I fell in love with these characters! James and Brett has my full attention the entire book. My heart hurt for her when she lost everything she’d worked for and I loved the relationship that they built. The book was so well written and the characters so likable!
It was not a horrible book, but neither was it great. I finished it because I wanted to know what happened
New to this author and loved the book.
