Tragedy brings together a reserved but brilliant sculptor and an outgoing gallery owner, friends whose love was sidetracked—but was always meant to be deeper. BLINDSIDEDSoCal natives, Nate and Cody have been friends since childhood. Both knew they were different—and the same. At seventeen, a stolen weekend in the Florida Keys drove their connection deeper and hotter than either could imagine. … could imagine. They were meant to be together. Then, for reasons only Nate knows, suddenly they weren’t.
They’re still friends. Best friends. But they’ve moved on and found other partners. The yearning remains, however, despite the long-ago secret that drove them apart, and when tragedy strikes, both men find themselves in the dark. They must grope their way back to who and what they are…which they will find in each other’s arms. Sometimes, losing one’s sight can open one’s eyes—and heart.

I loved Cody and Nate, they were wonderfully well-written characters. Both so complex and engaging and this emotional storyline had me reading their story straight through in one sitting.

The book did a great job of giving me the sense of the main character losing his eyesight. It was a good love story.
This story is an emotionally charged one. Cody and Nate are great people. Long time friends but both carrying “feelings” for the other. Time and chance has caused them to never be together as more than best friends until an accident brings them another chance. Jon, what a piece of work, but their true friends are just that. This book has you invested from the start. This story is superior first as a romance, then as one of rebirth and healing and finally of love found that has been hidden for years and all the while laying dormant but still alive.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Wow talk about trying to catch my breath to write this review. Nate and Cody one weekend away together it was hot, raw, sexual, sensual passion and lust it was eroticism. Nate left so they ended up having their own partner. Will Nate and Cody get back together for the feelings they have for each other?

Friendship matters. Nate Powell wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings to find he’s in the hospital. He was totally disoriented, not remembering what happened and unable to see. He was wondering where his friends Jon or Cody were. He returned to conciousness 2 days later to Jon trying to calm/comfort him. He remembered getting an award and dancing at a party. He and Jon were arguing abotu Jon’s ex, Caleb’s attempt to get back with Jon. A female driver hit Jon while he was out running, then called the police. Jon couldn’t tell him the truth, doctor said damage to his eye and he may be permanently blind. Nate and Cody were good friends when they were young, veering toward romance, then had a moment that disrupted their paths. They went their own ways in life. Current day, Cody came to help his friend. He planned to help Nate get back on his feet and find his balance as an unsighted person. They each care for each other, but their personal baggage holds them back. Everyone can see the truth but Nate and Cody. Will they have the talk? Can they set their baggage down? Will they take the step together? Will Nate get his sight back? Nice story. Very emotional and deep! Well done. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nice cover art!
