The light of the future can only be found by stepping out of the darkness of the past… After leaving her marriage, Juliette Walker wants to accomplish many new things, but meeting a new man certainly isn’t part of her plan. Plagued with struggles over her past, she seeks the advice of a professional. But after unloading her most intimate thoughts to the handsome stranger with dark hair and … stranger with dark hair and glasses at a friend’s party, she discovers he isn’t the man she thinks he is.
Although Juliette comes into Mark Hine’s life like an unexpected tornado, he finds himself intrigued by the bundle of energy who spills her secrets in a drunken barrage. Despite swearing off dating permanently since the tragic death of his fiancee, he keeps finding excuses to spend time with the single mom who makes him laugh and brings him out of his shell.
In the aftermath of Juliette’s most humiliating experience to date, she’s convinced Mark has permanently friend-zoned her, until the moment it becomes shockingly clear she couldn’t be more wrong.
But will demons of the past threaten to derail the opportunity for love? Or can two damaged hearts overcome their painful histories to find a future of happiness together?
Full Length Standalone book with no cliffhanger. Fifth book of the “Something Series”.
Show Me Something is for mature audiences due to steamy bedroom scenes that are in no way contained to just the bedroom.

Wow! I am so surprised that I had not read this one yet (especially since I read all the other books in the series right when they came out) It is so funny that Mark and Juliette had never met until now…. I mean, you would think that their paths would have to have crossed already! But no…. and she introduced herself in epic Juliette fashion! Then of coarse Mark had absolutely no choice but to find it both amusing and super sexy! When you get to read a story about 2 people getting together, and they were both a huge part in helping some of you favorite couples get together, you can not help but get super emotionally involved! Mark and Juliette’s story was so heartfelt and wonderful…. I had so many feeling while reading this book! It was totally worth the wait to see Mark get his HEA after the heartbreak you heard about his suffering all the way back in Tell Me Something! I am so beyond happy for these 2! Definitely a 5 star and I now I will totally want to revisit them again! Love them!
If you haven’t read Aubrey Bondurant yet you are doing yourselves a great disservice!! The Something Series is probably one of the best series from a new author I have read in a very long time. Show Me Something is the fifth book in this series and “maybe” the last.
We finally hear Mark’s story. This is a story I have been waiting for since book 1 and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! There has been something going on with Mark which we have seen small snippets of throughout the series but finally we hear his story. He is so broken and we slowly find out what he has had to endure over the years.
Juliette is Brian’s right hand girl, one of his closest friends, his confidant. She has some serious issues of her own to deal with, raising a child on her own and the dissolution of her marriage are only part of the problem. She feels unworthy and wants to change herself because she believes she is lacking. She is absolutely charming with her “foot in mouth” tendencies and I loved her immediately.
The two of them have issues indeed but Aubrey gives us a story full of wittiness, charm, love, steam and pain and brings these two characters to live in bright, living color.
I HIGHLY recommend this entire series!!
This was an extremely emotionally intense romance. I found this book very easy to get pulled into. I really liked Juliette, even if I did sometimes get frustrated with her. Her painful history., tension filled present and the emotional baggage she carried made her quite relatable and easy to feel for. I wish I could say the same for Mark but in truth, my feelings for him were much more complicated. I waffled back-and-forth between feelings of like and sympathy towards him and dislike and anger towards him. The story itself is very gripping and offers up a complex blend of intense emotion, drama, angst, humor, heat, sweetness, poignancy and heartache. Regardless of the fluctuation of my feelings while reading this book, I really liked these two together. They made an incredible couple that you became fully invested in and actively rooted for through the good times and the bad. I am of my own volition I am posting a forthright review.
Show Me Something is Book #5 in the Something series and it is amazing! It can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend you read the series because it is just that good. So glad to have Mark’s story. I loved him and Juliette together. I loved it.
My review from September 2017:
At last!! I’ve finally gotten my Mark fix. He was introduced to us in the previous books and I could not wait for this story!! I was intrigued, and a little turned on by this character. He is smart, quiet, and totally nerdhot! I knew he had a story that needed to be told and I knew it was going to be a good one. I could kiss the author for making my Mark so amazing.
First up, let’s discuss Mark’s mouth. His dirty-talking mouth was a VERY nice touch. It’s always the quiet ones – so mysterious, full of secrets, and full of delicious surprises. Made me tingle in all the right places. Thank you for that, Ms. Bondurant. So if you like your heroes to have a naughty mouth in the bedroom, you will most definitely fall in love with Mark.
Juliette is a fantastic heroine. She’s beautiful, sassy & sarcastic, and has the best sense of humor. And I LOVE her non-filter word vomit. It always comes out at the worst times. I laughed out loud quite a bit because of the ramblings that came out of her mouth. She is the perfect match for Mark – they complement each other perfectly.
I am a big fan of this author’s writing style. Her voice is entertaining and makes it easy to get lost in the pages of this story. She made these characters so real, with real-life issues and problems, and imperfections that readers can easily relate to.
Aubrey once again delivers an addictive story with the perfect blend of heart, humor, and spice. Show Me Something was everything I’d hoped for and more. The perfect ending to an amazing series. I am going to miss this group of friends!
