From thriller author Daniel Foster comes the gripping story of a private investigator whose past just won’t die… she had once thought. As old murders resurface, a pattern begins to emerge… each body is connected to Kate, and each crime scene bears the fingerprints of her husband, Thomas.
Either Kate’s love was worth nothing to Thomas… or maybe it was worth everything. Maybe it was worth enough to commit murder.

This was a little difficult to read for me, largely due to the very wordy descriptions of the action and the characters’ feelings, which were a bit redundant. I did, however, want to find out who the “bad guy” was so I continued to the end, just skimmed over parts of it that were not holding my interest. The story was original and the ending a surprise.
An interesting read, in that the plot is revealed in flashbacks. It’s a weird and haunting murder mystery, and was close to five stars
This is a good read — very, very dark, though. I’m not sure I entirely understand the premise, but some of the scenes are incredibly original and pretty spooky. Maybe not a good book to read late at night.
A book with a million twists. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, things change again.
Kept me on the edge couldn’t put down
Very intense book, a very good read which really kept your attention, trying to figure out the Killer
A little slow to start, but very engaging once it got going.
There were many twists and turns in this book.
The general storyline and characters were great, but it was almost like reading 2 different books. The first half had different points of view and flashbacks. Now I don’t normally like flashbacks but these were well written and integral to the storyline so it worked. Then there was this climax of events in the middle that made it seem like you were near the end. The second half of the book reads much differently, no flashbacks or different points of view and a little too much of the main character wondering if she can handle the situation. It was a definite page turner toward the end, although the plot and the killers MO were a little muddy and hard to understand because of all the moving parts, I think I understood the basics. There are some things that could have been clearer and smoothed out but overall it was a really enjoyable story. I am interested in reading the next book in the series. Personally I think Rick should be a returning character, after all every PI needs a shady guy with questionable morals and a heart of gold they can turn to.
Fast read held my interest
Two great stories in one! The ending would have been great halfway through, but then it became even more twisted and closed with a satisfying stop.
This was a good read after one got into it a ways. The story line is a little hard to follow at first but if you stick with it you will enjoy it. I did and recommend it.
I didn’t finish this book. It was slow paced and I had trouble keeping interest. It was well written but not what grabs me to want to read more.
The story jumped around back-and-forth over a two year time span, which made it very difficult to follow especially in the first half of the book.
Interesting and kept me interested trying to solve the mystery
Disjointed and Perplexing
Lots of unanswered questions in this psychological serial killer/conspiracy thriller with some possible supernatural overtones. No explanation for the findings (or lack of findings) at the crime scenes. No explanation for the predictions, or the visions. However, I am still curious enough to look for the author’s next book in this series.
Kept my interest from beginning to end without being the least bit predictable.
A good read
This is a great read! I couldn’t it it down!
The sidewinder was definitely a page turner. I did not realize who the sidewinder was until it was stated in the book. Tragic how people can get so caught up in grief and revenge.
