Unbelievable premise that hero could so easily forgive. There was no build up to a relationship where heroine could explain her earlier behavior and how she’s changed. Never felt satisfied with the relationship.
Very different for a heroine to have a ‘black mark’ on her character so it was an interesting. I enjoyed it.
Great story
Easy read but entertaining. Misplaced it and couldn’t find it to finish . I found it when I was asked to review some other books. And was glad I could finish .
Tragic but ended with a happy ever after.
Great dynamic heroine that was able to face multiple challenges and change herself and her circumstances for the better.
Like the theme of personal responsibility. It shows how we can all grow. It also reminds of choices we make. As a young girl she didn’t understand the concept that both could die. The issues of guilt and redemption was a great concept of the book. The love story was ok. It kind fell flat,
Got off to a slow start but improved as it moved along. Good story and good characters. unique and different type of regency romance which was fine but I wished the H&H had a stronger romance sooner rather than later. Had some good twists and turns in the plot. I will probably buy the next one in series as I realy liked the two best friends of the main characters.
Could have been really strong story — I love regency romances and stories like this, but it felt as though the heroine wallowed in her past for 5/7th of the story. The romance was set up well to be angst ridden at first… but the conclusion was ludicrously quick and extremely unsatisfactory. I didn’t believe it. I liked the idea of a woman working with horses, and I really liked the older brother/romantic interest, but he also just seemed to bob along in the current of story without any independent will. It seemed like a short story trying to be a full story and satisfactorily doing neither.
I received this book for free with no strings attached. I am writing a review because I really enjoyed this book. This author does a good job of tying the characters and story together.
The characters and supporting characters are what make a story of guilt, tragedy, deception and mystery work. Viola and Brock each have to learn to start over. He because he left and his twin brothers were both killed in a duel over a woman. She, because she was the woman. He of course hates her and wants to make her pay for what she has done to his family. She has changed and tried to start over. The unforgiving ton will not allow that and neither will Brock. You will have to read the book to find out how they get past their differences. That is what makes this book so good. I will definitely read books by this author again!
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was a well written quick read, the characters were relatable and the storyline was original. At first I did not care for the main character, but as the story progressed I found myself rooting for her!!
This was a good read. Enjoyed it very much.
Good book
I enjoyed this book because it wasn’t just the same old story. The main character went from frivolous to mature based on her life experiences. I enjoyed the book and the sub messages about our lives having consequences for our choices and how much we can have a positive effect on others if we choice to.
Interesting characters, would be better as a “sweet romance” without the sexual details.
I enjoyed the women characters.
Sorry, this one seemed too unrealistic to me, but I may not be fair because I stopped after just a few pages. It certainly has an involved complex plot.
Loved the story.
Interesting and entertaining story! Captivating Romantic tale with unexpected twists!
It was a good read.
