“Viciously compelling!” – Anna Zaires, NY Times bestselling author Thumb brushing her lips like a kiss, he promised, “In time, you will learn you need not fear me.” Setting her free, Sovereign’s enigmatic expression grew dark. “You will love me. It is inevitable.” Under my touch, her body sings. None but I possessing the secrets that draw out Sigil’s every last sigh. My bride, my cornered prey. … out Sigil’s every last sigh. My bride, my cornered prey.
To possess her, I have hunted my cherished queen across the galaxy, my armada crushing any haven she might seek, driving her into desperation. All so I might stand before her and tell Sigil how deeply she is loved.
There is nowhere else for her to flee, and no soul that can keep her from me.
I hate that I must chain her, I hate that she is afraid. But I know how dangerous the only female of my species can be.

Really enjoyed reading this book, found I was very engaged throughout the book
Science fiction and sex together, what a combination, it’s quite interesting if not a little confusing. There’s a plot, an interesting one, but can’t seem to fathom what is is at first. Knowing what’s going on helps put the pieces together i think. There’s lots of sex, and craziness in this one. If you like weird stories, this book is for you, enjoy, i did.
Was very boring. The writer went on and on without getting to base line of the story. I had to force myself to finish the book.
Sadistic and hott
I Wish I could Curse!
Author Addison Cain has a knack for torturing her readers I am no stranger, my dear reader know you will either become addicted to her words despite how mad she can make you or you will hate them and should look for a different book.
In Sigil I found myself unsure of who’s side to take since offcourse our Heroine is the one I root for and yet I can see our Heroes may not be wrong in their persuasion, but as always this author had to shock me near the end by breaking Quinn’s (Sigil’s) Heart, Will redemption be meet on Book 2? About to jump in and find out.
So damn twisted! Just as I like my books to be. This one is a total re-read!
Definitely different and exciting!
Hard to follow
Sigil is a bad*ss chick who has been through horrific trauma and loss. I couldn’t help but cheer her on every step of the way while fighting Sovereign from claiming her. I cried with her and felt rebellious with her at every step. I’m not a fan of Sovereign who claims that Sigil had been made especially for him as his mate. I want Sigil to find peace and happiness, so it is with that I will read on to the next book, and to give Sovereign another chance to change my mind about him.
Freaking awesome but harsh, bitter pill to swallow
Hot hot hot
Love that the heroine is so kick ass but still submits. Submission doesnt make you less of a badass.
Twists in the plot were great. This is a great book and I can’t wait to finish the series
Can’t wait for the next
This is the first story I’ve read by the author, and it’s a bit darker/more violent than I would normally read. The author is definitely brilliant at writing a story. It had brilliant pace, nothing in the plot felt forced, and the story developed well. That said, I don’t think it was the story for me; I wasn’t dying to read the next book. I don’t think it was anything to do with how the author wrote the book or how the characters developed, rather it was a bit far out of my comfort zone as a reader, As far as I’m concerned, that doesn’t reflect on the author’s ability to write a book, and it’s a good read if you prefer darker stories.
First of all, I’m not a fan of PNR or Scify, so reading this book acquire lots of focus oof what and where and who are in this book. For me to understand, for me to feel the characters connection-cause for that the important things in my reads- i over look the whole scify aspect and just see the “human” part. The Sigil and Sovereign part.
And i have to say, i’m not sure i would call them hero and heroin cause they are much more complex than that. Sigil was born and raise to be Sovereign’s in the most horrible way. Phisical and sexual torture is her daily live and then she escape with her mom just to have her mom died and she was captive once more to be sexually tortured repeatedly until something snaped in her and violance in her only answer.
Until she meet Que.
Someone who she feel love. She feel trust. Friend and confidant. While Sovereign and his Empire and their wish to get her back lurking.
I have to say, i didn’t expect this complex in a story. I still couldn’t figure if Sovereign is the good guy. I still couldn’t figure if this book is a romance book. I still couldn’t decide either to love or hate this book. But i will say, i’m intrigue.
I want to know more of Sigil and Sovereign and their Empire.
Over informative Sci-Fi story of a girl who needs rescue. Too much information and too difficult to keep up with all the info. DNF
Darkly twisted and deeply addictive, this story started out a little dark but moved to a whole other level of messed up and twisted. I thought Quinn and Que were a regular kinky couple but the story is definitely deeper than that. It was hard to tell who the good guys were, but I was steadily in camp Quinn for the whole story. The ending left me with my jaw dropped in shock. I don’t know where she can go from there, but I’m dying to find out!
Sigil is a reverse harem story written from Quinns (h) point of view (for the most part.) She lives on Pax working as a dancer while hiding from the Irdesi Empire. Quinn has been running all her life from the “brothers” who wish to claim her and now she has been found!!!!!! Let the craziness that is Quinn began. This book had me on my toes and rutting for the wrong person while at the same time knowing who was going to come out on top. Quinn is a strong and totally badass heroine who has you on her side from the beginning to the end! At no point did I tire of her or start to disconnect with Quinn. Addison Cain held me captivated in this amazing story in a world that she created. I could not put this book down. The sex; was hot, steamy and fucked up in a way that only Addison can write. Now after saying a;; of this I have to admit I am NOT into reverse harem books at all but I cannot wait to read the next book!!!!
I read the original release of this book and LOVED it. To the point of obsession, even. I just read the re-release and holy crap. Addison’s storytelling has advanced in such a way that it now brings depth and dimensions to characters that were noting more than background noise.
When I first started to read the rewrite i figured it would be unnecessary. I thought the way the story was originally written was so smart, the inclusion of new details and extra dialogue seemed unnecessary. As I continued to read, I found myself falling in love all over again; engaged in a story I had never read before.
This Sigil is thoughtful, precise, and determined. She’s not confused or single dimensional. She has motives and drive. She has reason and cogency of thought.
Arden is more conniving. Kharl is softer; his concerns and sincerity more robust. And Sovereign. Sovereign is a whole new person. Sovereign seems less irrational, less demanding, less alien- more human than he ever did before. He’s more self aware as he makes demands of Sigil. More understanding of the burden she has borne. He’s also far more exacting. Far more terrifying a figure.
This story will delight you. It will intrigue you. It will touch your baser instincts and carry you into Swelter itself, leaving you nothing but contaminated water to quench your thirst as you anticipate the rest of the tale.
Though wholly unnecessary, I hope that Addison applies this same treatment to book 2. I can’t wait to see what magic she weaves with its retelling. Book 3 is sure to be a masterpiece.
