Enjoyed reading. First time reading a book written by this author. The type of romance that will keep you up all night to finish. Recommend this to all readers.
This book was a little hard to read it first. It starts off with heart wrenching tragedy, which is carried through the rest of the story as a major obstacle for the main characters. They really had to change and grow to overcome what was set before them and find their happily ever after. Not an easy book to read but one well worth the effort.
I especially liked the growth and exploration of the 2 main characters. I enjoyed “getting inside their heads” , so to speak, so I could see and feel their anguish and change. An excellent regency romance story, more depth than is usually written.
It was so sad that she was thought to be responsible for the foolishness of 2 young men. To be punished by the one man she could love is tragic. But of course, there’s a reconciliation and HEA. It’s worth the journey this book takes you on to find it.
This is a nice start to the series though the pacing seemed a bit off. Some key characters are introduced very late in the story which then seems to rush to a conclusion when it could have lingered abut more. Recommended for fans of the genre.
I was delighted to find a new out there that I had not enjoyed before. Thanks for introducing to me
The book was interesting at first but the characters were a bit boring. I got tired and did not finish it was more cliche but I guess others can like the book.
Couldn’t put it down. Enjoyed.
Enjoyed the plot twist. Interesting premise on which to build a romance. Highly recommended read.
I love the overall story that was sad and thought provoking. Even though it ended on a happy note there were several character situations that were not address. I did enjoy reading this book however, there is room for improvement. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I liked that the main character was flawed but trying to redeem herself.
This was an okay storyline but I couldn’t really get into the developing romance of the two main characters, Lady Viola and Brock Spencer, Earl of Haversham. In fact I was more interested in the potential future story of the supporting characters, Ruby and Harold. It was entertaining enough that I did finish the book. I’ve read the Undaunted Debutantes series by this author, which was well written and I greatly enjoyed. This one, not so much.
I was invested in the characters and enjoyed the ups and downs of their lives through the story.
A nice light read for a rainy day.
Dull and badly written even though the premise was good.
Does not quite tie up all the loose ends, but it is a good story of healing and growth.
Kind of sad that she was shunned.
Although this book started off with an unbelievable tragic it ended great and I enjoy the action and the twisted of fate.
Very strange book where I felt the main characters barely spent five minutes in each others company .
I really liked this book. It brought me to tears several times.
It shows that even though you did something terribly foolish when you are young, if you want to, you can change and grow from your mistakes. You can’t change what you did but you can give back to society and help others less fortunate.
