Soon she’s in a battle of wills with ex-football player turned journalist Mike Paycik, who might see her as a handy rung on his career ladder or a romantic partner or both. And there’s the matter of a deputy sheriff—missing or murdered? Elizabeth finds herself investigating at the insistence of a girl who’s set on proving her father’s innocence. I read almost nonstop.
Ending up in a small Wyoming news station was not in her plan. Elizabeth Danniher has weathered a bad divorce and somehow her thriving news reporter life has been reduced to to short feel good spots… or has she? It was not a secret that she had been a big time reporter and there was a mystery to be solved!
Excellent
I enjoyed this book very much. Most definitely look for this author.
Interesting. A great read.
I enjoyed it, especially since I’ve spent a small part of my life in that culture or close to it. The only ridiculous part is how often does a woman have two gorgeous, kind, hard working men both pursuing her while “respecting her space.” Nice thought but not happening.
Twist at the end.
Longer than necessary
I liked the story, but I didn’t like the bad language.
not my kind of book. couldn’t stay intrested long enough to finish it.
Good beginning to a new series. I am looking forward to the next one. I like that it was clean. Good characters, good mystery.
I have read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them tremendously. Although some parts make me think of J.A. Jance’s books I realize there is actually nothing “new” under the sun and just sit back and enjoy.
Strong flawed women always make for a good read.
Found a great new series when I read this book. Fun mystery but not silly!
I enjoyed everyone of these, stories. I read one after the other.
That means I really enjoyed them.my first time readingJerilyn Dufresne but I did thouroughly enjoy, them.
Only drawback was it is part of a series, but it did conclude the mystery.
I really enjoyed this book until I got to the end. The ending left me unsatisfied and feeling like the book should have another chapter or two. Maybe the store continues in the next book but it didn’t say that. It just quit.
I just couldn’t get into the story.
YUK
Constantly reading to solve the mystery.
