A fun irreverent read. The Dad does come across as a bit of an A**.
a loving tribute to his father, a rough gruff but lovable father. funny quotes. 120 pages.
Fun read if you want to take a break from heavier stuff, which I did. The father had a lot of unique and funny wisdom. A character. Lots of love too. Written well. I enjoyed it. It was a great weekend read.
Didn’t care for all the swearing, and no, I’m not a prude. The swearing was overkill.
I love this book I read it any time I’m feeling down. I end up laughing my butt off.
Entertaining quick read
Too disjointed and could be any dysfunctional father anywhere. Knew a couple of these when I lived in New Jersey. That probably colored my opinion as I didn’t care for them then and still don’t get their parenting style.
reminded me of several friends in my life that say non political things but get away with it. Just a funny book that I checked many times. I would want to read the sequel.
Constantly funny
Perhaps we are twins. I recalled my father saying many of the same things.
I read this while on vacation; just easy, fun reading.
Writer made human story very funny but also very realistic.
Laugh out loud entertainment.
Not everyone has or had a Dad like this but you knew someone who was like the author’s Father who said what they thought and didn’t care if you liked their opinion or not.
If you have a dad, then you have to read this.
May a literature classic, bt funny and at times, funnily harsh. He says many of the things we are thinking. Laugh out loud funny.
A great quick read. While the theme and short story within each chapter were fine, what I really loved were the direct quotes at the end of each chapter. I love it when a book makes me laugh out loud and this one did it a bunch!!
